I don't have that problem in my guild, really.
We recently held a moderator election, and only 4 people nominated themselves.
I mean, our guild's pretty peaceful, so mods don't have too many things to do.

Yes It has happened to me but i just ignore it and then try to get them into a punishment like for example either they pay a fineor they get banned

Gree I’ve been constantly bribed to make people moderators for my guild and I have to say, it’s rather degrading and rude to me. In fact, I made it one of my guild rules not to bribe me to make them moderators. XD
Does this happen to you a lot? How do you handle it? Do you think I’m just overreacting?
I really can’t stand it. .__. Those people never actually make it into my guild.. I carefully check each member I let in.

No one in my guild has,and our captain informs me on anthing bad usually,i help him out a lot.

I'm vice captain of Teh Music guild (and the Killers guild but theres not many people in that) and I'd never had that happen 0_o
But I'd say, yes, warnings and bannings are in order!

I don't even have that prob. I been an active part of Poll Jumpers for a long while now, VC since '05, Captain for a while, now back to VC and not once had I had that. Guess its good my crew is much more tame then most I guess. whee

The Captain should know how things work.
Of course, a captain wouldn't make a crew member because of bribe. Captains usually pick who can hadle and do the job. Quality is what most people look for.
Its like being a captain of a ship. The guild is your ship.
If you make someone a crew member because of bribe, then the guild will be the one to degrade.

I haven't been asked personally *but then again, I'm a CM so yeah* but I have seen posts in other guilds I'm a part of where people begged.
It was rather humiliating to me just to see what a person would do. . .but that's just me.
