((Blah. =.= Sorry for the crappy post.))

Ravii still felt silly, and she couldn't shake it. The light that usually shone out from her soul seemed to beam brighter, while a smile seemed to stick permanantly to her lips. Perhaps it was the charm and easy nature of the red and white speckeled male. He talked to smooth, and was quite the flirt. Ravii lapped up his compliments like water, and (naively) didn't think twice about it.

Deep down, part of her reminded her to tread cautiously. Eros was still a stranger, still an unknown variable. . .
And yet, her trusting nature told her that he was all right. A good friend, at the very least, and a companion. He seemed to mean what he said - it would be too much work to lie. Or so Ravii assumed . . . To a professional lier, the intricate tangles and webs one weaved became a form of art.

Shame on Ravii for believing such things.

But the shewolf longed for a friend, someone to care for, and give her care in return. All her life that's all the cream and violet female searched for. As a puppy she wanted a family, as an adolescent she yearned for friends, and now, as an adult she wanted love.

As romantic and sickeningly sweet, it was the only drive Ravii had. To keep one with her, to be able to fall back upon another, to trust one implicately and learn to trust in return.

Other wolves had it. . . so why hadn't she?

The instinct of companionship within Ravii mixed with her own personal desires made her even more susceptable to Eros' kindness.

A fool?

Only with the emotion called love. . but oh what a fool she'd become.

Before Ravii had a chance to respond, trotting with almost a giddly lilt in her step, the cream and violet female opened her mouth to speak but . . . slipped.

Oh yes, so intent upon the red and white male she had trotted ahead of him as he paused, and found herself standing on ice. Attempting to jump back on land, the cream female lost all traction and her back feet slipped underneath her. Landing flat on her rump, and giving a surprised yelp, she slid a half-circle (how very lady like ~.~) before coming to a stop on the ice.

It was damp, and not exactly very thick. But it was a pond, and she knew if she fell in it might not be so deep. Hopefully.

Ears going back in embarressment, the female gave a little self-concious laugh. "Careful," she warned with a silly smile. " . . .we're at the pond."

Now. . how on earth was she going to get up?

Blue eyes staring at her paws, she carefully tried to rise from the slippy ground, and found it to be a bit . . . difficult.

(( Whatchatalkin'about? *thinks it rox* <3 ))

Pondering what to say, Eros found himself distracted with his own thoughts. Ravii was simply stunning, he couldn't believe his luck. It seemed odd that someone had not claimed this amethyst for their own. Perhaps there was more to her that he had not undug, or maybe she had yet to stumble upon someone right. Whichever way or reason, she was single, and he was pushing the right buttons.

His heart fluttered once more. Ravii's grin grew far too contagious, and Eros was far too immune. She was stunning in the snow, like a jewel among coal. Eyes drawing uncontrollably to her, and unable to break away.

Eros sighed, one of sheer contentment. He loved the gitty way he felt around her, which was probably why his heart snapped when he saw his lady friend slip on the ice.

The ruby stained wolf tended to be one to run away from a problem, especially one that involved danger. There was only one exception to this instinct, that being when one of his girls faced danger as well. One would think this as odd, coming from a wolf that could so easily destroy a heart without the lightest of cares. Many believe this is proof that Eros may actually care about his flings; however no one has ever pried a confession out of him.

"Ravii!" His normally deep and rich voice was ripped into an alarm. Eros was a 'do first, think about how stupid your actions were later' which was usually what got him into hot water half the time. Claws outstretched, he looked almost like a feline as he jumped on to the ice, cringing as it crackled under him.

"The ice is thin," he seemed to be blind to the fact she was calm. Somehow he managed to scratch his way to her. "It would be such shames to let such a pretty coat get stained by muddy pond water." His red head lowered, the top of his mussel briefly brushed her chin, a sign that he wished to help her up…perhaps a little affection mixed up in there.

"Here," his voice was steadier now, however concern still braced it. "Let me help you up, ice can kill a wolf in winter." His eyes shifted downwards.

"..And I…" golden eyes shifted up, catching Ravii's. "…Couldn't loose you."

((Haha - yours did not suck! Yours was wonderful, as usual! n.n ))
Ravii almost winced as Eros took a flying dive at the ice. Yes, yes it was thin and the crackling underneath the red males toes made Ravii a smidge nervous. A look around, and the cream female was grateful that the majority of the pond was still frozen. It wasn't completely thawed . . . . .yet.

Still, her azure gaze was drawn back to the red and white hearted male. Deep down, Ravii was rather surprised but his concern. From playful and giddy one moment, to delving straight in to concern, the wolfess couldn't help but be . . . pleased.

That had to mean he cared~! Well, for as much two strangers could care. Or something along those lines.

Ravii's mind was still warring with her heart, logic attempting to cool off her wild emotions. Eros had captured her interest, and in more ways than just a mere friend. And yet, that intrigue (though not entirely foreign) was a wee bit on the dusty side for the poor cream and violet shewolf. Ravii's past involving males was a short list, and nothing that lasted or effected her as crazily as she was feeling now.

