"We can make it through it," she whispered, repeating him. "We have to, for the sake of the pups." She knew they couldn't continue living like this, not if they were to have children that resembled the very wolf they worried about. They would need to talk with Jaxom and to set things straight.

Nuzzling against her mate, she smiled and rumbled happily. "Thank you, love. That was all I needed to hear," she said in response to him saying that he would try to make things better.

Really, that's all that mattered. She just wanted him to try to make things better with his brother, to show that his heart really was big enough to forgive him for what he had done. It didn't matter if Jax didn't want to make up with his brother and his mate. All Taima cared about was that they at least tried.

Turning to the subject of naming the pups, she smiled and looked down at the four bundles of fur nosed into her belly. Leith suggested that they name the girl first, and she had no problem with that.

"Okay, the girl first.." But then she drew a blank. She strained and thought, wondering through the pup's appearance and what possible personality she could have. But there were thousands of possibilities, and she had trouble pinpointing one that was perfect. So many options!

"Oh, I really don't know Damu... there are so many names that could fit! Amaya? Cassie?" she wondered, simply throwing out the first names that popped into her head. "Aeryn? Taren?" She really was at a loss.

Why was it so cold? None the less breezy?

Whimpering slightly as his fur began to be pulled this way and back as the last of his warmth seemed to be stripped from him. Suddenly his body was pushed to a source of warmth, fuzzy at that. Curling up against the warmth other strange sounds began to drift to his ears...deep voices talking, small whines which he could presume which was made from the other small warmths beside him.

But more than that....one voice spoke to him, it seemed so loud, so comforting. It made the pup's tiny maw tuck into a lopsided smile.

Hello little one....welcome to the world.

Tilting his head to the side even though he couldn't see anything, he felt as if the voice was somewhere...close. Real close.

Don't fear me, Juude... I mean you no harm. However....I will be with you from now on. My name is Johab, don't worry if you do not understand it now......yet soon you will understand.

Was that his name? Juude? Why did he have a sudden burst of energy? It was strange to him that he was comprehending all of this, and even able to think this way and realize he was so young. Was anything wrong with him? Squirming his body out from under his mother's body as his weap little paws exerted all the energy they could to make him sit up. Sitting as his ears perked and head swiveled around, he lost balance and tumbled backwards with a yip of joy at such a thrill!!

Wait....did he make that noise? Suuhh-weeet! Opening his little jaws he gave another yip.....and then another, and another, and another before

"YIPYIPYIPYIPYIPYIPYIPYIPYIPYIP!" Juude rang loud and clear, clearly enjoying himself in all his first moments of life.

Both males furrowed their brows deep in thought as their minds tried to formulate a good female name. But picking names was hard! Couldn't there be an easier way? Perhaps there was a way for the name to come with the pup, you know- like have them be born with a tag around their neck that says something along the lines of "Hello, my name is so-and-so". Now that would make this situation so much better and fast too!

"Picking names is hard," the white and gold swirled male laughed softly, his mind unable to formulate anything decent. How his parents had managed to name him along with his siblings boggled his mind.

Trying to listen as his mate was recommending names, there was one that suddenly caused his ears to perk upwards with interest.

"Wait- Aeryn," he spoke, a grin curling upon his maw as he watched the small female pup wrestle around, pushing away her siblings and squabbling as she continued to suckle as well as demonstrating so young that she was in charge. Somehow, it suited her- not too girly but suited any pup who was all about a rough and rumble nature. His new daughter, the only girl from their litter, was certainly a punk.

"I think it suits her perfectly," he chuckled, stretching his neck out towards the small female and nuzzling against her delicately. As the pup grumbled and continued feeding, Damu glanced up towards his mate, "Now how about-"

Suddenly the den filled with a chorus of continual yips causing the white and black swirled male to retreat his head and wince. His ears suddenly perked upwards, folding against his head as the oddly pattered black and mossy yellow swirled pup seemed to belt out as loud as he could. Was this puppy broken? Why was it yipping- or better yet, why was it continuously yipping? He adored all of his children, every single one, but somehow Damu could't stop thinking that this one...this puppy was a bit more "unique"- in a good way that is.

