What are those LaQ things? They look interesting surprised

I looked at the display downstairs...they remind me of legos. They're like 3D moldeling things that either come in kits to make something specific (ex. an airplane, house, etc.), or as a mix so you can build your own things. They come in lots of different shapes (like triangles and kind of jointy-things) so you can make more rounded looking things too. It's a little more complicated than legos because it's more than just putting something on top of something else. It's hard to explain because I'm not even really sure what they are. I can't read Japanese well enough. sweatdrop

In the meantime, I've got another question for you guys:

We've moved to the point where we want to advertise the site to various fandom-specific forums, but I don't know how to go about doing that without making us look bad.

I don't want to pretend with the "I just found the website and does anyone know about it?" spiel. It just feels unnatural and rude. I think I'd be annoyed and/or mad if someone did it on my forum (if I had one).

But saying I'm from that website and straight-out advertising still almost seems as bad.

How can I do this without making Japan-toy look bad? crying

Maybe taking the "friendly neighbor" approach?

Just posting and saying something along the lines of "Hi, we're just starting out and would like to introduce ourselves to you." This could work well, especially if you tailor it a little to the site you're posting on. Then thank then for their time and attention.
