Shaylee a lot smaller in size looked into those gray orbs and felt peace for the pang of uneasinss she was experiencing. She smiled a little letting her ears swivel with a brush of her curly tail side to side.
"I'd like very much to find them some day, just to let them know I still love them" she nodded with a wider smile letting her sadness hinder and dissolve to think positively for once.
Becoming a bit chipper she pondered many things letting them rush through her like the deepest ocean.
"Hmm I hope if I have any babies with Torn," she blushed saying this so openly, "That I'll be a better mother and learn who they are. Never again will my own children be shipped off in the world and not know me".
Swishing her tail more she beamed up at Death, "I'm a good mother, I need to remember that. Always."
And it was true she desired nothing more than to be with her family. Anything to make her feel whole again, she'd stretch to the deepest depths to uncover and make right.

"That's all that you need to do, is to promise yourself that if given the chance, you will meet up with them once again. I can't garuntee you their answer, but I can tell you that sometimes it's just best to tell them and to explain it. Maybe that's all they need..." Death spoke gently, fluttering her wings lightly at her side to release a little of the heat that they'd kept close to her body.
Another smile, a little stronger this time, spread over her pale muzzle when she saw how happy she suddenly appeared to be. A mother should always be hapy at the thought of her children, at the thought of seeing her children again or seeing them happy at all.
In fact there was a little part of Death that had always wanted to see the smile of a foals face looking up at her and calling her 'mommy'. Often she'd stared at the baskets after she'd had them and wondered if they were smiling inside that little basket. At least she hoped that they were.
Tilting her head to Shaylee, Death simply nodded and grinned a little, a strange look on her face. "As long as you believe that you are, then you'll find that you are."

A good mother.
She let those words settle deep within herself, though her body sometimes didn't even stand still long enough to even let the warmth touch upon her slender little form from the sun. Her curiousity and excited nature made her seem more like a hellbent dragonfly rather than a vivicious little flutter.
She's find away to find them, she just had to was the thoughts that trailed and swirled in her little congested mind. Looking at her wing she flexed it a tiny bit wincing miserably when the sting returned. Just why was it that these two-leggeds couldn't use magic and make things go zip zip and off you go. Didn't make a bit of sense really.
She slowly turned her head and looked into those cool gray eyes litterally floating for a simple moment. Such a softness gazed into her from Death's eyes, it made Shaylee feel relaxed and safe from the world beyond that simple yet complex creature before her. So much different than the hustle and bustle that she called her own lifestyle.
When did she really take time to smell the roses- so to speak.
"I wonder" she paused with a flick of her ears, "If we have to make mistakes to learn from them, and in that way you know better next time. I think that's why this all happened" she nodded with a soft sigh that changed to brightened eyes, "Have any motherly advice for the next time, well if I ever try to be a good parent again?"
She tilted her head flicking her tail back and forth as if a melody were playing, lively and bright deep in the recesses of her mind.
