"D-do you want to g-get out?" Ayame asked, almost hopefully. She watched as Daisuke and Kurri sprawled themselves out of the rock, Daisuke smiling like a small child with candy. She could almost hear the two purring contently, and Ayame's eyes were frantic. She almost wanted Daisuke to get wet. She swam over quietly, knowing that Daisuek wasn't paying attention. She lifted her hands, counted down to one from three in her head, and she splashed water at Daisuke.

"AIII-IIEEE!" Daisuke cried, leaping up from his laying position. He was soaked, head to toe, and this made Daisuke angry. His soggy ears and tail drooped down, and he shivered. THAT was some cold water. "Ayamee!!" He whined, his sapphire-blue eyes giving her a stern glare. All he got in responce was her girlish giggle, and he fell back to the ground. that's Ayame for 'ya.

Kisa nodded her head, but guessed Ayame couldn't see because she had already started towards Daisuke. She trailed slowly after her, knowing she should probably warn him, but not really wanting to. Kurri would get caught in the fray, because he was so close to the male, but she couldn't bring herself to ruin Ayame's fun.

When the water splashed over Daisuke, Kurri leapt to his feet like he'd just been shocked. In a second, he'd bolted up a nearby rock, then scrambled up to another, even taller one. He sat down up there, glaring down angrily as water dripped off his nose.

Kisa sent him an apologetic look, only to have him turn his back to her. She knew he'd get over it though and slowly made her way to shore, hugging herself tightly. She walked to an unoccupied rock, and jumped nimbly on top of it, sitting with her legs hugged to her chest. So cold...

"Gah! I hate being wet! I hate the beach! I wanna leave!" Daisuke shouted angrily, pacing in circles. He walked ove to the rock Kurri sat, and he sat in the white sand, pouting. His legs moved up and down, making him rock a little, and he bit his cheeks. He then thought about Ayame's response and smacked himself in the fore-head. "Nice one, stupid." He told himself out loud. He tugged at his wet ears.

Ayame blinked, and sat down on the rock with Kisa. She wrapped herself in a warm, dry towel, and she yawned. Cold water made her tired, and hot-water made her even drowsier. "Do you want a towel?" Ayame asked, handing Kisa hers. Ayame was already using Daisuke's, since he failed to pick it up before he went to pout by the rock.

Kurri turned around again, so he was facing everyone, but only looked towards Daisuke. He peered down at him, then retreated to the far side of the rock to shake himself off, so he wouldn't spatter anyone with the water that flew off in all directions. Once done, he sat down towards the middle of the rock, and began licking his fur, trying to make it lay back down from where it was sticking up.

Kisa hesitated, casting Daisuke a look, and then smiled at Ayame. "Yes, thank you," she said and carefully accepted the towel. She dabbed off her face, then wrapped it around her shoulders, placing her long hair on top of the towel rather than under it and against her skin. It was much too cold to do that. "Maybe we should.. try again in the summer," she suggested with a small laugh.

Ayame laughed, nodding at Kisa. Yes, it was much more logical to go swimming in the summer, when the water was warmer. "Even though the water was freezing, and Daisuke and Kurri turned against us, it was still fun!" Ayame chirped merrily, looking up at Kisa happily.

Daisuke sighed, falling backwards into the sand. "Getting wet is NOT fun." He complained to Kurri, "I can't stay mad at Ayame forever, though... and you can't stay mad at Kisa." He added solemnly, his sapphire eyes looking up at Kurri.

Kisa nodded her head, stretching out a little so the sun would hit more of her, and maybe help her dry more quickly. "Yes, it was," she agreed, smiling at Ayame, then glancing towards Daisuke and Kurri. She just smiled though, and soon returned her gaze to the rock she was sitting on, staring at the edge of it where her legs were hanging over.

Kurri paused from cleaning himself, then peered over the edge down at Daisuke. "...I know," he said. "I've tried, but she always makes me feel too guilty." That said, he collapsed onto his side, letting the sun dry him fully.

Ayame smiled, looking back at Daisuke and Kurri when Kisa did. She then looked out to the water, her view reaching far, far away. She pulled her knees to her chest, her chin resting on her knees. A grin remained on her face, her silver eyes softening. "I wish these days could last forever..." She said quietly. She let out a sigh, looking at her wrist, where a small band-aid stuck. She and Daisuke had tooken their shots yesterday, so they would no longer age like they once did. However, there was greater risk for Daisuke. He still had that... thing that had complete possession over his body. Everything Daisuke did was carefully monitered by Amon.
However, she decided not to dwell on it. She looked at Kisa, blinking, and then cocking her head to her right. "I always thought you were really pretty, Kisa-chan." She said finally said. She wondered if Daisuke was alright...

Daisuke yawned, still looking up at Kurri, even though he wasn't in vision. He too looked at his band-aid on his wrist. The thought of Amon frightened him a little, but he had learned to control himself a little better. But not much... not much... He sighed, his vision turning back to the sky. "Hey, Kurri... remember the demon we encountered at the mall and arena at Ria..?" he asked quietly, his deep blue eyes filled with worry.

