((XD every place needs a Resident a**. Is he like... Heathcliff calibur a** or just an a** in general?))
Asher certainly had that air about him... It seemed as though Calder would never quite escape 'court life' no matter where he went. He glanced towards Asher with a chuckle. "Once the children start running around, I doubt there will be much quiet to be had for a long while..."
Of course, Calder didn't mind that one bit. It seemed to confuse him how anyone couldn't adore children, but he just smiled patiently at the man's statements. "Assumptions?" he questioned, and hooked his thumbs in his pockets, his own long multi-hued hair tied in a loose tail down his back, but the curls at the end still seemed rather unruly, as did the two strands that hung on either side of his face.

((heathcliff a**... he has no social skillz save the ones bred in to him by being a noble. Best way to describe him = frigid))
"Hmm, yes. They start skulking around, giggling like mad and having whispered conversations just out of earshot. Soon, they're jumping at me behind corners and tying me to posts. It's quite trying,"
Asher took a look around, but it seemed that the women had moved off a bit and the silence was heavenly.
"I don't mind children. They're not hatching nefarious plans about attacking me in a dark alley and holding me hostage whilst they get the 'wedding' planned."
Asher looked over at the other man and smiled slightly.
"What dragged you in to this crazy mess that we're in?"
((ha ha, changing Asher's personality a bit. Comfortable around men... not around women. He lived in a monastery for a time, for goodness sakes!
... DO NOT QUESTION HIS SEXUALITY. I have no answers.))

PS. Heathcliff ftw X3))
"I'm a teacher," Calder immediately replied, and glanced over towards Asher, offering one of his milder smiles. "English teacher. What about yourself?" Asher certainly didn't seem the type to come to a place like this of his own volition... But Calder had seen stranger things. And the man had interesting and somewhat amusing thoughts regarding women and marriage.

"I was a priest in a Temple and I was thrown out. They were... worried about me," Asher realized that he wasn't explaining himself very well, and was probably giving Calder the wrong idea, "Well, they seemed to think I was mad. I didn't speak much and I would often wander around after hours. They sent me on a quest. That was about 4 years ago."
The English language was devilishly hard, which Asher knew quite well since he had to learn it himself several years before. He learned it well, but he still said the wrong things sometimes and would try to correct himself as best he could. His mental view of Calder went up somewhat. A scholar was an upright position for a man of knowledge.
Asher frowned slightly, "I am at a loss, regretably. I am renting a little house down the way from the Liberty Center, but I do not have the funds to rent it for much longer. My esteemed parents are very far away, and they also disinherited me some time ago," Asher fixed Calder with his icy stare and continued, "I have not spoken of this to anyone else. You seem to be a man of knowledge. Have you any ideas?"
((I LOSE at RPING. BTW he reproduces using cabbages, thank you very much))

As the men moved off on their own, Eri found herself with the other women, and... well... lost. The only two she'd actually spoken to were the men, but they were engrossed in their own conversation, which meant paying attention to the women, and...
Well, let's see. Ahneta reminded her somewhat of Arch, which was mildly comforting, though disquieting at the same time, given that similarities only arose out of a mutual understanding of one another which meant-- enough analyzing, it wasn't Eri's strong point...
Shifting back and forth uncomfortably, Eri tried to focus on what was happening around her. Maybe this would be a good time to bow out and try to hunt down whoever she was to find for her paperwork? Or perhaps not...

Calder listened intently, truly fascinated by the confidence of Asher's history. He thought part of being a priest was being quiet, and spiritual rambles? Oh well, he'd never been much one for religion of any sort. It was religion that had unseated him from his home, after all.
"Hmm... I'm living in an apartment just a little way from here myself," he said, brows creasing as he puzzled on Asher's situation, gazing off into the distance and looking rather like he was daydreaming. At least, until he opened up his mouth again, speaking to Asher but still staring into nothingness. "Well, what are you good at? You could find something you like to do. The only way you'll find a proper income is to get a job... I write critiques and editorials. It's not much, but it keeps me fed. Well, besides the teaching, of course."
((Nah, you're fine XD Asher makes me giggle like a schoolgirl.))

"A job? My good sir, I haven't worked a day in my life. I thought perhaps you could help me come up with a cunning plan for a heist of some sort."
My beauty must be fazing him... he's started to go slightly bleary eyed...
"What I am good at is too common of an ability for me to make an income of it. While I was at the temple, I became the temple potter and started to make pots and dishes and secretly, some pieces of art," Asher leaned down conspiratorly and whispered the last, "The temple I belonged to was.. odd. A noble temple, run by nobles and funded by nobles. The lazy, the stupid, the ugly... children of noble birth that were a pox on the family were sent there. I was not so unfortunate, i chose to go there."
((LOL. First time RPing as a man, so i seem to make him quite silly but i am trying to make him suave.))

