"Ah. I'm still in school. I wish I wasn't. I hate that dreadful place. I'd rather just stay by myself and do something different. Maybe I'd read," she said and looked up to see him not smiling anymore. "Is something wrong?" she stopped and asked.

Raphael stopped and gently took her writs and pulled back her sleeve.
"Cuts and slashes are no way to solve problems." he said softly as he placed a gentle kiss to the inside of her wrist.

She could feel her eyes well up. "I-it's a bad habit. I-I've tried to stop, but, but..." tears started to run down her face gently. She couldn't bawl. She never has been able to. Just tears.

Raphael pulled her close.
"Hush My luv. There is no need to cry my pet." Raphael said as he wiped away the tears.

"Y-you don't even want to know what I've been through. I-I just can't take it. I don't w-want him to touch me," she said as she wept into his shoulder. She started to cry more.

"The man I'm supposed t-to call my f-father," she stammered. She wrapped her arms around this stranger that she's known forever.

Raphael feezed.
"What father would do that to his child?" He demanded as he pushed her back slightly and looked at her.
"You are not going back there. You are coming with me!" He said as he swooped her up bridal style and started the trek in the opposite direction to his house.

"T-thank you," she whispered in his ear. All she could think of was her life and how it was whirling around. She also thought about Raphael. How could someone be so nice?

She gazed into his eyes with an innocent, pathetic puppy look that said, "You do so much it's too hard to put into words." She then got closer to his face.

Raphael looked at her and smirked slightly.
"we are almost there luv. Do you see that Farmhouse? It's mine" he told her softly.

She turned around, and saw how beautiful it looked. "It looks wonderful," she commented and smiled slightly.

"Wait till you see the inside" He said softly as he gently sat her down infront of the door and unlocked it. The door swung open giving her a perfect veiw of the front hallwayand the main stairway.
"Come inside, my pet." He urged.

She was in awe. The place looked wonderful. "This is quite a house," she said to him. She dropped her bookcase in the front hall. "Where should I hang my jacket? Or actually, could I use your shower?" she asked him politely. "I smell like mud and rain," she said, not liking the smell of her musty jacket.
