I dig the persian. Hes my homeboy xD
Any friend of Erik's is a friend of mine! 3nodding
Ok, seriously now, I really adored his character. He showed the of human side of Erik. I remember this one passage... when the Persian decided he was going to try and get into Erik's house by the lake, and he gets trapped by the siren, and almost drowned by Erik. However, Erik recognised him just in time, and it says that he "gently laid him out on the shore". That part really sums it up... Erik can be so cruel around everyone, but when presented with someone he respects, he is able to be very "gentle". I think this was missing in the movie/play, and blame it on the lack of Nadir.
...plus, I always imagine Darius as being adorable x3!

In the silent versian the Persian's name was Ledoux. That annoyed me to no end. I mean, was it so hard to keep him The Persian? The whole thing in the silent movie was that Ledoux (Who I always refer to as The Persian anyway) was a detective who had been after Erik for forever, which is why he knew so much about him and his secrets and such.
