Who is going to be joining the roleplay? Right now, it looks like only three people are interested, and it's a tie between the three scenarios.

Its a hard decision crying but I guess I'll go with the second.....and the third one sound kind of like the Bartemaeus Trilogy (I think I spelled that word wrong: Bartemaeus) from the golem(s) described in the......second book, The Golems Eye.

I know I based the Golems off of something, but I think it was more oriented toward the Forgotten Realms Books than the Bartimaeus Trilogy. I suppose some things about my Golems could be related to the Bartimaeus Golems, but most of it was just imagination.

Second Idea seems popular. I thought the idea of a roleplay had died out with the sudden void of people capable of typing complete sentences. That's not to say that there were no literate people. It's just that very few of them seemed interested.

I think the first thing I should do is read the Second Idea. I can't remember anything about any of them.

Update after reading all three plots:

Good Lord, you all liked the second idea? I thought it was too clichè to get more than a few votes. Then again, almost everything seems clichè to me for some reason, so I suppose it was probably just me. Still, I can work out the loose ends and figure things out. I've been absent from Gaia for a long time. I blame Blender 3D, City of Villains, Neverwinter Nights, Oblivion, Command and Conquer, Starcraft, Unreal Tournament, Knights of the Old Republic, and a lot of other games/programs that I've played/used recently. I'm pretty sure that the list wouldn't fit on one page.

Er...who is still actually interested in this? Can everyone who cares enough about this to join post, please?

Hey, I was wondering, can we make role-playing suggestions here too?

Sure, but I'm afraid that the main roleplay is locked down for now. I could always try to incorporate some new ideas into it as the roleplay progresses, though.

Raising my hand and saying I care.

I myself can't see how the second roleplay would work, except as a group of survivors desperately trying to hold on and, maybe, summon the gods. Not certain where they'd be working.

I, too, would like to see a political intrigue plot. This idea probably isn't as good as Senisok's, but here it is. It might require a GM, or at least a regulatory creative effort, but I think we could manage one. This is also what seems to spring most logically from the events of the game, and it produces a good framework for plottable challenges and player positions.

It is a year after Martin's death, and there is still no Emperor. Spies bring back news of armies in Morrowind beginning to move towards Cyrodiil; ships are being built, plans are being plotted, war is in the forge to strike at the empire while its iron is still warm from Mehrunes Dagon's forge.

Meanwhile, within Cyrodiil itself, rumors are stirring. With the prolonged absence of an Emperor and no apocalypse occurring, citizens are beginning to wonder if they need and Emperor at all. There are rumors of a new faction in Leyawin which claims that the idea of Cyrodiil being ruled by only one man is preposterous, especially now that he would no longer be dragon-blooded. A new saying has been coined there: "Gods cannot be crowned." While most sources say that this is just talk, others claim that this faction, known in whispers as "The Voices," is planning a revolution.

It was clear that the throne could remain empty no longer.

For a while, Chancelor Ocato considered crowning the new Champion Emperor, but those plans fizzled out after the Champion was found in pancake form at the bottom of a cliff; it was assumed that the trials of Oblivion combined with the loss of Martin had been too much for the poor hero. (A young bosmer boy who was often seen by the hero's side vehemently rejects this notion, claiming that "The Grand Champion was just running up to me, and slipped.") As such, the twelve have devised a way to determine the new Emperor: a tournament. Each city would produce a hero, and these heroes would compete in completing a series tasks of the Council's choosing - no mere games, but strong, immediate threats to the country itself. What those tasks are have yet to be announced, but it is rumored that the last task requires becoming blood-brother to on of the Nine themselves.

A war. A revolution. A new Emperor, and a new pact with a god. All these are rolling towards the horizon. The question is, will we ride upon the coming age, or be crushed beneath its wheels?

I finally have internet back and I am mad I didn't see this thread right away. I love the second idea. Its amazing. Because I would rather there be no happy ending with Martin living and everything be peachy. I would love to join this rpg. I just have a quick question......
So you say that we would be getting help from Daedric Princes. Well I was wondering if I could create a charactor that is a warrior from Sheogorath's realm, because he is too lazy and mad that he does not wish to help the other princes so he sends his best warrior. (I hope no one is sexest on me being a girl and being a great warrior from the Isles)

I like idea one because the only real thing they changed apart from the story was the fact that Martin was never seen again. I like the mysterious new race of people that appeared. Cool.

I like 2 and 3, but lean more towards 3, because I've already done the whole 'destroy Dagon thing' in-game, and I'd rather something fresh. To those who feel that happy ending = fail, 1 and 3 aren't happy endings at all, otherwise there's be no conflict to begin with. Consolidation yes, but no 'happy ending' as such.
(for reference, when I picture a happy ending, I picture one of those disney-esque where the villain is defeated, the people are safe and conflict is no more)
*cracks fingers in readiness for rebuttal-flame*

1 doesn't get anything from me though unless it sticks with canon - martin's gone, he ain't coming back. though to the guy that made it, if you hadn't finished the storyline when you wrote that, I can understand your error.

I am interested in this RP thing though, so if this ever gets off the ground before ES5, I'm in.
