I have trouble in the following areas.

1. My biggest problem is detail. Sometimes I feel like I'm giving to much detail or not enough. Then again, 'in the eyes of the beholder' I suppose.
2. When I'm writing, I worry about changing the character's personality. I mean, of course the character's personality is going to change in time. I just don't want to seem like my character is changing to soon, more like I want it to flow together.
3. Writers block, enough said.
4. This one happens a lot to me. Say you don't have writers block, but someone happens to constantly bug you. For example, parents, siblings, friends, and even boyfriend/girlfriends. It’s not like you want to ignore them or anything. It’s just you are trying to write something. When this happens, you lose your trail of thought and form a different type of writers block. –Left eye twitches frantically- I’m not sure if anyone follows what I’m saying or has experienced that.
5. For me, names aren’t a huge conflict in my writing. The problem I have usually is looking for a certain name I want to give a specific character. Normally one that will fit the character’s personality.
6. At times, I worry about my grammar and my usage of vocabulary. I don’t want to sound like I’m in grade school. I want to sound like I’m an experience writer. [Even though in comparison to a lot of people I’m not experience in the least.]
7. Another issues I have in writing a story, is determining when I should end the chapter and begin a new one. Also, ending the story in general is hard. I don’t want to drag out the story, nor do I want to end it abruptly.
8. I worry about sounding to passive. I’m not sure that’s the right word for what I’m about to explain. It’s the usage of the passive tense.

For example:
Footsteps would thunder in the distance as his cerulean hair continued to be tossed around within the oncoming rush of wind.

-Vs.-
Footsteps thundered in the distance as his cerulean hair continued to be tossed around within the oncoming rush of wind.

See the difference? A friend corrected me on an old habit I use to have. Using these words have, would, cloud, should, ect. These words are considered passive tense words. I know this wasn’t a good example, but I think everyone gets the main idea. They can be over used, and people sometimes get bored reading those words to much. At least from what someone told me. Also, if you are making an entrance it can make it sound weaker. So I worry about that.

I’ll add more later… ^^

One might say that my biggest problem is my obsessive editing or that I don't start until I have a basic character and plot outline. But no. My biggest problem is:

Finding time to sit down and start.

Seriously, if I'm not doing something my mom wants me to do for her (which is most of th time), I'm either babysitting or working on other projects.

Finishing the story before going back to edit it and make it 'better'.....

This mainly.
As well as coming up with histories for my characters. I need to work on them more.
As well as the middle part of the story. *the meat of it*

How to end a story, to find and stick to my theme and message, and to not reduce it to pure dialogue. The last is hardest.