Kisa continued gazing at the rock, her expression blank as her green eyes went out of focus, and then faded into grey. She wasn't really thinking of anything at the moment. She'd learned to just let her mind go blank at times, rather than risk recalling something she'd rather not. There were several things she'd rather not think about. Her past, why Ria had seemed so familiar, why she felt an almost unnatural loneliness...

But for now, she thought of nothing at all, and only broke from the daze at the sound of Ayame's voice. She blinked a couple times to clear her vision, then stared at the girl for a moment. Her eyes shifted green once more, and she looked a little surprise. "Ah, really?" she asked, casting a quick glance at herself, her cheeks just the faintest pink. "Th.. thank you..." She wasn't really sure how to respond to that.

Kurri blinked, then slowly made his way back to the ledge of the rock. He laid down on his stomach, front paws over the edge, and his head positioned so he could look down at Daisuke. He was silent for a moment, having caught the obvious look in the boy's eyes. Then he let out a small kitty sigh, and nodded his head. "Of course I do," he replied quietly. "He's still around?"

"Unfortunately," Daisuke sighed, sitting back up. He scratched his head, then shaking it to get the sand out of the back of his head. "However... I've been able to control him better. I'm not totally mindless when he comes out..." He added on a positive note, but he smirked. How stupid he felt, not being able to control the demon who used him as a host. It was Daisuke's body. He should be able to control his body, right? Pathetic. He sighed, closing his eyes as he thought. "Kurri... I'm going someplace private. Kay?" Daisuke told the cat, and he stood up. He grabbed his bags, and he headed off the beach. "It's time I learned to control this..." Daisuke told himself.

Ayame nodded, just smiling. "No problem." Ayame responded, not really knowing what to say. "Daisuke... I worry for him. Amon... is still around." Ayame mumbled sadly, giving a sigh. Not the happiest thing that ever happened to her, dwelling back on some not-so-fond memories of Daisuke and his struggle with Amon. It scared her, for the demon had grasp of her once... at the mall back at Ria. She could have been easily crushed in the hands of the demon, and she still could be. As she and Daisuke grew older and bigger, so did Amon. She hadn't seen it in a long time, not since Daisuke was twelve, but the demon was increasingly larger. "He has difficulty controlling it..." She turned to look back at Daisuke, but he was gone. "A-ah! Dai--" Ayame nearly shouted, but she stopped. "He... left." She muttered.

Kurri nodded his head slightly. "Well, that's good," he replied, still watching him. When Daisuke began to stir, he figured he was getting ready to leave. He glanced towards Ayame, but she hadn't seemed to notice yet. So he frowned slightly, rolling onto his back and watching Daisuke upside down. "Going alone then?" It was more of a statement than a question. Daisuke left, and Kurri let out a small sigh, realizing he'd lost the only person he could talk to. He got to his feet, then jumped across the rocks, settling in Kisa's lap. He was tempted to follow him but he was just a regular cat. If something happened, he had no means of helping out, or even protecting himself, other than running away.

Kisa blinked, then almost automatically began petting him. His fur was still damp, but so was hers, so she couldn't really complain. She faced Ayame again, listening quietly. She frowned, ears drooping just slightly. "I.. see," she said softly, and also looked over towards Daisuke, only to find him gone. She hesitated, then looked questioningly at Ayame. "Should I track him?" she asked, pointing to her nose.

Ayame's head bent down, and her silver eyes closed as she tried to lisen for his voice. She remained completely silent, untill her head jerked up, and she suddenly cried, "No! No, Daisuke!" She could feel his pain, his suffering. "Kisa! Kisa we have to find him! He's dying! He's dying Kisa!" She panicked, jumping up. She threw on he shirt and skirt hastilly, running to the exit of the beach. the hot stinging of tears met her eyes and face, almost feeling she would choke.

Vamp held his daughter as he walked into the beach. He looked at her and smiled. She was looking more like her mother each day. Unlike Gordon, Vamp was a little more protective of Jacklin since he thought she wouldn't want to be a warrior like Gordon. Atleast to his knowledge. for now he wanted her to grow up like a normal child. " You wanna go into the water?" he asked still smiling at her.

Jacklin smiled back at her father "Yes please" she said excitedly, her eyes closing as she nodded her head. Her eyes opened again as she gazed out onto the water it was so pretty, but more importantly she was here with her father, she finally was given the chance to spend some time with him and that mader her even happier.

Vamp smiled as he let he daughter down into the water. The waves moved back and forth slowly. " Go on. Lets see what shells we can collect or see if we can find shark teeth!" he said making his hands into teeth and tickled her a little bit. He smiled as stopped and patted her on the head. the water was rather nice for this time of year. things where starting to warm up. Maybe he'd take the family here one day.

Jacklin had begun making small splashes in the water as she was lowered down into it. "Okay" she said happily nodding once more as she began to giggle as he tickled her. She smiled up at him as he patted her head, and then began a search for shells and other things she'd find intresting. She quietly hummed the tune to a song her mom sang to her, as she searched.
