"Heeeeey, no fair!" Miri whined. She didn't want a bath, but look at her now! Oooo, silly Cheza! "I wouldn't have had to get one if you didn't get me dirty!" she complained unhappyily, hurrying after him. Perhaps the movements ran in their blood, for Miri too move on light feet. Though her smooth footwork was more due to her wonderful sence of rhythm and melody then anything else.

Wacheza smiled and ran backwards, watching her, "Dare you to catch me." He giggled in his own childlike way, "And then I'll even tell mommy that I'm the one who got you dirty."

"I'm going to get you!" Miri warned with a laugh, bounding after him and loosing her grace to speed on her stubby cub paws. The sand shifted back and forth under her hurried steps and the sea-air rushed through her dirty fur as she chased after her brother. Ooooh! She was going to catch him! Not because of his offer, but because the challenge was too hard to resist!

Wacheza chuckled in his cuteish way and ran as fast as he could, running up to the rockier part of the shore, where he could leap back and forth across the rocks and over large holes between them in hopes of loosing his sister. He was fast, no doubt, but that was mostly because he knew the area so well from all of his mindless wandering.
"Can't catch me unless you're faster Miri!" He called over his shoulder to her, prancing up ahead.

"You've got a head start!" Miri laughed as she raced after him, following his foot patterns and leaps and she too jumped from rock to rock. Her tail lashed out to catch her balance as she moved back and forth, trying to gain on her quick-footed brother. He sure was fast! But she didn't get discouraged. Instead she kept going, grinning wildly with excitement. "Better watch out, Cheza, I'm gonna catch you!" she called, though she wasn't gaining by much. Nkechi walked at an easy pace down the beach, letting the warmth of the sand soak into her paws as she moved. Ohhh, she loved the sea! It had come to be her home and the dark days of the graveyard were now far from her mind, almost forgotten. Her green eyes got lost in the waves as they moved back and forth. It was so soothing~! Then her ears perked slightly and she turned her head, hearing the familiar rings of laughter. She smiled warmly, her eyes taking an almost childish glitter themselves as she saw two of her children.

Wacheza bounded towards his mother, spotting her, "Won't catch me before I get to mom!" He cried over his shoulder, running up an especially large rock and jumping off, sliding in the sand towards his mother, landing right at her feet only inches before he would have run into her.
"Hi mom." He said with a smile, still coated with sand, seaweed and salt water, "We were playing and got a little dirty..."

"Awww!" Miri mewed, letting her bounds slow as it became clear her brother had won. Ah well. Maybe someday she'd be able to catch him! Instead of sliding she pranced to the edge of the rock lightly. She stood there for a moment, looking rather prim, and then smiled widely and leaped off with a loud "WEEEEE~!" She landed in the sand with a "ooff!" and dust scattered everywhere. When it cleared she got herself up, covered in more sand, and trotted over to her mom, "Hi Momma!"
"Oooh, what were you too playing?" Nkechi asked sweetly, looking genuinely interested. "Looks like you to were having fun!" She smiled brightly, not even seeming to care about how dirty they were. She was far from a strict mom of any kind. She was a bit too dim for that. Besides, she loved her kids and she just wanted to enjoy being with them.

Wacheza smiled brightly, pracing over to his sister, glad that his mother was interested in what they did. He loved that his mother genuinly loved them and was always interested in what they were doing. He would never burden her with his strange philosophies, so his mood was often much lighter when he was with her, and his wit much quicker.
"We were racing to see who could find you first. I won." Wacheza said proudly before looking at his sister, "But Miri was really close! I've just been exploring more than she has been."

"Nuh uh! You beat me cause you're faster!" Miri chirped as she came to stand side-by-side with her brother, pressing her shoulder against his. She looked up at her mother with the same hued orbs that they both shared, "I explore just as much!" Though...really that wasn't quite true. Miri liked to sit by the sea and hum or just hang around the waves. She wasn't quite as much of the explorer as Cheza, though she liked to believe so. She didn't like being left out of the fun.
"Oohh~! You too are both so fast!" Nkechi giggled, meaning exactly what she said, "I wasn't that quick when I was your age." Well...she hadn't been much of anything at their age. Instead of having fun she had been hiding from shadows, hyenas, and the skulls of the graveyard. She had been a terrified child, with only her family for comfort. A family that she had rarely seen, since everyone was always spread apart. It definately wasn't the same as the way she was living with her children. Unlike Ishara, she spent as much time with her cubs as possible. But then...she wasn't quite as swift as her mother and she had a passion for babies and everyone in general.

"Well... I have to know what things look like because I don't pay a lot of attention. If I don't know where everything is, I trip and fall all the time." Wacheza said bashfully, leaning back against his sister while he leaned his head against his mother's legs, rubbing up and down affectionally.
"I'm sure you were fast moma." He said fondly, not noticing that he was getting his mother wet. He didn't know all that much about her past, but he did know how happy she was to have them, which made Wacheza happy to have her, and happy to have his siblings. "Maybe we should all race sometime. Our whole family. I bet we would all fall on each other." He chuckled in his boyish way.

"Noari would win," Nkechi laughed happily, "but it sounds fun! Hehe!" It was funny, even around her children she never called Noari their daddy, she always had to call him by name. The whole parent aspect, in all technical terms was fuzzy for her. She just understood and she and Noari had done something amazing by creating 6 new lives. And that she loved them all very much. She settled down on her belly, giving Wacheza an affectionate nuzzle before reaching out with one large paw and scooping Miri towards her for a bath. Her other paw reached out to rest behind her son, having the same intent for him.
Miri squealed, half giggles, half dismay, "Momma! I don't want a bath! Your tongue tickles!"

Wacheza nuzzled up against his mother as she cleaned Miri, "Well... daddy is so much bigger than us, he can run faster." He said quietly, "I bet you would be really fats too mommy."
He understood that his mother was still a little fuzzy on the whole parent thing, his father had kind of helped explain it so that he would understand why Nkechi didn't call him Wacheza's 'daddy' even though he was. After all, Wacheza did pretty much look like his father except for his color, which was very much his mother's.
He didn't fight against his mother as she cleaned them. He honestly didn't mind, and just sat back and accepted it. It made his mother too happy when he sat back and enjoyed himself, than if he struggled about it like his sister.
He actually didn't mind baths. They helped relax him.

Nkechi ignored her daughter's pleas, running her tongue through the young girls fur. She wasn't completely thurough, but she did get quite a lot of the filth off. Keeping her attention on something was not one of her strong suits, after all. She then tilted back her paw, letting Miri scramble away in a fuss before nudging her son affectionately and making an attempt to give him a similar washing with her rough tongue, "Mm...I don't know...you guys are pretty fast...you'd probably still beat me!"

Wacheza seemed perfectly alright with his mother licking him clean, since he, unlike his mother, was good at only focusing on one thing at once, "I don't know mom... you're still a lot bigger than we are. You could just step on our tails and we wouldn't be able to go anywhere."

Nkechi frowned, "Oh no! That'd be horrible...it'd be terribly mean." She looked a little distressed at the idea. Chi was a lioness who had never really resorted to any sort of violent action in her life-she had never even learned to hunt for herself, for Noari took care of it. And due to her dim nature she couldn't really tell when her son was joking. "No no, I'd much rather loose to you all. It's much more fun that way, isn't it?" she smiled sheepishly.
