((Tis fine luff *snugs* I've been busy myself too))
"Indeed," he spoke with grandeur and eloquent manners toward her preference with that namesake. She had the making of both song and sound if she deeply understood her inner voice. What did make Cotton the way he was some wondered. His happy mother and outgoing father perhaps, or was it just something he'd been gifted with? Whatever the case Cotton wasn't dwelling on too much as he noticed she seemed to like his musings and thoughts that the stallion so willingly offered.
"I see that your name has inspired you once again. Come why don't we go down by the river nearest to the forest. Let's see if you can find the words the environment sings to you. A lyrical Melody that sings with the heart of Gaia herself. A raving sonnet about many things that surround and entice you." He grinned fanning his tail in short flicks holding his frame very straight and proud as he walked around her a bit.
He loved to hear her sing and hoped she'd honor him once more as she found within herself the hidden talent that still fared deeply within such a pretty mare.

(*snugs*)
Melody: She grinned and trotted towards the river, blue curls fluttering lightly. She was thinking about making a completely new song, it would be a challenge to get it right perhaps instantly, but in such an environment and with such an inspiring stallion who knew.
"This river must be beautiful indeed since you seem to hold it in such high regard. You don't mind if I sing a completely brand new song? I don't mean recently made either or an existing song altered to fit the environment, I mean brand new made up on the spot." She turned to look at him questioningly with a small playful smile, asking for his opinion. Already it seemed she valued it. A rare thing for one who seemed oblivious to others at times and always one doing her own thing.

He watched her thoughtfully as his own hooves mirrored her hoofbeats within the fall laced turf of leaves and brambles. She was quite the vision to him, for pink of course was beautiful as a flower that rested upon spring and summer tales.
"I mind hearing such a beautiful songstress doing what she does best?" He looked at her quite abashed for a moment that winked with a bow of his head, sweeping his multicolored mane like the waterfalls along with him. "It would be an honor your Lady Faire, for myself to indulge within such beautiful words you shall speak." All right he knew that was a bit thick, but even Cotton couldn't resist complimenting such a gorgeous girl that paid attention to him.
He waited watching her to see what marvelous words would flow like ebb and tides of the ever changing sea. He was of course there for support but he wished to hear what she held deep within. For you see words were like looking into one's eyes, merely a gateway to the soul and emotion someone carried deep within. He raised his head now from his bow smiling deeply at her with a thoughtful expression.
"If you need any assistance, I'm here." he nodded back to her. Noticing some wild flowers he craned downward to pick them, then leaned over to place them in her forelock just behind her ear. A perfect addition for inspiration that made her stand out and be even more beautiful.

Melody: She laughed lightly, blue eyes sparkling gently. She nudged him playfully already words whirling around, forming the start of a beautiful song. Not a rock song, but a gentle warm song. "Well now I must rise to the occasion." She winked before closing her eyes completely, simply listening to the sounds of the world of beauty that surrounded her. Her face suddenly seemed filled with a new knowledge, of a song nearly complete. She opened her sparkling eyes and simply stared for a moment at the rippling river, blue eyes emphasized by it's natural glow. She looked back to the gorgeaous stallion beside her, admiringly, finding that the the song and environment itself would be incomplete without his presense.
A gentle, thoughtful and poetic like song started to swirl amongst the forest and touched all that were near.
"Dreams of soquili far and near fill the air and linger here. Filled with adventure, stardom, change and love. All come from nature and from high above. Many seemingly impossible, too far to reach. Look closer now and you might see, that dreams are granted for every single one of you and me.
Every step we take marks the beginnings of an adventure. Every beautiful word spoken and dance performed the makings of a star. Simply a dream come true.
Every flower that blooms in spring. Every foal born and raised. Every new creature, friendly face and profound thought. A dream of change come true.
Every playful nudge. Every warm and sparkling gaze. Every kind word and prayer for another. A dream of love come true.
Dreams are really not so far away, they are really that of reality."

He waited in anticipation of hearing this angel's voice. A true Melody of the heart and soul created from her very essence struggling within. Cotton was really a sap when it came to anything beautifully done, especially words or actions that made another happy. Perhaps it was his mother with her soft words when they were foals. He'd listen for hours on end compiling things for when he grew up, admiring and intaking anything that would make another appreciate him as much as he did them. Though yes he was a stallion, Cotton still wasn't out to woo everything and anything he encountered. Only those that were worthy of his affection and time he delved deeply for resonance in his meetings.
When she began her song his ears swiveled to the sweetness that reached him like a symphonic bell. Words. Beautiful creations by the certain movings of one's tongue as it pressed against the roof of your mouth. To others it was conversation, to Cotton it was music made into poetry.
He listened deeply as the universe around her helped churn a tale about happiness and contentedness. The sheer enjoyment of life through memories, dreams, hopes, they all resided in her song. Indeed she'd be a marvelous singer as she grew with time, he only wished he'd be a part of it too. Such a selfish thought to wish on something that he was sure would never come true. He was rather fond of Melody and wanted to stay in her gaze as much as she would let him.
"Nodding he smiled and approved with a big smile and bow to her, "Never in my youth besides my mother's grace, have I ever lived to hear such clarity and prose as you have demonstrated. Melody I wish to be by your side each time you create a new song, for you have never made a stallion feel more appreciative of the art you fully create and achieve."
He stood there hoping she'd catch his subtle hint, heck maybe he had spoke a bit bold towards her.

