He nodded and smiled warmly at his mate, she would be a great mother, and a great watcher of cubs of all species.

"I can do anything you ask of me," he smiled, "I am an efficient hunter, a bit slower to catch, and it takes me time to drag a kill in. But I can do it all the same, like anyone else. My limp does not hold me back...much," he added the last half hastily. "I will do what is asked of me."

He shifted his weight uncomfortably, and started to feel real concern for his lovely pink mate, if he was tired and uncomfortable, he could only imagine how she was fairing. They'd reached their destination, and he was almost inclined to passing out right where he stood.

Kari was in a poor situation considering her state. She could not help but be anxious, and she felt that was not what was best for the cubs. She was pleased to hear the King suggest a job for her instead of commenting on her inability to hunt. The suggestion itself seemed a great one, for she felt that the youth of a pride were very important. Not to mention it was something she hoped she could do, and expected would go better than hunting.

"N-nanny would be wonderful," she replied, smiling at Tamu, and then at Hasidi. The small cheetah inched a bit closer and leaned on her mate, just as ready as him to take a nice, long break. They were lucky to have found the King so quick, it would spare them the trouble of going on longer without rest- for it was certainly best to make yourself known in strange lands sooner than later. And someone like Kari wouldn't go long unnoticed, being a brightly colored pregnant cheetah.

Tamu looked to the other lion when he mentioned that he was a decent enough hunter. He fleetingly remembered the other's leg, and the way he had seen him limp slightly, but he didn't think much on this. He believed that if Hasidi wanted to try his luck in hunting, then the king would allow him to do so. There was no reason to hold back.

Nodding, he spoke in response, "Alright, you can be a hunter then. The pride has already caught something for today, I believe, so you can start another day." He put in this last to subtly show the other that he would be allowed a rest before he was put to work.

"And if it doesn't work out, just come to me and we can find something else for you to do," he added, no real expression in his words. He didn't want either of them thinking he had any sort of doubt. Merely, he was putting out options for them so that they didn't feel trapped or pressured into one particular job.

Turning his attention towards the cheetah, he nodded his head again. "Nanny it is then. And, as I've mentioned before, if you feel you wish to do something else, come to me and we will see to it you are made happy in your role in the pride." If lions could purr, he would have been. It just made him happy to be able to welcome in new members and to see to it that they were made as happy and as comfortable as possible.

Feeling all of the most urgent points had been covered, Tamu dipped his head. "Now that we've stood around long enough," he chuckled, "perhaps you would like to get a rest further within the pride?"

He would take them deeper into the Kusini lands if they wished, or, if they perferred, he could point them in the right direction and go back to his duties while they settled themselves in. Whatever they wanted to do, he would respect their wishes.

Hasidi nodded to the king but rudely kept his eyes on Kari, he wanted to get her comfortable.

"I do not mean to be rude, but yes, we would like to rest quite a bit, it has been a long journey, and I fear for the well being of my lovely mate, and my unborn children. If you could..would you mind if we found a place to stay for a few days before starting our new jobs?" He was fearful for the due date of their little ones, he counted in his mind not sure when they had exaclty concieved, or how long gestation would take in a cheetah pregnant with lion spawn.

"Our jobs will be perfect," he added lookig to the king now, "I thank you from the bottom of my heart and soul."

Kari beamed over at her mate, who was being much more outgoing than usual- and all out of concern for her and their cubs. She was tired, but felt she was not causing any harm to the cubs- at least, she hoped not. She'd never experienced anything like this before. The idea of getting rest, and perhaps getting to look around a bit, before taking on their duties sounded nice to her. She would not make much a playmate or guardian to cubs in the tired and pregnant state she was.

"Yes, thank you," she repeated, looking over at Tamu gratefully, "Thank you so very much.." It all meant a great deal to her, everything that was going on and everything that had just happened.

Tamu smiled at the couple, and also nearly blushed. They were thanking him so profoundly and from the bottom of their hearts when he didn't think he really deserved such gratitude. It was his duty as king to welcome in newcomers, so he felt that he was simply doing his job. Besides, they deserved to have a home more than anything else, especially for their new family.

But, he did not argue. Besides, it felt good to be thanked that way every once in a while.

Dipping his head, he smiled again at them. "It is no problem, really. The pride will be lucky to have you two among them, and to have those that come after you," he added, meaning their cubs.

All formal business taken care of, he thought, it was time to move on to other things. "Since we have figured out your tasks within the pride, shall we move on to where you will be resting?" He felt that didn't come out quite the way he wanted, so he attempted to rephrase himself.

"That is, where would you wish to rest for now, assuming it is rest you want. I can take you some place, or to someone in particular, or I can point you in a direction and you can travel just the two of you to where ever you wish within the lands. Whatever you wish is completely fine," he said, nodding. Then, feeling that that came out slightly better, he settled himself and waited for an answer.

"Your Highness, I do not mean this rudely, but I know this land like I know every inch of my body, intimatly," he winked and blushed hoping that he would not offend Tamu, "If it is alright with my mate we will find a place not inhabited at the moment and spend some time resting." He smiled awkwardly...he really did know the lands, he had wandered them aimlessly for quite some time, hopefully he could find a place that was secluded where he could snore all he wanted.

"Do you want that?" he added to his mate quietly.

"I trust you'll find the perfect place," she answered Hasidi with a small smile, feeling that her mate had managed to say everything that needed to be said. If Tamu agreed, she saw no reason to let him find them a place. Besides, she'd feel the same way if they were trying to take up residence in the coalition lands.

Tamu dipped his head, both to show respect and also to show that he understood. "Very well," he spoke kindly. "And you are not being rude. I understand completely," he said, with a smile that backed up his words. Tamu never felt anger (aside from that which he had felt for his Voice and also for his brother Denahi) and it was hard to offend him.

"Go ahead on through," he nodded his head and stepped aside. "If anyone questions you, tell them that I have allowed you through and that if they want to take it up with someone, to take it up with me. But I don't think you'll be questioned." A pregnant cheetah and a lion that had once lived in this very pride, he knew it wouldn't cause them any trouble.

"Rest well, and I hope to see you both very soon."

"We hope to see you as well, and possibly out little ones will meet a great lion," he bowed respectfully. He was tired but there was a very large hint of excitment in the back of his mind. He was home, not wandering in search of home, he had a family, no need to find someone who had been gone for ages, he was home.

"Kari," he turned to his eyes to her, "Shall we continue?"

Kari nodded to show her agreement with the words Hasidi spoke, but instead of sharing his excitement she was a bit anxious, and mostly she was eager to go and rest. She glanced to Hasidi and nodded, ready to go wherever he chose to take them.
