Shiro smiled at the nurse passing by. "So that's her.." Her murmered under his breath.
Shiro stopped walking down the hall realizing xhilaration wasn't here. "Damn it." he cursed under his breath walking back to the room.

"Eee!" xhilaration squealed "What a cute baby!" She shouted quietly bobbing in delight.
"Hey." A stren voice interrupted her.
"Oh. I don't want to leave yet." xhilaration said sticking out her tongue at Shiro.
Shiro sighed in defeat. "Ugh. Fine." He said plopping down in a chair.
[Ack! My sister keeps hitting the keys while I type! gonk And she's drooling all over my hand.]

Jen had been looking to step out... but here was the nurse with the baby wrapped in a pink cloth... pink... girl... Lucky Mauli.... Lucky Isto... He still couldn't see the baby since Xil was cooing and the nurse and Mauli were looking at it... Jen leaned in a little and then realised that he could wait... he didn't need to crowd in ....
He glanced over at Shiro... it was almost better that he was here... it made Jen feel a little less out of place... sure Shiro had some connection here... But he wasn't immediately involved... so it made Jen feel a little less out fo place...

"Baby?" Mauli croaked out, her voice hoarse. She immedietly sat up, almost throwing Remy off the bed.
The teal SM just laughed, gripping the blanket tightly as he fought to stay on.
The nurse grinned, rocking the small child in her arms back and forth. "Ooch, yiss, and 'tis a fine little 'un too!" She crooned, sidling herself beside Mauli's bed before placing the precious bundle in Mauli's trembling arms.
Mauli silently pulled the blanket back off her baby's face, letting out a sharp gasp as her child stared up with shining green eyes.

Shiro couldn't help but snort. 'I hate hospitals.. So freakin' depressing.' Shiro thought idly to himself.
"You done yet?" Shiro asked lazily, placing a hand to support his chin.
"Hehe, nope." xhilaration said cooing the baby, squealing in delight.
"Ugh." Shiro said slapping his forehead dramatically.
'I don't want to be here...' Shiro thought idly, looking at Mauli before turning his head in the other directions. 'I..I shoudln't be here.. No.. I'm of no imporatance.. 'sides.. It has nothing to do with me.' Shiro said his face softening showing a pained look, but he quickly hid it, turning around.

Jen watched the pain play across Shiro's face and he knew what he was thinking... but a sharp gasp made Jen jerk his head towards Mauli... He thought for a second that something was wrong... but she was smiling... and it made Jen smile too... he stood and padded over to where the Nurse was and he put his front Paws up on the bed to try and see... he wasn't being intrusive however...

Mauli sighed happily, resting her forehead on top of her child's. She could finally get some rest... The tired pirate fell into a state of peace, her mind blocking out everything that was being said. It wasn't that she didn't care, she was just too tired to think about caring. The baby, gurgling softly, raised one hand to pat Mauli's cheek, as if comforting her.
Remy smiled, but underneath his skull, his brow was furrowed. Lenta hadn't come in yet... Hadn't she seen the nurse come in with the baby?

Shiro glanced at the sleeping Mauli. "You done, now?" Shiro asked idly.
"Yeah.." xhilaration said softly, sitting up. She looked at Remy, "Tell Mauli we-- I said bye." xhilaration said smiling softly.
xhilaration trotted over to Shiro, following him out the door.

Shiro arrived at home hours later.
"I'm going to go cook dinner!" xhilaration squeeled, rushing into the kitchen, leaving Shiro in the car.
"..." Shiro didn't say anything, he watched her leave and he quietly walked the the back of the house.
He looked at the wall angrily, and punched it. "Why?!" He shouted angrily, yet quietly so xhilaration wouldn't hear. He watched as the blood poured down, he winced slightly and shut his eyes.
"Why..?" He asked softly, looking at the wall expecting an answer. Shiro quietly walked into the house, his fist in his pocket.
"You hungry?" xhilaration asked bobbing up and down.
Shiro shook his head quietly, walking upstairs to his room, locking the door. He leaned against the door and slowly slid down the floor.
He arched his leg up supporting his injured fist and glanced at it. He slowly shut his eyes and drifted to sleep.

"Shiro..?" xhilaration asked knocking on the door. After minutes of silence she tried opening the door, but it was locked.
"Shiro?" She said louder.
"Shiro? Please open the door." xhilaration said sternly, jiggling the knob.
She sighed in defeat, walking back to her room.
[Eee. I have to go do homework. XO Bye bye.]

Remy nodded slowly, just as Lenta entered the room. He grinned, waving goodbye to Shiro and Xhil, then let himself be picked up by Lenta.
The baby stopped her comforting pats, then she turned, squirming until she was facing Jen. She murmured something, reaching out towards the tan SM with her fingers grasping the air in front of him.

With Xil out of the way Jen could see better... the baby was beautiful and she seemed to notice him a little... little hands reaching out in his direction... Mauli was falling alseap... now was the time to leave then back to Mauli... he stepped down.. and glanced up at Remy... a slight grin on his face... "Mauli... she's beautiful... I wish Isto had been here with you to see her for the first time... " He padded over to the door to leave... then stopped and turned... "What's her name?"

Mauli cracked one eye open, twirling her finger in the small locks of hair on her child's forehead. She blinked, a slow smile creeping across her face, then she turned to look at Jen.
"Her name... is Kailee." The words came out, barely above a whisper. She, too, would have liked Isto to have been there... Slush didn't want it, though. She had to respect Isto's fiancee's wishes, especially since she was scared he'd go into a fit of rage if he found out Isto was anywhere near her little Kailee. Ahh well... Maybe he would sneak out to see her.
At least, she hoped so.

"I like that... She suits it... " He looked up at Lenta and Remy....then back to Mauli... "Thank you all for letting me stay to see her... I'll always remember it... " He turned and padded out the door... leaving the family to whatever it was that proper families did.... He may have shed a tear on his way out of the hospital, but to his astonishment he couldn't be sure if it was for his lack of family or for the honor that Mauli had let him be a part of...

Mauli drifted off to sleep once more, with little Kailee tucked safely in Lenta's arms. She didn't want to smother the little one in her sleep, or anything odd like that. Lenta took that time to play with her new little grandaughter, bursting into tears every time she remembered just how lucky she was to have the chance to live with the precious gift on her lap.

xhilaration shakily picked up the phone. 'It's been a week since Shiro hasn't come out of his room.' she thought to herself frantically.
She quickly dialed a number, and waited for the phone to be picked up. But she was only greeted by the answering machine.
"Y-yes, hello?" xhilaration said shakily, nervousness settling in. "I-I know you may be busy and all.. But I-I've been rather worried." She said worry hinting in her voice.
"Y-you see.. Shiro he hasn't come out.. A-and." She said as if she was on the verge of tears. "I think it's hurt. Physically and Emotionally." She said wiping away her tears. "I-I'm sorry to bother you.." She apologized.
"Bye." She said slowly placing the phone on the receiver, walking away crying.
