congrats. I am a huge fan of wedding planning myself, it used to be my job, and I had two weddings (with my same husband). Your wedding sounds beautiful so far.

wow! what a cool job you had!
well a little more news, we have had some lovely friends of my family offer to help us out biggrin i am so pleased!!
* My mum is a chef, and plans to cater the reception with her fellow chef buddys.
* My mums best friend is a dessert chef and makes wedding cakes as a hobby/weekend type job and is going to make mine for free!!!
* My old school friends dad works for a car company and is sorting me out with a white convertable beetle and he will chauufer it!
* My best friends boyfriends mother is a florist and will do me cheaper flowers
I am so pleased with the great news I have been receiving about the wedding heart

Jools lunashock and congrats to you on the wedding date! What's it going to be like? dont get me started on wedding stuff, you will never hear the end of it! We are getting married in a hotel with these big gardens perfect for the photos....because his family will be travelling a long way (from america) so they can stay there 3nodding and my family come from other parts of the country so it makes things easier. Plus we aren't religious so a church wedding would seem kinda hypocritical to me.... colour scheme will be cream and deep red. I am having deep red crystals embroidered into the corset of my dress and the bridesmaids will be in deep red, the waistcoats on the guys will be cream and the ties are deep red ^.^ I cant wait to show u all pics! heart sounds soo beautiful, gosh, i can't wait till i get married smile I already have my promise ring/engagement ring smile and i'm willing to wait forever to be married to my love Andrew smile It's amazing how things work out..I wish you & Jeff the best of luck, i'm glad you two are happy together, he is a wonderful guy smile You best treat 'em good..haha.. I wish you two luck & u better show me pics smile

http://www.maggiesottero.com/catalog/window.php?7not sure if this link will work, but this is my favorite wedding gown designer (Maggie Sottero) and I saw this dress, it's called Vincenza, and it has red on it. From looking at your picture this style looks like it would be really flattering on you, the corset on this gowns is fantastic for showing off your curves. Like I said before I used to do this for a living, and I just couldn't help myself. xd Hope you don't mind.

Promise rings? I've only heard them called engagment rings. From what I understand, promise rings are saying you're going to be together (very popular in high school) and engagement rings are to be married. I was told there was a difference, but it all sounds the same to me. xd I'm so excited for you!
Angiemademe, you say you used to do that? Do you have experience with smaller ceremonies without spending a huge amount? I'm curious what to do for mine.

Jools I didnt realise engagement rings were called promise rings in the States whee
I have a promise ring (which I now wear on my right ring finger), as well as the engagement/wedding set. My wedding/engagement ring set I chose because the the two interlock and become one (I like the symbolism-- and thus did not have them sautered). Thank you so much Angie, thats so sweet of you! I love that dress, it really reminds me of one of the gowns i am trying to decide between!! obviously, it is different but it has that beautiful intricate embroidery on it! I am just trying to dig out a photo for you ^.^ And thanks to jenannen for telling me about promise rings, I had no idea these things existed before I met jeff hehe! its so funny how things are done in different places whee well im going to post a few pics now, to show u the hotel and the outfit jeff is wearing, and the cake i want etc!! Okie, here is jeff....  Here is the cake i want - total disney freak, i am obsessed with the little mermaid but this is as close to it as mum will let me go haha  our engagement rings  And the dresses i cant decide between....i only have pics of me in one of them, sorry!     What do u guys think? I am so confused haha im lucky its only 2 dresses really, both look lovely on.....

I love the celtic knots on his ring. I love celtic knots period. Your ring is nice too; I love the tear-drop shaped diamonds. Is that just the engagement, so that you're going to have a wedding band with it? Or is that the engagement and wedding ring (that seems to be becoming more and more common).
I love the red on this dress, and if you're going for a non-traditional wedding this would be my vote. I also like the embrodery on the corsert of the other dress (for some reason not all of the pictures showed up in your thread, and I had to open another screen and copy the URLs... i'm just saying that incase anyone else is having problems. *shrugs*)
This is so exciting though. *squeals excitedly*

awww thanks ^.^ there is something special about that red dress, i think its beautiful.
My engagement ring wont act as a wedding ring, i want the wedding ring also and eventually an eternity ring.
I adore my ring, jeff made a lovel decision...its white gold with 3 marquise cut diamonds and baguette cut diamonds on each shoulder. Completely beautiful and I had never seen anything like it.
Thank you cheshire heart he is an angel ^.^
Angie-----i happen to think he looks dashing all the time but yes the morning suit looks lovely on him heart

once again i congratulate you smile I'm probably not going to get married until my schooling is done or wait until i'm 18 & old enough to be married legally b/c his military ppl will have a flip if he marries me now 'cause i'm underage & he's 18. oh-well...i've been looking at dresses..