None of her past interests had caused her such delight, or weaved their intricate words in to capturing a smile. He wouldn't have worked so hard to produce such flowery phrases if he didn't really mean it. . . right?

Right.

An endearing male, to say the very least, and something within Ravii felt good. Very good. It was a sensation she didn't easily want to forget.

As his muzzle brushed her own, the female had to stop herself from quickly (and coyly) ducking her head. Part of her was afraid to move too quickly on the soggy, snapping ice. So she enjoyed it for what it was, before her violet ears pricked at his final words.

. . what.

He just said what? If she were so very happy, then why on earth was her stomch churning in knots? " . . . do you really mean that?" For a moment, the cream female forgot herself. There was no ice, there was no cold or threat of danger. The only thing that mattered was Eros, and what he implied by speaking such things.

The she wolfs heart fluttered in her chest, jumping up to her throat and causing her to stare in an almost primitive, wild and instinctual manner. Part of Ravii opened up to Eros, letting him in on the terribly strong desire and longing she had for companionship - anything!

Perhaps in retrospect, she might see her blunder by allowing things to move so fast. By being so foolish as to forget that they had only just met.

But Ravii believed in love at true sight. She believed there were wolves who could fall for another by a single moment, a single meeting. By fate. Was this why she'd been alone all along? To meet someone as wonderful as Eros and be swept off her feet? Was this why she'd wandered alone for the entirety of her life, to find one and truly one who might care?

In a split second, all of that changed, transformed back in to the fight of logic. No no - they'd only just met! Strangers - he was only being kind. That second of raw need was quickly passed over, forgotten about, pressed to the side and hidden. Realizing she was staring, the female gave a little laugh, and a gentle dismissive snort. "Ah, such words you weave, such words. . ." There. Brush it off as if he didn't mean it - that was the way! He couldn't ahve meant it . . . . . could he?

Her back legs finally found a bit of traction, and she carefully carefully rose to her feet. "Now, just . . . ever so . . . .carefully," she muttered, azure eyes tearing away from Eros and staring down at her clumsy feet. Inch by inch, she slowly dragged herself back to shore, occassionally using Eros as a crutch for assistance.

(( n.n She probably has brushed against him a few times, both coincidence and purposely. Just an FYI. ;P ))

Had Eros known her thoughts, he'd be quite disappointed with himself. Not coming on strong enough, happened rarely if ever. In fact most of the time it was quite the opposite (he had the scars the prove it xD).

The scarlet wolf could however sense something was missing. Usually wolves would have had much greater response (whether it be good or bad) by this point, so he assumed something was getting caught somewhere...

Perhaps he needed to be a little bolder…

She was soft, her fur felt more like downy on his much rougher mussel. He felt almost embarrassed, praying that his own didn't feel like a hedgehog on her poor chin. Why must he'd cursed with scarred nose? (the ladies seemed to snap at that first…)

His last comment seemed to stir a reaction, his heart meeting hers in speed as he caught a well hidden delight. However even this seemed to be short-lived as she found the key to their locked eyes, and his heart plummeted as she brushed away his comments yet again.

"Aye," his smile almost died as well, however he managed to keep it somewhat stable. "It's hard to keep my mussel shut with such beauty to compliment." Eros caught himself watching her carefully as they hit the snow bank, and the ice ended.

"Such sweet beauty," this fueled his smile back into full blast. Still holding he worried for a second if she could feel his uprising fur hidden blush.

Ravii stood on the snow, shaking out her coat to rid herself of any excess slush that stuck to her rump, tail and back legs. Her blue eyes seemed thoughtful, and for a long moment nothing happened. What next? Did they resume their trek, or did . . . did they sort . . .this out?

What was this anyway?

The blue eyed female's shyness bled through her in full. Part of her knew that there were advances behind his sweet words. The red and heart male was being so sweet, so kind, and what did she give him in return?

A little uncertain about the rules to such games, blue eyes finally looked up to study him. Taking a step forward, her violet ears carefully fell back and closer to her skull. A little whine entered her throat as Ravii decided to take a risk, to take a chance.

If she were reading all the signs correctly....

Any fear and inhibitation was pushed to the side. "And what would you have of me, then?" She asked, coyness lacing her soft spoke words. "There's much beauty in the world and if you find me so sweet. . . what of it? Words are but words. . ." But actions spoke louder than words. A step closer and she ducked her head under his chin, almost submissively, but quite fondly.

She braced herself for a snarl, a growl, some sort of attack and yet . . . . delighted in the moment of close proximity. Ravii knew how to flirt when she needed to, though this was a bit obvious.

Still, he'd tried to save her from the ice, and that deserved something, didn't it?
Yes, things were moving quickly. But there was an obvious attraction for one another. Unless Ravii's interest was one sided and she'd read more in to his words than necessary.

(( awww Ravii's soo cute 4laugh *skins Eros for what he ends up doing* D< ))

Eros's mind drifted, the cream and violet lone seemed to capture him. The gamma had had a lot of woman throughout his time; however she seemed different from the others. She was sweet, however very naïve. Quite passive, yet still he found himself loose in the knees.

He caught her shyness, and for a second feared all he'd done had gone to waste. The crimson male had felt so close to her moments before, yet now he feared that in any second she may bolt for the hills.

