I watched, through blurry tears, lecta, leaning over his body. This wasn't the end though...but it felt like it. Virtually every muscle in my body had relaxed, for they felt no reason to be excited about anything...except for one. Why was i crying? didn't i know? wasn't it I who foresaw this end...wasn't I who foresaw his beginning...

Hours had passed. The cool morning had blessed Telnar, with a cool, spring dew, almost as if the earth wept for us also. niether of us had moved...and worse, none of us had moved. Draku wasn't coming back to us...not like this. ''Lecta...", i said softly,"we need to leave soon...." was all i could say. I knew that niether of us would, but it had to be brought to attention..I didn't know what happened to Serobi, or Kalupaan, or Iavas....but it didn't matter. nothing mattered anymore... it seemed.

"N-no! Not yet!"she begged, gripping the limp body in her arms, she stared plainly at his face. Wipping her tears, her eyes werre slightly drooped"I-I felt him, b-before we found his body...He was there..."she breathed, stared back up at Eleyym"P-please, can we...find a way to b-burry him a-atleast?"she asked, running her fingures thru Draku's hair. Her body felt weak, she didnt want to do anything but lay there"I-I feel so weak..."she breathed and stared up at him"I-I dont want to get up...I wanna stay here...".

"i know.....me too. Yes we will bury him", and with that, i forced myself to stand up, and start digging...it was a long, and dirtying process, but i didn't feel tired, or muddy. I hardly felt at all. Eventually i figured out that i could use a large stick to help dig, but it was still slow.
Not to long later a hole, large enough to fit draku inside, was sitting in the dirt beside us. Lecta hadn't moved the entire time, and i was covered in mud, and dirt, and leave, and twigs...I was a mess. "Now, lecta....i'll get him into the hole...I want you to sing...sing for him", i wasn't sure what she'd do....But nonetheless, i started stumbling towards draku's body....

"I-I dont k-know any songs..."she stuttered, gripping the body harder as Eleyym stepped closer. Rage momentarity built up inside of her"S-stay away!"she screeched. Struggling to pull the body away from him, she stared to cry again. Laying over the limb corpse, a hand was placed to the side of his face, his corpse was already starting to decay, it smelt horrible. But, she felt little. Lecta felt hollow, empty. Like a part of her was missing"W-what will I do Eleyym...I, wont ever find him...Elves dont go werre humans do after death...".

I was surprised by her sudden outburst, but couldn't blame her..."It doesn't matter Lecta...", i said. I felt as if everything inside of me had been ripped out, and thrown into a black abyss...."But i've seen him lecta...i had a dream awhile ago....Draku has died now yes...but his purpose has not yet been fulfilled", i tried to say it with meaning, and encouragement, but i failed miserably...it sounded like a fairytale, but i continued anyways, "We will find him lecta. Nature will bring him back, and we'll find him. I can still track him with my stars remember? but as long as he lays here, unburied, and unclean, he will remain here. unburied, and unclean...." i told her. It was the truth. Nature would never accept his body unless it was properly buried as soon as possible...I didn't want to let him go. I never knew him personally. In fact we'd just met only two days ago...But he was part of me still, and that part of me seemed to die with him...Soon, though, that part would come back to life...as soon as his body was under the earth...."please lecta...?"

Staring up at him with wide eyes. She noded slowly"O-ok.."she whispered, pressing her silky lips against Draku's corpse and smiled weakly"W-will we realy find him?"she asked and stared up at Eleyym. Lecta rose to her feet, slidding her arms beneath Draku's and struggled to drag him into his grave"I-I fear t-that I will forget w-what he looks like..."she weezed, gripping the sleeves of her dress violently, they ripped into small holes"I..dont want to forget, he was the first p-person I had ever met leaving Meldonar for the first time...".

"You won't ever forget lecta...How could you?", but nonetheless, i placed my hand on her head, and did something i've never done before...I gave her a picture of Draku. a perfect picture of him, happy, and free. She smiled at this...but i felt as though i'd lost something. Instantly the picture i'd sent her was gone from my mind...It was hers now...sacred.
I started carrying Draku's body to the hole...and layed him down ever-so gently... It was time to say goodbye to this draku...and soon enough, hello to the next one...

A smile finaly appeared on her face, she laughed lightly and closed her eyes. Breathing in a slow breath, her tence shoulders had relaxed. She reopened them with blurry eyes"I-I wont...E-ever..."she stuttered and shakily rose to her feet, the wrapped her arms around Eleyym"T-thank y-ou for t-the picture...".

I held her close. She was the only comfort right now..."any time" i said...i didn't know what else to say. There was nothing. Draku lay still, unburied. But i didn't want to do it...niether of us did. Why should we? wouldn't nature do it for us?.....no. What would that mean to draku? It had to be done. I walked over and started rolling the dirt back over his body, saving his head for last...It took time, but mostly it took loyal effort....
"Goodbye draku. I'll see you yet again my brother..." I told him silently. I waited for lecta to say what she wanted.....

She sat by the unburried part of Draku's grave. Staring down at his pale face, his lips werre now blue. She choked and placed a hand to her throat"I-I'm sorry I d-didnt tell y-you h-how I realy f-felt before i-it was to late..."she wimpered, leaning forward and kissed his cold lips"I love y-you..."she squeeked and looked away, breaking down into tears. She ran a hand along the side of his face and stared up at Eleyym"G-go ahead...".

I bent down beside his body, and covered his face with dirt. It was a dreadful, but somehow releasing act. Draku was buried now. I herd Lecta's words, and wasn't surprised. I'd predicted it hadn't i? I was glad she got to tell him though. I didn't know if draku's spirit was still lingering, but he'd know...He'd know and be drawn to her, like flies to honey.
The burial was somehow not complete...I called my most favoured star, Teldyym, and layed it down on his grave. I knew it wasn't spectacular, but it wsa all i could give. I dug a small hole under the old, bright star, and planted it there. I believed that with the right intentions, it would grow into a lighted flowering tree, someday thousands of years from now. People would come from every corner of the earth to see Eleyym's Shining tree. Or maybe it should be called Draku's Glittering grave...I told my star to stay there, and live, for my sake, and left nature to do her bidding. "Anything else lecta?" i asked before making it final that we had to leave...

"Y-yeah...One thing I want to do..."she whispered, staring at the lump of dirt. She placed her hands to it and closed her eyes. Breathing in a slow shacky breath. Her hands glowed a gentle blue as the dirt surrounding his corpse slowly became crystalized. Her eyes opened into slits and a weak smile spread across her face, she was able to see his face now"N-now...his tomb, is a diamond..."she whispered and slid her hands along the smooth stone. Laying her head down over the crystal clear diamond, Lecta closed her eyes and chewed on her bottom lip"I..love you..."she whispered and forced herself to smile.

It was magnificent. The sparkling tomb, and the glowing star. Someday this would be a pinnacle to all society. A mark of Draku, Lecta, and Eleyym..
There were huge towers built. A gorgeous castle sitting on the hill of a great plain. Elves, humans, and all other species roamed the wide streets. In the inner courtyard, inside the castle itself, was a Tree. On that tree were white, glowing flowers. The leaves were made of glass. The ground underneath it was ice-like. Under the ice was a body.....
This was the future.
"Lecta, we must go now. He will be waiting for us soon..." i told her urgently. It was true. Nature may very well have already chosen a spot for him to reappear. I didn't know what race he would be, or even where he'd reappear. I didn't even know if he'd remember us. But we had to find him as soon as possible, for the longer we waited, the longer it'd take for us to find him....
