"Well..." Charlie began, but didn't know how else to rephrase it. He chuckled and shrugged. "It's in the past now, so let's return to the present, shall we?" he asked and looked out one of the windows at the waning afternoon. Spring had come and the weather was dancing between the two seasons. Today the wind was chill, but the sun shown down, warming the world with its light. "It's a nice day. Would you care to go out and enjoy what's left of it?" he asked, his eyebrows rising in questioning.

Charl waited to hear what he had to say intently, returning her attention back to him. It was his statement about returning to the present that got her to blink, having gotten confused for a moment. After lifting the confusion, she smiled and nodded. "Okay then." She replied before looking out the window as well. As much as she liked the winter... she thought Spring was just as nice... especially with all the song birds that start chirping. She sighed happily, quite content on staying inside and looking out, but when he asked if she would like to go out, she couldn't help but jump a little. "That would be great."

Charlie stood with a nod, leaving his lyre on the couch, and offered Charl a paw. "Shall we go, then?" he asked, though the question was more of a polite formality than an actual question. A faint smile had returned to his face as his cramped limbs unwound as he stood there. A small Scritch crawled out from under the couch and hopped up onto the couch with a short hiss. "Ah, there you are, Paisley. Going to watch my lyre for me, are you?" he asked and the small dragon growled once before curling around the light wood.

Unwrapping her tail from her lap, Charl reached out and took his hand softly, nodding. She then used his hand to pull herself up onto her feet. Once up, she brushed her fur down where she was sitting. Hearing something hiss, she looked around until she saw the small dragon thing on the couch, in which she squeaked and hid behind Charlie. She peeked out at it for a moment before slowly emerging when she realized that Charlie knew the thing.

Charlie couldn't help himself at Charl's reaction to his shy, little companion. He promptly burst out laughing.
His deep, masculine laughter bubbled forth uncontrolably for a few moments before he regained some semblance of control over himself, clutching his sides. "Oh, dear. I, heh heh, I'm sorry Charl. But, the look on your face," he attempted but started laughing all over again. Paisley, on the other hand, just looked from one Audio to the other, completely confused.

Slowly coming out from her hiding spot behind Charlie, she glanced at the confused Paisley, then to the laughing audio. She looked down timidly, taking hold of her hands and fiddling them together. "It's not that funny. It just came out of no where... I thought it was a bug or some scary lizard thing." In all honesty, she wasn't afraid of lizards or snakes, in fact, she really liked them. It was more on the fact that she didn't realize it was there that frightened her.

Charlie only shrugged. "I couldn't help it," he said and picked Paisley up. The blue and silver Scritch yawned and blinked from one to the other, tilting his head to one side. "Would you like to pet him? I haven't known him to bite anyone, so I think you're safe," he said, adding a small chuckle at the end.

Fully coming out from behind Charlie, she nudged him softly before watching him pick up the creature. She meeped lightly when he asked if she would like to pet him. She didn't mind that, it was his statement that he thought that she was safe from being bitten... the chuckle didn't help her feeling. Slowly, she reached out toward the small dragon, hoping it would be just like a pet lizard and not think her finger was a worm or something.