Had he been too bold? Was this really what she wanted?

Eros watched closely as her ears fell back, and a whine escaped her. His heart dropped for a second, and he feared all was lost.

Then it happened…

He could hardly believe this. Seconds earlier he was sure Ravii was fated to run, and then now she was giving a chance?

Ravii seemed so sensitive, almost scared. Eros was almost hesitant to say anything. She hadn't did anything wrong, in fact she rather pleased him. His ears perked, and his tail twitched, grinning he nudged the lilac head that had just been placed, kindly…almost in affection to sooth the poor strained soul.

"I'd love to capture such beauty…" he paused, lowering his head until it just barely touched hers."One day…"

He wished not to be too abrupt, however she did ask.

((*grins* I'm glad you think so. . . but hey, for the time they have left they can be cute together. x3 Even if it's just a game on Eros' part. ))

Flee from him? HARDLY. Ravii couldn't help but feel a bit nervous, coy, and very shy. Allowing such interest and curiousity to bloom in to something new was a path she'd never had the oppurtunity to follow. And yet, in one meeting, all of that seemed to change.

When no attack came, Ravii relaxed a bit, head still placed delicately against his chest and underneath his muzzle. She stepped a bit closer, nuzzling in to the plush fur of his white smeared chest. Closing her eyes, for just a brief moment, Ravii cherished such attention and affection.

Her body seemed to tingle from feeling the foreign touch of anothers body. Delicate spirited shewolf made the decision then to let him follow her anywhere. If he chose to stick near and by her side, then so be it. "Perhaps you shouldn't try to capture such beauty but . . . but let it come to you." Craning her neck, the most gentle of smiles crossing her features, Ravii brushed her muzzle up against his own.

She didn't bother moving, allowing herself to stick close. Farther and farther the wolfess spiraled in to the foreign emotions and feelings.

For once, that shaded part of her soul, the feeling of finding one who did care, and seemed to desire her presence, was lit. Love had sparked her soul, and with Ravii, it would soon turn in to a raging and uncontrolled fire.

To be without companionship and love for so long, Eros was nourishment to her spirit and vitality.

(( Bah humbug, screw math *wants to give you a response* xD I'll probably have to skip it anyways to get my stitches removed anways. *throws homework into a flaming bucket* >D ))

Eros felt his cream dipped ears slowly shift backwards, until the brushed the side of his head. He wasn't scared, nor did he feel uncomfortable. It was simply that he was enjoying the moment too much to care about anything else. A cougar probably could have pounced at him, and all he'd do is grin.

Ahh, the sweet dreams of love…or at lease his twisted version of it.

His heart vanished into butterflies as the shewolf talked. Why she was quite a clever one, he was lucky that she was so gullible, or else he wouldn't have been able to get within three feet of her, let alone this far.

It was a shame that she was so weak in dominance (well…not really for Eros sake), he had figured if she was dominate she'd be a proud Alpha, with a good mate, and way too many of those ungodly things called pups running around.

He was sure one lucky wolf.

"Mmm," his smile stretched although he was sure that if anything she'd only feel it. "Perhaps this beauty would like to come with this sorry old wolf?" He paused before making sure to justify this.

"He's not going anywhere far for a few, and he's quite lonely…" Eros rarely spoke in third person, although he couldn't help to play along with her…

Going. . .going. . . gone.

Her heart was handed out far too easily. A shame that Eros was the first to make her swoon, the first to offer her a cure for her lonely nights. A shame that she fell so stupidly in to his deceptive words and fake kindness. Perhaps he meant some of what he spoke, but Ravii could only believe he meant it all.

She was a believer of all things good and hopeful. She understood that emotions could be uncontrolled and uncontained. The patterns of the heart were a mystery Ravii didn't bother to understand and untangle. She knew of their existances, but took everything in stride. She wasn't going to question the inevitable, of what was going to happen.

For shame.

But then again, Ravii couldn't help but trust Eros and believe he felt as strongly about such things as she. Wolves who played games were fools and worse than the murderous beasts that lurked the forests on two legs. Never would she have thought that Eros was one of them. . .

but then again. . .

She didn't know Eros long enough to make a fair judgement. Her trusting nature and good humor put her in this position and she would pay for such a sin.

But for now, the shewolf couldn't help but swoon. Leaning closer against his white and red fur, the wolfess gave an encouraging whine. Tail wagging quicker, she moved underneath his chin and allowed the rest of her body to brush close against his chest, legs and throat. Spinning around she met him nose to nose, blue eyes bleeding her delight and joy.

"Two lonely wolves, I hear, can make for some very good company." Would she stick by his side?

Of course.

How could she not? "So long as you'll have me, I'll be there." And that was a promise Ravii didn't make lightly.

Oh no.

When she offered her heart, she offered it fully. None she'd crossed had been worthy up to this point - for whatever reasons, she'd chosen Eros. Perhaps it was her age, perhaps it was all the years of being on her own - whatever the case, the red and white hearted wolf had met her at the right place, at the right time, with all the right words to make her swoon.

Good for Eros.