Perhaps a bit off the wall too.

Leith clenched his jaws, ducking his head and throwing his paws atop his ears. "What did you do- ...WHAT IS IT DOING!" He exclaimed, looking frantically back and forth from his parents. If this is what parents had to go through, it was worth it. But having a puppy freely yip because it liked the sound of what it was capable of-

Not good.

"Dude, that kid has lungs!"

"What?" Damu blinked, not understanding his son with all the commotion.

"Dude."

"Juu-"

"Duuuuuuuuude!" Leith extended, something- some thought tinkering within his mind as he looked at the peculiar pup.

As if a brick of brillance had suddenly broke though bringng inspiration, Damu blinked several times looking from pup, to Leith and then to Taima. His black banded tail thumped with great zest upon the dirt ground of the den as a smirk spread from ear to ear. "Juude," he laughed, shaking his head as the name seemed the only one suitable for such a rambunctious, oddly hued pup. He was Damu and Taima's son after all and, in this case, odd was certainly a part of the family. Each pup was an individual- each was unique in looks.

But this pup- Juude, now he was something special that Damu took great interest in.

The white and gold swirled male shook his head. "I said 'dude'!"

"No- Juude! That's the pups name- the black, mossy-yellow, orange pup. Juude!"

"Oh- Juude. That's kind of odd.." Leith mused, furrowing his brows as he let it settle within his mind. "But it seems like a fitting name for a rather odd ball of fur. What do you think mom?"

Taima wagged her tail as the task of naming the children began. She was eager to get them all names, but she was rather low on ideas for names for all of them. Really, she had thrown all of her ideas out for the two boys to decide and pick one, and they had all been female names! Oh, she was doomed.

When Damu seemed to perk up at the name Aeryn, the mother became excited again. It was much easier naming a pup when there were a couple of wolves to turn to for opinions.

"Aeryn then--" she was about to pronounce, yet then something interrupted her. Something loud.

"YIPYIPYIPYIPYIPYIPYIPYIPYIPYIP!"

If it weren't for the suckling pups at her belly to still her, she could have very well jumped up and ran off a good few feet. But her mother instincts conquered her flight instincts, and she remained where she was. But that didn't stop her from folding her ears back and wincing her eyes shut as the cries of a puppy that had just found his voice filled the air quickly.

Tai peeked an eye open, and noticed that Leith and Damu were trying to say things to each other. Her ears were folded, so she had a harder time hearing them than would have been normal.

She had to do something, she decided. It was great that the pup was healthy and could cry out normally, but her son was simply passing his limits with her when he continued on and on. Attempting to hush the child, she rumbled low and licked him all over his tiny body. It was a technique she had always used, it was supposedly soothing and relaxing. She hoped it worked!

Hearing Leith speak to her, she tilted her head to glance up at him. "Juude?" she repeated, not sure if she had heard him right. "It is a strange name, I daresay, but he is a strange pup," she laughed, nuzzling her son affectionately. "I think it suits him nicely."

"Now, which next?"

"So- Aeryn and Juude," he announced, looking towards the two distinct pups as a small rumble of laughter couldn't help but sound from his chest. "Now for the last two. Let's try and name..oh, the brown one."

Leith blinked a few times, furrowing his brows and attempting to formulate the perfect name for the next son. But such a task still remained just as hard as the first time they attempted to name the female pup. Looking from both Taima and Damu, the white and gold swirled male shook his head as his shoulders slumped a bit.

"Why don't we give him a simple name? Something easy...easy enough to remember alongside Juude and Aeryn." Studying the pup with a speculative gaze, Leith pursed his lips.

"Something like- something like Tor. A good, simple but strong, name."

The black ears of the white and black swirled wolf perked up, emerald eyes looking towards his son with a small grin plastered upon his maw. Tor- it was certainly simple enough and, like Leith said, it had that strength and that defined manly-ness. It was perfect.

Good and strong- it fit well. This would be a name that any one of Damu and Taima's pups could live up to. Well- Juude seemed a bit off the wall but certainly even he could make Damu proud. All pups seemed rambunctious at first.

There was still hope.

Certainly Tor could live up to his name, right?

