Dragon Bleed The general public doesn't really know that mach about female fronted metal, so saying that the general public know Tarja as the face of Nightwish doesn't make too much sense. For saying that the band cannot move on without Tarja is not correct either because there are many other people who can sing better than Tarja, for example Vibeke (ex-Tristana) and Liv Kristen (Leave's Eyes) to name a couple. Toumas is the real backbone of the band and everyone who is really serious about Nightwish knows that. He doesn't need Tarja to write songs, he will pick the new vocalist to fit the music, he won't, nor has he, wrapped the music around the singer. I think Nightwish will move on beautifully without Tarja, though if they decide to put Tarja back in the band, I would not have any objection. Well said.

Well you two have your opinions and I have mine, which is cool. People are allowed to hold separate opinions.

I think that Vibeke would do well with Nightwish, but I don't think she is the new singer. If she is, I hope Tarja doesn't try to get revenge or something and join Tristania. That would be absolutely horrendous.

Cant wait for the new single! I've bought their latest album which was ok but not as good as the others I have heard from them. It sounded a little popy...to me at least.

It sounded a little popy...to me at least. their latest full-lenght album? 'Once' ? it was a little popy... Their best (or at least my favorite) is Century Child, but I like all of them. Specially the song Ever Dream performed in the last concert with Tarja, recorded live for the End of An Era DVD

I didn't think Once was too poppy, I liked it. The only things wrong were "Romanticide", "Dead Gardens", leaving out Tarja's operetic quality, and something not sounding right after "The Siren" (except for "Kuoleme Tekee Taiteilijan"). Not my favorite album, but I liked.
