She smiled. "I am parched." she agreed. "I am going to accompany Arez." moving past him a bit, she headed for the water. It had been a long day, and she hadn't realized how thirsty she was, lying in the cool brush, noiseless. But now, up and moving, she realized her throat was dry, and soon all she would be able to echo was a frog's harsh croaking.
Each step was deliberate, measured from time and time again walking the underbrush towards the water. When she grew closer, where the brush would no longer hide her, she became cautious, head moving, searching, seeking...

He nodded, he realized he had spoken more words than usual. Whether it be for her to have more choice of words he did not know but he did know he was being more considerate and he didn't paticulary care for that. His cool eyes followed the mare as he moved after her. "Alright." He watched her sudden movements as the brush no longer concealed her. He wondered why someone like her would be so cautious. Now he, the odd ball of any herd sure. "Are you okay?" he tilted his head at her slightly. "I assure you, your safe." he stopped, now he was offering protection for her? He was a softy, this was not the first time but everytime it happened it would make him more aware even though he didn't do it for everyone.

She smiled gratefully at the stallion, accepting his protection for the moment. Still, she was wary. It was instinctive.
She moved down to the water, bending her head to take a sip of the cool liquid, eyes scanning the shoreline quietly. She stretched her wings, and then her legs, one at a time. She didn't quite know what to say to the stallion, so she merely filled the time.

Ares watched her and had the feeling that she wasn't the only one that felt some what awkward. His cool eyes looked at her, if he wanted a conversation with her he would have to start it which would be something he hadn't ever done or on a normal basis. "Do you live close to here?" he asked and then frowned, second guessing himself. "Sorry stupid question just..." he cut himself off. Boy he was making a great impression of himself at the moment, the fact was he actually cared when normally he wouldn't have gave a...well you know.

She gave a faint smile. "I do live close." she agreed. Well, relatively. It did depend on how you defined close, and she defined it as within a day's walk. "Do you, Arez?" she tilted her head, looking at him with cool, curious eyes.

"If I fly, oui. Otherwise not so much." his eyes seemed to brighten when she spoke his name. She said it how one would say it in Frenglish. It was cute? He didn't even know what that word meant but he was sure that was it. His ears flickered forward, "It's a long walk, just put it that way." his eyes flickered to hers. Time was passing and unbelievably quickly he thought. "Do you want me to walk you home before dark, Echo?"

She smiled at him, eyes bright. "I am okay, Arez. Thank you..." she shook her mane. "Want to fly me?" She would enjoy a flight, under the stars, with a cool breeze. It was starting to get dark, she noticed, regretfully. She loved the night, but so many things went away after dark. Company, cnversation.... Night came, and they went, leaving her to her solitude.

His cool eyes went to hers carefully and he shook his head, "I would enjoy your company on this lovely night." his expression remained hard and still almost cold. His braided mane lifted in the breeze that blew. He too had been longing to take flight in the night, to outstretch his ebony wings.