"A heist?" Calder looked right back towards Asher. "What do you mean, a heist? Like... a bank robbery?" The sidhe's brows furrowed even more than in thought, and he shook his head. "No, no, I won't be involved in any sort of tomfoolery like that."
He frowned intensely for a while, eyeing Asher for just a moment, then brightened again. "There's an extra room I'm not using in the apartment. We could set you up for a few days until you find out what to do about your money problem."
((Really? :00 Your first time RPing a guy? I couldn't tell at all. Calder is... such a dork. *prods at him* He's like, "I SHALL FIX YOUR PROBLEM <3"))

Ahneta observed the men for a few moments, taking note of the one's discomfort towards the women. That could be entertaining, in the future...but she moved past that, shifting her attention to the women around her.
Shifting her gaze to Eri, as she was the only other she had heard speak, she decided she may as well learn more about her.
"You said your name was Erimentha?"
The girl seemed shy. Or at least, preferred to be quieter. A pity...the more vocal someone was, the more entertaining they usually were. Ah well. There was another woman as well, and she turned a questioning gaze on her, a silent request for her name as well.
((Heh, most of my guardians are men...Ahneta is a rarity in my collection >.> ))

((Most of my guardians are women, but this is the first time I'm playing Eri. xD))
Eri smiled slightly at Ahneta, nodding slightly. "And you're Ahneta," Eri confirmed that she'd been listening earlier. "I... you remind me of someone, Miss Ahneta." Why had she said that? It wasn't important, wasn't relevant, and she was fairly certain that Ahneta wouldn't care.

Lara retraced her steps back a few paces. She had just been walking past a fairly large group of people when one of the women smiled at her politely. Or at least she hopped it was a smile. From the distance it looked liked the girl had been smirking or snarling at her in a disgusted sort of way. Lara's first reaction was smelling at her hair. If someone had very bad hygiene and could be smelt from this far away. Then yes, that would be a reason to give such a look. But her hair smelt of the peach shampoo she had used only last night. A perfectly innocent smell.
Feeling a little awkward just standing there, gawking at the group. Lara took a few steps forward and began moving over the grassy area which separated her from the other woman. She waited a moment while the... peculiarly dressed woman, finished what she had to say -which turned out to be useful as it gave her the name of whom she was about to speak to- Before cautiously turning to the women who may or may not have smiled at her “Thank you for directing me over here Miss Erimentha. I appreciate the help,” Lara returned the woman's gesture with a smile of her own. At least she was better dressed than some people.

The woman from before had come over! Eri blinked before giving her another smile, nodding slightly. "Ah, you're quite welcome," she murmured, glancing between this newcomer and Ahneta. "I don't believe I know your name, Miss?"
Because in this time, place, world, conversations happened in multiple instances at the same time. It was a trait which Eri had to become adjusted to...

Lara gave a soft chuckle, noticing the slightly dazed look which had come across Eri's face. Perhaps she should have just waited a bit longer for her and the other woman to end their conversation. "Larainne Kardon," she responded. Eyeing off the second female. She had had voiced her words loud enough for both of them to hear, and she wondered if Miss Legs would also introduce herself. Even if Lara didn't approve of her dress sense, she would still force herself to try and talk with her before judging. Lara Offered Eri a hand to shake, shrugging off her thoughts. “Lara works fine as well," she added.

((ha ha So long))
Alder bowed to Calder.
"Good sir, I would appreciate that very much. Since you have offered me the room not under charity but under the impression that it is to help me receive an income of my own, I would be more than happy to accept. I am in your debt."
Asher straightened back up and rearranged his clothing. He started to talk, hesitated, and then continued,
"Would you perhaps like to see a couple of pieces of my pottery? i didn't bring much with me, but I'd like you to take a look," Asher looked down, "I am sorry to bother you so much, but its a pleasure to speak to one so learned. You remind me of a friend I once had, a priest."

"I remind you of someone? Do you mind me asking who?"
Ahneta raised an eyebrow at that, feeling amusement roll across her face. Well, she usually didn't hear that...who did she remind Eri of? There weren't many people quite like her in the world. What an intriguing prospect!
Eying the other girl, Lara, Ahneta inclined her head in what could be considered a friendly manner.
"Lara, hmm? I'm Ahneta."
If Lara did eventually share her opinion of Ahneta's - well, style, it would likely amuse her more then anything else; such things always did.
((Miss Legs...I like that 4laugh ))