Melody: Upon finishing her song she felt slightly tired, the brand new song seeming to have required energy that she didn't even know she had. She did not feel drained however, the song having made her happy like no other had before. That song would not have even existed if it wern't for him.
Melody beamed at his sweet words, sea green eyes glittering like never before. In the past she had been known to tease playfully and innocently those who admired her and had gushed over her songs, never having felt seriously about any of them. ...The thing was she didn't feel like teasing him.
She had never felt so fond of another soquili before and with that thought she nudged his face gently, blushing slightly before saying. "I'd love for you to be there for every song."

Her words perked his ears straight forward, shocked how she had responded back to him. "You would?" such a silly outburst for him to spout out in surprise. But she was rather beautiful, for pink was something of a godsend in a soquili. That was of course straight from his father's thoughts. This he was sure of.
His ears still flowed with the melodic tune that carried still in his head. Perfect music. Only some could whisper how they "thought" they were music. But Melody was true as her name and perfect in his eyes.
When she nudged him he grinned with a sweeping bow of his head head toward her, "Then if this is what the lovely Melody wishes, I shall try and fulfill." The stallion gazed at the pretty mare with intensity, yet he held a soft emotion that rested on those orbs of his. Instead his voice became his heart as he spoke.
"Winter is a rose that blooms so lovely white. Drifting downward in a shower of diamonds as they radiate around the one called Melody. May her heart forever sing like a silver bell as she shines for all the world to witness." He paused noticing a single snowflake drifting toward the ground then another. Shining as soft and pleasant as the beauty that he was standing so close to. "And may her heart stay close to mine as each song she weaves shall be Eternal and full of everything she so desires."
Smiling he watched her once more, his eyes becoming brighter with each breath that he took.

Melody: She chuckled lightly, amused by his immediate response. Her chuckle turned into a sweet smile as she found herself gazing back at him…how hard it suddenly seemed to look away. Those eyes of his held such beautiful things, as did his charming words, so handsome in every way. Really it amazed her...to have found another so stunningly pink and magnificent not a single song could describe.
She listened to his heartfelt words feeling both delighted and content, savouring each word and every sound uttered. She answered him by simply resting her head gently with his, gazing up at the falling snowflakes that seemed to represent much more than winter. “You really are amazing.” She murmured softly with affection.

Cotton could feel it, he'd weaved her into his thoughts, his breath, his every being as his soul flickered this adoration for such a beautiful mare. He wondered if this is how his father felt in the presence of Minty the fair green mare whose mane shined white as fine satin. She was indeed a kind soul that had captured his father's heart willing him to bring all three of his sons in the world.
"Amazing?" he queried with a silly grin, "no a maiden that sings like an angel deserves that title more than I". He smiled sheepishly back at her, his eyes never once leaving where they sat transfixed upon her own like precious gems glinting in fabulous shades and hues. So much more than the rest he could never look at another in that light.
"And" he began with a medium tone within his handsome words, "Once M'Lady has mastered all she wishes to know, all her dreams she dares to grasp, where does her heart long to go and see?" He was curious of her secret wishes and desires, yet he'd rather have her tell him what she truly wanted. Swishing his two toned tail back and forth like a long elegant fan he waited, being both anxious and patient all in the same while. Just hearing her speak was quite worth the wait.

Melody: "You shouldn't be so modest." She said with a soft chuckle. She found herself staring happily at him again and had to shake her head in order to listen, he was amazing.
She listened to his question and thought about her answer quietly for a moment. "Well asides from singing and exploring the lands, singing in particular I will always and forever hold close, there are other things I want and can see..." She smiled, perhaps in even what seemed to be a slightly nervous manner at what she was about to say, not really having ever spoken so forthright before. It was hard for someone who had never loved anything asides from her own music.
"Well the best way to explain what I want and what my heart is longing and sees, is by firstly saying that I always have felt deep down that there was something missing. Something I wanted but what that was I couldn't quite grasp onto or see." She smiled, she spoke both tenderly and honestly. "That feeling changed when I met you. I found out what I had been wanting and missing, it was you. You are unlike anyone I have ever met. I see myself always loving music yes... but I can see myself with you also, heck even a whole family." She blushed lightly when she had finished, wondering if she had been possibly too honest.

