KumikoxChan I know what you mean, like you're just hoping your favourite couple get together. I wouldn't know what to do if I found out my favourite couple never got together. i know, now they have another girl character on sasuke's team named Karin (or whatever >.>;; )

Yeah, there's a Karin thread already, but I'll say this anyway:
Kishimoto can't just go and pair Sasuke up with a random new girl, and leave Sakura totally out of the picture.
My guess he's so tolerant with her is because she reminds him of a certain pink-haired teammate of his. x3

Why did that make you nervous? Here's the last part of the interview:
All I have to do is just head toward the ending I have, but there are still so many things that need to be resolved before reaching that point. Maybe I have thrown in too many ideas, so I need to wrap them up neatly.
There is still much to resolve before reaching the end. wink

~chibi kagome62~ I personally think Kishi has had the basic storyline of NARUTO in his mind since the very first chapters. I mean, all the hints in the splash pages; Sasuke holding a katana with a snake coiled around him, Sasuke with a flute, the various pictures of the slug-snake-toad trio. So this isn't a big surprise to me.
What worries me though, is that NARUTO may be coming to an end soon. I think Kishi has rushed the latest chapters, ie. Oro's death, and at Jump Festa 2007, in response to the discussion about One Piece being a long manga and the end of NARUTO, Kishi stated "Hmmm, NARUTO isn't really a long story", which was followed by a chorus of groans by the crowd. I would personally like NARUTO to continue, but it may not be as long as we all expect. Shoot...!! I feel the same way as well...like Kishi is rushing on the manga. And before we know it Sasuke might be fighting Itachi next *looks left and right* It ought to end one day, but hopefully not soon. I seriously think I won't find another anime/manga as good as Naruto.

I wouldn't worry either. Of course, that's because I think it should be NaruSaku
Kishimoto may be tricky, but if he has something planned, it kind of makes sense to me it'd be NaruSaku. :/

I don't understand why some SasuSaku/NaruHina fans don't get why it's NaruSaku. 0o
It makes plenty o' sense. I mean...It's kind of obvious (at least, I think so), that Naruto is very much in love with Sakura. Naruto=Main character. It'd seem just so messed up to see him give up on Sakura after all these years.
NOW, you're thinking: SO SAKURA CAN GIVE UP ON SASUKE BY NARUTO CAN'T GIVE UP ON SAKURA!? THAT'S s**t! scream
Well, Sasuke DID betray Sakura. He hurt her in the worst possible way. Sakura did nothing to hurt Naruto, besides love Sasuke, and he was able to accept that, and he understood it. Same goes for Hinata.
Naruto did not betray her like Sasuke did. And she has never stated she loved him in the first place. I think that her strong admiration is just that, and that she, along with the fans, have mistaken it for 'love'.
I will not state that Naruto actually 'loves' Sakura romantically. But it seems so dang obvious, I want to say it. But there's really no 'absolute proof', besides what he does for her, and what he did for her.
I just wouldn't be looking forward to SasuSaku at the moment. Not until Sasuke is safe and sound in Konoha, Naruto says something along the lines of him NOT wanting Sakura to be happy with him, and Sakura saying she still loves Sasuke.
For some reason, all of the above statements seem to baffle me. >>

You know. I sorta don't mind right now. Though I would love to see some SasuSaku moments and less of SasuKarin >.>
I just want another Team 7 reunion and Sasuke to come home. Then I'll start too.

Oookay. I'm going to let this ALL out. Beware, this post has strong feeling in it, and it MIGHT seem a bit harsh.
First things first: NOBODY, and I mean N-O-B-O-D-Y knows what's going to happen in the series except for Kishimoto. It's not obvious that ANY pairing is going to be canon, and as of now, no pairing "IS" going to be canon.
Second, in my humble opinion, SasuSaku has JUST AS MUCH chance of happening as NaruSaku. Why?
- SasuSaku has developement, too. It's EVERYWHERE in Part 1. It's also based on ROMANTIC ASPECTS. [Ex: Opening Up, Hug, LOVE CONFESSION]. Whereas I believe NaruSaku si based on more friendship. [Ex: Doing favors, making Promises (of a Lifetime! <3), and asking for help/recieving for help]
- In Part 2, Sasuke is not there. That does not deem SasuSaku impossible at ALL. Sasuke can't die, unless Kishi plans to throw out more than half of the entire series' development. If Sasuke dies, Naruto and Sakura's promise will mean NOTHING, and everything left unresolved will be wasted space. This includes Ch. 181, VotE, and the last reunion. The main goal of Naruto and Sakura as of right now is to have Sasuke back home. So if Sasuke isn't back in Konoha by the end of the series....I don't even see the point of putting him in the manga in the first place.
- Don't DARE forget about Hinata. Sure, Naruto has a crush on Sakura. (which I think is ALL it is, because he'd do for Sasuke what he would for Sakura....minus the dates. Meanwhile, Sakura had offered Sasuke much, MUCH more than she ever had Naruto in Part 1, and as far as Part 2 is concerned, we don't know her feelings, and so far she's been denying all dates but one...and even then it seemed more like, "Good, I'm broke. Pay for me.") But he DOES like Hinata as a person, and I think to put so much focus into Hinata's huge crush and admiration for Naruto for no good reason is ridiculous. Plus, we have yet to see Team 8 in part 2, so who KNOWS what kind of development we'll get there.
I mean, Sasuke hurt Sakura, yes, but I'm sure Sakura still has some kind of understanding. I mean....SHE OFFERED TO GO WITH HIM. If Sasuke were more lienient, Naruto would be trying to get them BOTH back. (Though if Sasuke weren't so strict on himself, he'd have never left.) So if Sakura doesn't understand that herself, that's her problem. Sasuke has a reason to leave, and if they're trying so hard to get him back, they're going to forgive him.
Meh. I've made enough points. XD Renew your FAITH! SasuSaku still has a pretty damn good chance! And even though NaruSaku SEEMS like it's going to happen, doesn't mean it will.
I'm sorry, but it seems that some of you are having heart attacks over this. o-o; Don't be so extreme. It can go both ways as of now.

^Great post, and I completely agree! I didn't seem harsh to me at all. 3nodding
I think people need to be patient and see what happens next. Sasuke and Sakura have not interacted at all in part two, but that doesn't mean the pairing is doomed.