"Tor- I like it. I think it will suit him well," he chimed in, nodding his head as he nuzzled against his mate and glanced up towards her.

"What do you think, Taima?"

Taima nodded her agreement as it was decided that the brown pup's name would be chosen next. She focused her attention on said pup, narrowing her eyes slightly as if to see some invisible clue that would help her come up with a perfect name for him. But she drew a blank, like before, and she found it rather frustrating. Why couldn't she come up with anything?

"Easy, yes, that sounds good. I like simple names." It made them easier to remember. Yet to her, all names were lovely. They defined a soul and made it so that it wouldn't just be some nameless thing wandering about. Names were very important.

"Tor?" she repeated, mulling it over in her mind for a minute or so. It was very simple, and she smiled as she looked down at the brown and black pup. He was squirming about slightly, but had instantly settled again once the taste of warm milk was flowing through his small mouth once again. He was a simple pup, content to just suckle while his other siblings seemed to be either more adventurous or more... outspoken.

Shifting slightly, the mother looked back up towards her mate and her older son. "I think Tor is perfect."

Glancing back down at her newest litter, she was amused to find the newly named Tor rolling over. It seemed that his mother's shifting had caused him to lose his balance, whatever bit of balance that he had in his tiny body. So now he was simply moving with momentum, stopping when he hit his next sibling--Aeryn. He squeaked, perhaps surprised by the sudden furryness at his side. Lifting his head, the sightless pup then searched for something to suckle. But instead of finding a teat, he found his sister's ear!

Tai's eyes widened slightly, eager to see what would happen next. She thought that surely Tor would realize the ear wasn't a supplier of milk and move away. But instead, it seemed that the brown male was content to suckle the milkless ear. She smiled, greatly amused.

"Such strange puppies we've got here, this will be fun."

Damu nestled close to his mate as his emerald orbs held a kindling light abiding within them. Once again, he and Taima were proud parents of a healthy and rather strange bunch. But it didn't matter- Damu couldn't care. Rather than having a cookie cutter family, he enjoyed having each pup with a distinct personality and attitude. It seemed already that the new litters personality were molding and making themselves known.

Kyrro seemed strong- just like his father. A bit larger and with no shortage of fur, the pup held the image of his father in a newfound array. This seemed to cause the white and black swirled male to grin, shaking his head and wondering just how the pup would grow and how he'd act or, perhaps, he already figured that he just very well might act just like good 'ol dad.

Juude.

What could be said about Juude?

It was evident that, by far, this pup was the strangest out of the litters and their older children. The black and orange hued pup certainly did have a good pair of lungs and his antics was something very strange, very, very different. But, once again, Damu could care less. This was his son and he couldn't be prouder- even if he did have orange on his fur.

The next boy was Tor. And he seemed- well, Damu couldn't quite put a paw on it. At this point, he figured the pup was a bit confused but at least not as abstract as Juude. It seemed that balance was something that wasn't on his side and the white and black swirled male could only assume that would be something that the pup would grasp later on in life.

As for Aeryn-

The small pup seemed to grunt as her brothers maw began to suck upon her ear. Such a strange and unwelcomed sensation! Her tiny muzzle wrinkled as, even though she was sightless, she turned towards her brother and tried to push him away and get his maw from off her ear. Shaking her head and moving it side to side, the only female of the litter was trying to make it clear that she was no sucking toy.

Well- Aeryn was rough around the edges already. She was the only female and surrounded by three brothers and certainly having Juude, Tor and Kyrro constantly badger her wouldn't help her; it would make her a bit more rugged if anything.

Damu smiled to himself, chuckling as he turned towards his mate and licked her on the cheek. "Strange indeed. But it's just another adventure,"he replied, leaning against his mate as he glanced towards his white and gold swirled son.

Leith had slinked onto his stomach as his two toned eyes were fixed upon the small bundles of fur that were curled beside his mother. Thoughts and predictions of what he and Marissa's pups seemed to boggle his mind but the thought of being a soon-to-be parent only made him smile.

A yawn escaped from his maw as his tail thumped upon the ground.

"Kyrro, Juude, Tor and Aeryn," he remarked, shaking his head as he grinned. "Looks like the fun has only begun."