His words, simple expressions of affection were nothing compared to what Melody had deemed as her undying wish. He, a lonely charmer was someone that was held deeply within another's heart so beautiful and pure. This made the stallion smile more confident than the stars that shimmered above him on night's where only the cool breeze sung enchanting phrases and of course melodies.
"Then Melody, if that is your wish I will do anything in my power to grant it for you." He stepped in closer, though not to poke her with his shining spiral. His father had fallen for a beautiful lady of the Earthbound, why couldn't he Cotton wondered. If like some of the other unicorns protested, that certain kinds should stay with their own, then he'd rather not find affection and love for another. What his heart told him right now was he loved Melody, everything that en twirls lives together was his guide right then and there. If he was the missing piece, then surely the puzzle was coming together in rich color and completion.
"Melody. Do not scorn me for now I'll say, I love you. Love is such a bold thing to say, but without such grace and beauty my heart would not beat so passionately for the mare whose voice chimes like a bell in my ears. Accept my expression as I will accept yours."
His heart was beating so rapidly for words couldn't compare to the beautiful angel that stood blushing in his sight.

Melody: As he stepped closer she giggled lightly, noticing him being careful not to poke her with his shining horn. She smiled feeling a mixture of both love and contentment. Simply being around him was more glorious than any song she'd ever known.
His answer made her beam and her blush faded slightly. Words indeed could not describe how deeply she felt and how she savoured such words. Words she'd never heard spoken to her before. "I love you. More than anything." She rested her head gently on him, standing contently for ages, though it did not seem that long.
A family of rabbits suddenly passed close by, reminding her more of family. She remembered Cotton speaking fondly of his mother not long ago. "Tell me more about your family." She said gently with interest. She loved listening to him and was also curious about his family, herself not really having any parents around.

((If you ever ponder lifemates luff... poke me. I'm in no hurry though))
Cotton stood proudly allowing her to be as close as she could lying her head against him. Wouldn't his brothers be jealous right now he grinned feeling quite satisfied he'd found his missing lyric in his life Cotton wondered.
"Hmm where shall I begin, "he started with a great breath from his chest, "My father is a wanderer who met my mother one day. He simply fell in love with her colors of the mint that made her who she is; Minty. Mother of course fell in love with such a gallant soul as the great Star Candy....". He now beamed puffing out his chest for a dramatic" yet joyous part of his tale.
"Mother of course gave life to three sons; Mint Candy, Spearmint, and of course myself, " he smiled with a proud gaze for he knew she hung on every word like her own she sang so beautifully, "The real beauty of it all was mom asked someone in the herd of Celendria to help with the three boys. I of course went with this charming mare named Glory. She's almost like a mother to me, but Minty will always be my mother of course." Smiling he looked toward her and smiled, "Now what's your family like? I bet they are lyrical as you are. Please tell me Melody whom my family is that I shall someday meet with open heart and ears."
He moved in closer to nibble on her shoulder gently, his eyes never leaving hers as the pinkness of their coats mingled and exploded in vibrant color.

Melody: She listened to the story intently, enjoying it greatly. She thought his family were most wonderful indeed. The story behind his family was simply magical. "Such a grand tale. They all sound absolutely amazing." She grinned and added. "I'd be pleased to meet them all sometime."
"My family?" She thought for a moment, not looking upset but not really happy either. Sort of neutral. "Well my parents I don't remember all that much now it's been that long since I last saw them. I remember mum was a good cook though." She said with a small chuckle before adding. "They don't live here in these lands you see. I have friends here and my music so it doesn't bother me that much." She nodded, thinking that not all soquili had a direct family around like their parents or siblings. There were other things though such as friends, herdmates, familiars, mates and having your own children.
"Also theres Honaw who is kind of like the annoying little brother, his always tagging along places...Even though he does come across as rather grumpy." She giggled. "I suppose thats because he is a bear."

((ready to get a new one started? That way I can log this one *nods*))
Cotton listened to her never falling off a single note of her voice. If there was one thing he truly loved about her it was simply the lyrical words and sound that floated outward to him like a fluffy cloud. Encircling his ears and happiness with her sweet song as she expressed herself.
"Friends and music go hand in hand my lovely Melody, but fear not for my love is something I'd never scorn or keep from you. You're family may be far away, but now think of it this way... you've got family right here." he whispered leaning toward her ear. He loved seeing her smile and happy, it made him burst with joy and contentment as he admired Melody.
"And Honaw won't have to feel so protective of his big sister now that I am here. We all feel grumpy now and then right? Honaw is just being himself then."
He chuckled lipping at the nape of her neck always breathing in her scent. He really could get used to this and pondered what it might be like having a family. Though that was really the last thing that he wished on his beautiful angel, the thought was dominant in his mind of beautiful pink wonders running around.
