Brown ears flicked forward in response to the familiar voice, followed quickly by the entire head and a second whinny of greeting. Flame only raised his a brow curiously, trying not to show his impatience with the situation.
Simultaneously, Blais charged through the remaining undergrowth just as the branches of the central willow tree shifted in the breeze created by the downsweep of Crousader's wings. Both stallions looked at each other first, with Blais's normally closed and angry face showing nothing more then a wide grin and sparkling eyes. Crousader, for his part, seemed less bitter with the world as a whole, and was more intent on cursing the great spirits for making trees.
Flame, who was still finding it difficult to look his son in the eyes, actually smiled slightly at the unspoken exchange between his other two teepee mates.
As for the other members of Elderwillow; Celei, Riverfire, and the shy male two-legger hunter Crousader had adopted, they had all appeared from their respective teepees quietly. Celei held out a gloved arm for Marahute, while Riverfire followed after Edelsteine when the creamy colored feline made a beeline dash for Tai.
Gully, however, went straight for the most colorful addition to the encampment.
"CHICKEN!"

"Taiii!" Yei continued in an overjoyed fashion, her temper evaporating as she ascended the track and came closer to the teepee, her eyes trained solely on the group of stallions ahead of her. She seemed to have completely forgotten the stallion behind her and released a 'squee' of pleasure at the sight of her family - it made a certain stallion behind her rather jealous.
"So, what's the wonderful news then?" She continued, cooing with pleasure as she gave her brother and his adoptive father an affectionate nuzzle, a little too affectionate to be entirely genuine which was of some comfort to the jealous chicken behind her - at least now he knew she was still aware of his presence.
"Is it someone's birthday, are we having a wedding?" She continued to barrage her 'brother' with questions and behind her, the chicken could only arch a brow and hold back the urge to point out that people needed time to answer questions. However, he very much suspected that making her have another temper tantrum would be inappropriate at the moment.
His inability to remain outside of the attention of the other stallions was short lived though as a high pitched voice rose high enough to contest the mare's and he physically winced. He had nothing against the adorable bear, but 'chicken' was not his favourite nickname and -
"WHEN DID YOU COME HERE?!" Yei demanded as she swung round to eye the colourful stallion, who for the first time in his life in the Kawani, seemed to be incredibly vulnerable and uncomfortable. The wide eyes and the apprehensive smile were enough to make Yei's temper melt slightly, she even felt a tad guilty.
"It...was an accident." He replied faintly, not quite meeting the mare's eyes as he turned his attention to the bear, "Greetings again, Lord Gully."

Oblivious to his white fur, Gully... well... rolled the last few feet to Grencia, sprawling out in like panting upside down rug at the winged stallion's feet. His violet eyes were bright and merry nonetheless, and he only tilted his head slightly to look up at Yei. "He came when you all went away, made me happy. Please don't yell, Tai has good news!" The bear said, giggling the last bit of news. Perhaps of them all, he was the most observant, and hadn't missed Tai's increasing worry, or Esper's growing belly in the few times he had seen her.
Tai, however, was content to let the other simmer for a moment longer. It wasn't often he could surprise them in such a way, and he found himself enjoying the moment. But a pointed glance from Flame spurred him into action immediately after Gully dissolved in giggles, so he cleared his throat. Loudly.
"Well, not to far form here, there lies a small grove. Esper and I have taken a liking too it... it's warm, safe from predators... lost of space for.. others of lesser stature..." he paused, hoping his words would at least strike a cord in Yei. Of them all, she was the one (next to Celei) whom he so enjoyed pleasing.. and in this case.. teasing. Call it brotherly love.

Grencia couldn't quite formulate the right sentence, the words were on the tip of his tongue and yet, as Gully requested that Yei calm down he couldn't help but mentally extend his gratitude to the bear. To such an extent was his gratitude that he nudged the bear back onto his feet and nuzzled him softly before flicking his gaze towards Yei.
...Granted, she was still staring at him open mouthed, but slowly but surely those eyes...
They softened.
Evidently, she was listening to every word that her brother was saying and Grencia mentally began to count down from ten until at last the mare released an ear piercing squeal and swung round to stare at her brother. She didn't stand still for long though, prancing around Tai excitedly as she gave him an assessing look.
"...You aren't saying what I think you're saying, are you?" She enquired suspiciously, her eyes twinkling with unspoken hope, "Is Esper expecting babies?!"

Gully accepted the help graciously then half turned and winked up at Grencia, only to turn back around and start giggling again at Tai and Yei.
Flame's face had turned unreadable as Tai spoke, while Blais looked completely confused. Crousader, well he only smiled slightly and nudged Blais on the shoulder, whispering something in the younger stallions ear.
As for Tai, his laughter was infectious as he nodded happily at Yei and half reared up on his hindlegs. "Three! The baskets arrived overnight while I was away! And..." he paused to bring all four feet down to earth, looking at everyone the eye. "Esper and I would be honored for all of you to come and visit us, afterall..." he paused again with the same infectious grin. "It's only fair that we give the young ones the chance to back out now and run away if they can't handle the lot of you."

"Baaaaabies!" Yei could scarcely contain herself as she gave another squee of pleasure and continued to prance in circles. She hadn't been quite so excited in a long while and was completely incapable of containing her emotions - in fact, one could say that she was getting even more excitable by the moment to the point that she would be a little too happy for her own good.
"Congratulations." Grencia murmured somewhat uncomfortably, indicating that he was well aware of his place outside of this little celebration although he did feel obliged to extend his well wishers. "I hope the mother is well." He added, nodding his head a little to emphasise his point before releasing an inaudible sigh - his voice alone had been enough to stop the mare in her tracks.
Funny that.
"I would - I would love to see them." Yei murmured at last, catching her own excitement as she turned to smile warmly at her brother. There really were no words to express how proud she was of him and she, she was an auntie! The things she could teach the little ones, the love she could show - well, it was all a little too much for her and without warning her eyes welled up with tears.
"And Esper, I want to congratulate her...She must be so thrilled!" She choked.

Esper curled into the grass, watching the wind blow the small blades away, and they moved to and fro, and caught her eye so innocently. Keeping a giggle in, she looked to the sky. Her body was peaceful. She was serene, and she couldnt have been happier. Stretching her neck, she looked to the sky, and watched the puffy white of the clouds roll by and make little bears, and foals.
Oh gee, but you couldnt guess what was on her mind. Her imagination watched the clouds that looked like three respectable young foals, and they trained in on them. She imagined them prancing, and the clouds starting dancing in the sky.
She had fallen asleep when Tai had gone, but she was almost certain he had gone to grab his family. He was so excited to tell them! And heck, she was just as excited. Smiling, she thought what Micah, and Jean-Claude would think. Last she'd heard, Jean was expecting too. Oh how happy the teepee would be, and how happy life was!
