Briar blushed at the term "love birds" though he couldn't deny it wasn't an accurate term for them. "We'll be sure to visit," he agreed, grinning at the departing trio. He wouldn't want to keep Kechara away from her family.
Briar turned his attention back to Kechara. "Ah, yes, breakfast," he said, smiling down at Kechara. "Shall we go search for something good to eat?"

Kechara nodded, taking his paw into her own, a bold move for her, even after last night. She smiled, "What do you think we should go eat? I like many things." She said, looking around for any type of tree or bush that could contain food. Seeing none she pursed her lips, where could they go to find some?

Briar thought about it as he glanced around the area they were in. The Candy Mountain and Gummy Tree Forest were both too far away to reach for breakfast, and they were hungry now. "I know there are some good fish in the lake," he suggested. "Or we could search around for something else."

Kechara nibbled absently on her paw, transferring her gaze from the forest to the lake. She doubted they could get any fish, even if they tried. She couldn't swim very well and was probably not fast enough to catch any. Her gaze returned to the forest; perhaps food could be found inside it? She glanced back at Briar, "Is there anything you like?" She asked softly, tilting her head at him, "We should find something you like," She squeezed his paw, smiling.

"I like most things," Briar said. "Well, except licorice and coffee and molasseses." He rubbed the back of his neck with a little nervous laugh. Really, he thought it best to find whatever Kechara liked best. Hm, a compromise perhaps, he thought. "Why don't we just wander around and see what we can find that we both like?" he offered.

Kechara nodded, filing those admissions for later in case she ever wanted to get him something. Kechara smiled faintly, "If you want to..." She agreed.
"Can....can we look in the forest first?" She asked tentatively, cheeks tinting a faint pink. Maybe they'd find those little star shaped fruits Ryuune had given her once. She really liked those. Tilting her head, she waited for him to move first and her to follow his lead.

Briar nodded, smiling at Kechara. "The forest sounds like a good idea to me," he said and drew back from her so that they could head on their way to the forest to search for something to eat for breakfast. He stretched a little before starting to trot toward the forest, pausing to glance over his shoulder to ensure that Kechara was following along side him.

Kechara followed behind Briar, a bit surprised by how quickly Briar was wanting them to move. Was he really that hungry? She giggled, and shook her head, there was still so much to learn about him. She winced as pain throbbed in her leg from the excursion but didn't look down, lest she trip again. "Um..." She began softly, blushing, unsure if she should ask Briar to stop for a bit, just in case her cut re-opened. They made it to the treeline and her indecision no longer mattered. Being herself, she tripped on a tree root and-- "Ah--!" crashed forward into Briar.

Hearing the little gasp, Briar turned and was surprised to meet with an armful of Kechara crashing into him. He rolled onto his back, holding onto Kechara to ensure the female Numa wouldn't crash to the ground and hurt herself again. When the tumble came to an end, Briar looked up and ran a paw through Kechara's hair. "Are you okay?"

Kechara opened her eyes-which had closed from the anticipation of impact-and stared into gorgeous red-orange eyes. Cheeks flared crimson and she jerked up and off of him, eyes wide. "S-sorry! I'm really sorry!" She stammered, eyes darting over his form for any injury she might have caused him.
Her paws clenched around each other as her gaze focused on the ground, "I-I didn't mean to do that." She mumbled, horribly embarrased and flustered. "I-I'm fine," She glanced at him, "A-are you okay?" Why was she so clumsy? What if she had really hurt Briar? She didn't notice her own wound, which was staining the fabric covering it.

Briar sat up and wrapped Kechara's paws with his own paws. "I'm fine," he assured her. "Fat provides a good layer of padding," he tried to joke with a small smile. It faded as he stared at Kechara. "Are you all right though? Is your leg hurting?"

Kechara blushed darker as she saw his paws wrap around her own. Her head shot up and she growled indignantly, "You're not fat, Briar!" She told him sternly. He was perfect, and nothing he could say would change that.
She blinked in surprise at his question and for the first time she realized that her leg was indeed hurting, and hurting quite a bit. Still she shook her head, not wanted to cause him to worry, "I'm fine." She repeated softly, giving him a weak smile.

Briar blinked in surprise at the sternness in Kechara's voice and almost released her paws. Instead, he squeezed the paws he held. "I meant that only as a joke," he explained with a sheepish smile.

Kechara's eyes widened and she flushed with embarrassment, "S-sorry." She mumbled, "It's just..." She looked at him, eyes partially hidden from her multi-colored hair, "I....I think you're perfect, s-so I don't really understand why you say those things." She told him, her own voice meek.
Her wound throbbed again with her heartbeat, which was steadily increasing. She hid her wince as best she could, hoping Briar wouldn't see anything amiss with her.

Briar leaned his head forward and nuzzled his head against her neck. "Then I won't say things like that anymore, even as a joke," he told her. He pulled back and ran a paw over Kechara's cheek until he noticed her wince. She hid it almost perfectly, but Briar caught the little twinge of pain. "Your leg hurts."
