Quote: You gotta admit it would be really cool to have a movie. unless they screwed it up, then we would have to kill them yeah, it would be nice if they had the movie, at least sometime soon, but like everyone is saying they are only working on the script? and it'll be a while before everything is set. well, i wouldn't nessisarrily kill them, but be really mad and upset.

Rayne Skyver all i'm gonna say is if they make a movie and it murders the book I will start a riot infront of every movie theatre by my house. I will gather a roit of people who disliked the movie and then we will chain ourselves to the doors of the movie theatres so other people cant get in and they will loose business until they get the producer and the director of the movie there and then I will beat them up :3 I agree, if they butcher the book with a movie like they did Eragon i will going on some kind of maiming spree.

Twilight would be a good movie idea if they wouldn't leave out any little detail.....which would come to a maybe 3 hour movie, but hey. They made king kong and that movie wuz the biggest 3 hours i've ever wasted....

I personally wouldn't mind sitting through a three hour movie if that was the only way they could make it perfect. I would take perfect over comfort in a movie sense anyday especially when it comes to Twilight. And hey, I sat to watch Lord of the Rings for that long I can'[t see why I wouldn't for this.

I totally agree with you. You guys, brush up on your reading. Go to the site. For those of you who are too lazy, I have the update right here. Quote: ***Update: As of January 25th, 2006, MTV Films, Paramount and Maverick have renewed the option! This means that they have until April of 2008 to buy the rights to the story. Usually (as it was explained to me), a production company will buy the rights when they begin principle filming, which means all kinds of exciting stuff might possibly happen between now and then. Things like finished scripts and casting and picking a director! I will keep you updated on any news I get about the movie!***

Honestly, I loved Eragon... the book-made-movie, I thought slaughtered the book was Ella Enchanted... >.<;; The only thing that was based on the book were the names of the characters and setting... and the curse. EVERYTHING else was changed, even the way she broke the curse and the reason for her setting out in the first place.

I hope we're good at dodging bullets becuase I was looking at populatrity for casting as Edward in Twilight and Orlando Bloom is number three. Not that I don't like the things that Bloom has done in the past, but he is just not Edward. Though the two people ahead of him are very likely looking candidates.

It might be a fake, but it still makes my stomach jump when I think of a movie of the book. I don't even know if that is a good thing or a bad one...

Mrs. Meyer's site says that Paramont bought the rights to consider and repurchased them which makes Twilight becoming a movie a pretty good posibility, but it's still in its very, very early stages.

Ryore Mrs. Meyer's site says that Paramont bought the rights to consider and repurchased them which makes Twilight becoming a movie a pretty good posibility, but it's still in its very, very early stages. Optioned and renewed the option... there is a difference between optioning and buying the rights. To buy them would mean that they were positive they were making a movie. To re-quote what shiko_me quoted from the site: Quote: ***Update: As of January 25th, 2006, MTV Films, Paramount and Maverick have renewed the option!
