She's older. Chances of deformities rise. Hate to be grim, sorry.

I think the person you should speak to in order to prevent it should be your dad. If they're trying to have a kid, he's got a role in this thing. I really don't mean to be blunt here, but I always am. It's as much his responsibility if he knows she's likely to abort. Why is he willing to take that risk, instead of laying down the law and saying, "I won't have a child with you unless I'm sure that you won't kill my child?" It's a hard thing to say, but if he's faced with it later on, it'll tear him apart that he let it happen. If only she was trying, that'd be different, but he is too, so it sounds like. I know he doesn't like abortion, but he's basically going to help her get pregnant even though it risks the child's life and he knows it. He's got a choice in this matter at this point. It's the only point until childbirth that he'll have any say.

Oh I know. However they didn't even tell Leigha and I they were trying to get pregnant, Leigha found out when she went to borrow socks from Susan and went into her drawer (which she shouldn't have done) and found tests to see when you're the most fertile.

They basically told us that it was none of our business, they didn't care about our opinion on the matter, nothing we said would change anything etc. I think them trying to get pregnant is completely stupid, for more than simply the abortion issue, but that definitally adds to it.

Joy-ish...I'll just answer that with:

I was depressed clinically even though I have a very good life, save a few health issues. It got to the point where I was suicidal, but when I told my counselor, she said, "Well, you shouldn't be."

1. It didn't change the fact that I was. I'm a logical person and had told her before she said that, "There's nothing wrong in my life, I'm pretty lucky, but..." She knew I'd looked at that angle.

2. In fact, I should've been, as it turned out. Not only did I have an illness we didn't know about then which causes depression, I had meds I was on that can cause depression, and a family history of it.

3. She had no right to tell me how I should and should not feel without taking into account what my lifeview is. If you feel that hunting is cruel, you're obviously going to feel upset when you hear a detailed description of a hunt, whereas someone else feels excited by it because they don't think it's cruel and they feel that it'd be fun. Those people feel differently about the same situation, and they aren't wrong to feel that way.

This is the prolife guild. Obviously, Toxic feels that fetuses are people, and whatever you might feel doesn't change that fact. It doesn't mean she doesn't need support. Whatever your feelings are on the matter, it doesn't hold true for everyone.

Also, there is a difference between trying to have a child when the chances of a deformity are heightened, knowing you will abort any deformed child, and becoming pregnant without trying and finding out your child is deformed. It is willingly trying to create a life knowing that you'll end that life if it isn't your idea of a perfect baby.

Being willing to abort a SEVERELY DEFORMED fetus does not mean you want only a perfect baby. It could mean the baby, once born, has little chance of surviving anyway, or even develop sentience.

She didn't say severely. She said severe enough. There is a world of difference. Severe enough can be as minor as she wants it to be; it could be as minor as an extra toe or if you go by some people, the wrong gender.

Well, maybe we should ask Susan what she meant... then again, I don't think that would help toxic and get along with her any better.
