The screams made her heart stop she stared, eyes wide. Breath heavy"Draku! Are you alright!"she shouted down and leaned over the edge. Her body tensed as bushes and twigs snapped behind her. Weapon less, and it would be much to late to transform. She breathed in a slow breath and stared back as the bushes almost seemed they would be ripped from the ground.

Draku stared down at the base of the desert. It was close. He managed to save himself ten feet from death. Releasing his weapons, he landed on the desert ground with a soft thud. His heart still beated furiously. After all, he did cheat death. Skimming through the desert behind him, it seemed safe and calm as the whispering winds of the west.
"I'm fine!!" he yelled to Lecta in a jagged voice. "I'm fine.."
His body fell to the grains of sand, on his knees. It was so hard to believe how lucky he was. A tear fell from his cheek. A tear caused by joy and a wierd feeling that bloomed from inside.

"Is it safe for me to climb down!"she shouted and a worried expression appeared on her face"Cause its not going to be safe up here in a few seconds!"she laughed nervously and scratched at the ground. Her had become shacky"If I jump will you catch me!?".

"I'll try!!" he yelled in response. "But I recommend you climb down first! Its impossible to catch someone from onehundred feet!!"
Draku used his eyes and searched for any signs if she had jumped. His ankle was already buried in the fine grains of sand.
"What's going on up there?!"

She slid down the side a couple feet, grabbing onto a rock. She stared down. The little light that escaped her eyes was her only light source. She breathed in a slow breath and chewed on her bottom lip. Staring back up at the green eyes that stared down at her. She breathed nervously as she desended"Tell me when I can jump....".

"Jump!!" he yelled, as he noticed Lecta's shivering voice.
Draku wasnt so sure of this though. Anything could happen. He could save Lecta and crush him self or the other way around.

She turned her body slightly. The cracking bones and joints pf the undead above her rung in her ears. She shivered and jumped. Staring down at his small figures...Small from the high she was at. She closed her eyes. Frustrated growls and gargles escaped the rotting lips of the undead and they continued there decent.

Lecta fell at great speed. Draku didnt know if either one of them would survive the fall or get injured in some way. She seemed like a small dot at first but gradually incresed in size. Lecta was in sight and Draku moved into position, spreading out his legs. Laying out his arms, it seemed like Lecta slowled down at first and surprisingly, fell softly into his arms.

She let out a soft laugh, her arms wrapped around his neck and she looked up at him. Should have jumped the first time if you knew I was this light...Wanna carry me the rest of the way?"she asked and breathed in a slow breath, lightly kicking her legs and smirked"You can put me down now...".

Draku set her down on the soft sand grains of the desert and feet sunk in the desert ground. Silve moonlight shone down on the desert, revealing its calm and barren lands.
"Are you okay?" draku asked.
Pulling out his compass once again, he followed the western direction.

"I'm just fine."a smile slipped across her face and she stared down at his compass"Do you find I am much to light?"she asked and tilted her head to the side and smirked"Its natural for my people, I weigh less then a feather, you could probebly lift me with one fingure..."she ran her fingures thru her hair and stared at the darkness ahead of them.

"So would that mean that your kind is extremely fragile? How does your body manage to handle the food you eat?" demanded Draku eagerly.
It seemed that he had alot to know of this world. The only thing fascinating him were the elves. Their kind proves to be greater than the stories he ever heard.
"You can easily be blown by the wind then. What else does your kind have that humans dont? You know, your race is very intriguing."

"Yes i'm quite fragile, the wind could blow me across this desert in one swing."she laughed softly and scratched the back of her head"As for food, we have the same internal system as humans, so we can handle eating just about anything. Sea food preffered. Heavy foods, such as meat could hurt us if we eat so much of it. Thats why we normaly eat fruits and fish..."staring ahead. It only seemed to get darker with every stride, she shivered as the frustrated gurgles rung thru the air. They had given up after her jump"We live off the worlds geological power, without it I wouldnt be here...When the earth itself dies. We die.".

"When the earth dies, we all die." added Draku. "Anyway, lets keep heading west or find an encampment. I'm tired."
Draku continued heading west until he came upon a hill. Over looking the desert plains, it was like tan colored snow as the desert stretched itself to the horizon. Moonlight reflected itslef upon the ruins of forgotten cities. Cities that have died long ago, only their destroyed structure remain. Some of the fallen buildings shone like diamond, others hiding themselves in the darkness of the night.
"Perhaps we could find camp in there. It may be barren but it will do."

"When the earth dies, you remain. Till you starve to death, us. Werre instant."a weak laugh escaped her lips and she stared down towards the barren landscape and ruins. She breathed in a slow breath and shook her head"Guess we should stay there, its the only cover we have, I dont whant to know what kind of vile people roam the deserts....".
