quote "Victum Soul: Yes, they are one of the greatest metal bands ever from Spain. In fact, I can dare and call them the most important one.
Errr... i'm afraid i disagree... It's one of the BEST KNOWN metal bands ever from Spain, especially because they are party-oriented and they target young people... Anyway, metal in Spain is far far away from the mainstream (being metal an undergorund genre per se) and these guys are actually on the media, so... Well, I don't mean to say they are crap at all, although that could be my personal opinion... But that's just a subjective idea of mine, so sweatdrop Alas, they are NOT, i repeat, NOT, the greatest metal band ever from Spain =) That's for sure.
Try Avulsed, Xerion, Numen, Brutal Thin, Orujo de Brujas, Machetazo, Cryfemal, Dying Christ, Soziedad Alkoholika... They are not between the most popular bands, but hey... who says popular=quality? domokun

Bryan el buki one of my favs is "La leyenda del Hada i El Mago" and "El beso de la Bruja" these songs are not played by Mago de Oz. The band that plays them is Rata Blanca, from Argentina.

They are not between the most popular bands, but hey... who says popular=quality? domokun First of, ''Mr Discussion'': 1. I never said they were the greatest band from Spain, I said they were ONE of the greatest. See the difference? 2. When You find someone that plays the violin like Mohamed, the guitar like Jorge, and a singer that hits over an F in the third octave, then discuss the fact that Mago de Oz is GREAT. And how you dare to say ''they are NOT, i repeat, NOT, the greatest metal band ever from Spain =) That's for sure.''?? who are you?? who gave you the right and power to say something like that. You might have a different opinion, but dont say it like it is the absolute truth. And the bands you mention... couldn't it be that you prefer harder stuff?? Again, your opinion doesn't define quality.

New album.
La Ciudad de Los Arboles (the city of the trees)
Every lost soul goes there and lives inside a tree. At night they all moan and cry.
They are back to what they were doing in their first albums (Jesus de Chamberi and La leyenda de la mancha). My favorite songs are ''la ciudad de los arboles'' with and epic, bold sound and the exact amount of folk to make it perfectly enjoyable. ''Mi nombre es rock & roll (My name is rock n' roll)'' That sounds like a mix of hard rock and heavy metal, with a taste of country ( ? ) Definitely and hymn to all motorcycle tripping lovers. "Runa Llena (full rune)" this song is instrumental and sounds great imo. ''No queda sino batirnos (there's nothing left but fight)'' This song has amazing lyrics, full of wisdom and battle spirit, thats what I liked the most from the song.
RESACOSIX EN LA BARRA. Is an adaptation of “39” by Queen.
And they included a ''ranchero'' song, the name is ''Y Ahora Voy a Salir (And now I'm going out)'' (ranchero is a mexican folk genre, almost always speak of lost loves, getting drunk and forgetting about ex-girlfriends) which is fully party-oriented, the song is not bad at all, but some people may dislike it and judge the band. I think they recorded it while getting high on coke and MJ. I kinda liked it.
I liked the album, but still, my favorite is still Folktergeist.

I only have a few songs by them on my computer and they're from a live show. But nevertheless, they're pretty awesome. :3
I like the songs La dansa del fuego, Dame tu amor and La rosa de los vientos.
Pardon my spelling.
