"No need to be sorry, you've learned from your experience, that's good enough for me." He said with a gentle smile, he didn't want her to be sad because of him. She already seemed afraid to be away from camp, no need to add to her troubles.
In all reality, he couldn't live with himself if anybody was hurt, but as of now, Raza had become more important in his mind. He hated to admit that he was picking a favorite because of her beauty and kindness, or even that he might have a little thing for her, but he did. There could be no lying to yourself, you always got caught.
Eager to get the conversation on a happier tone, Angu decided to test his luck with Raza again, "You know, you have wonderful eyes, miss Raza." He said bashfully.

Barazahi turned to him again and smiled, more relaxed. Of course I do, she thought happily to herself. Just another comment to boost her ego, but this comment coming from him meant more to her than from anyone else. "Thank you Angusho," She said softly, leaning in just a tad closer. She knew how to make the males sweat if she wanted. Except, she didn't want to make him sweat like she did most. She only toyed with most in a self-pleasing way. She hoped that somehow he could enjoy this too. Something was going on here, though both were trying to hide it. She shook the thought from her mind, and ran with it. "You have beautiful eyes yourself." She wondered if anyone had ever told him that.

Angusho blinked a couple times and watched Raza as she leaned closer... It was a subtle change, but he noticed it all the same, and it made him exited. He didn't let it show, of course, but he deffinately wanted to keep the conversation going now more than ever.
"You are ever so welcome, Raza." He said softly, dropping the 'miss' from the front of her name. If Raza was going to be flirting with him, then being formal wasn't going to encourage her.
He was surprised when she returned the compliment, however, for he had never gotten one like that. It was always 'Angu you're so strong' or 'thank you for saving me Angu!' but never his eyes...
"Thank you, Raza, I appreciate it."

She smiled sweetly back at him. So he did want to continue down this path after all, she thought to herself. She picked up on the dropping of the miss, and how he didn't back up when she moved. She leaned in a little closer now, she would continue to do so until he backed off or showed other signs of discomfort. ((XD)) She was almost touching him now.
"You've never heard that before?" She asked, surprised. If one were ever to look, they wouldn't be able to help but notice. Other females probably always looked at his muscles rather than his eyes, which also were wonderful, but she found it rude to point that out this early.

I shouldn't... I REALLY shouldn't... Angu desperately thought to himself, but he couldn't resist. He leaned toward her, and his shoulder brushed hers gently.
"No, I've never heard that." He looked down into her eyes, "But hearing it from you, that's what really made it special." He said gently, knowing that he was going against nearly every one of his beliefs... But he didn't care, for once, his duty wasn't the most important thing in his life.

"You're a sweetie, Angu," Barazahi said, nuzzling her head under his and into his mane. It was a bold move, but Raza was good at pulling them off. She crossed her front paw closest to him over his own and swished her tail towards him, searching for his. What would mother think? she asked herself. Does it matter? ...Nope, she determined. She hadn't felt genuinely close to someone in a while; and never close to anyone she wasn't related to. It was a wonderful feeling.

Angusho had to resist letting a shiver of pleasure escape him, instead he contented himself with swishing his tail back, and gently leaning into her. He lifted the paw that wasn't already crossed up, and wrapped it around Raza's shoulders in a large hug of sorts.
"And you are a beautiful star, the brightest in the sky, calling to me." He whispered in her ear. The thoughts of his duty continued to nag at his mind, but he pushed them away, keeping his mind solely on the task at hand, as he usually did.

She reveled in the moment. For once, it wasn't entirely about her- but about him too. She was surprised she didn't get a crush on him earlier in life, despite being young. Even before now, since her adolescenthood... Why hadn't she noticed him. He was kind, sweet, strong, dedicated, and in her pride too! He was the perfect mate... WHAT?! She hadn't been expecting that to cross her mind, even though that's where this was headed. If not a mate, the perhaps a fling. She hoped not though, she enjoyed Angu's company. She would have moved her other paw like he had, but she feared losing her balance.

Angu now knew why he had always avoided love, it was too enjoyable, too difficult to pull ones self away from. He didn't care though, all that mattered now was Raza, the fact that she was younger than him didn't matter, nor that she was of royal descent where he was just a Shujaa sent to protect her parents and now, her.
He wasn't thinking straight, didn't care if this seemed rushed, he had a feeling that Raza felt the same way, "I think I have just fallen in love with you, Raza." He whispered in her ear again, "I never want to be apart from you..."
He was probably pushing it now, but again, his mind was clouded and only thoughts of her lingered within sight. Before it had gotten so intense, he would have been so afraid of what her parents would think, what the pride would think, but no longer.

"Wanna know a secret?" Raza said playfully, pulling away from him a little bit. She put a paw on the other side of his head and pulled him in close. "I think so too," she whispered back, smiling softly. She hadn't ever felt true love before, if this was it, (and she was sure it was.)
Raza was swept up in pure bliss, and excitedly told Angusho she loved him, which was a true statement. No matter how fast it happened, it was true. Her whole face was alit with new joy, and she affectionately snuggled herself back into his mane.

"Oh really?" He whispered with a small, playful laugh. "Well then it's not just me." He cuddled her gently, the only, tiny outside thought that peeked into his brain was the hope that the others wouldn't leave without them, or worse, stumble upon them.
"Should we be getting back? The others might be getting worried..." He sighed, lifting his head up and looking at her sadly. They both knew that they didn't want to stop being together, but it had to be done, for a time. Angusho had to protect the rest of them, after all. They could be together that night, in secret, if need be.

"I was just thinking the same thing," Raza said, her tone suddenly serious. She'd have to hide behind her flirtatious mask to cover up her true feelings about Angu. The same fear crept into her heart as well, the fear of her family finding them out. It wasn't an entirely bad thing, but it wasn't entirely good either...
"Angu," she said, getting up and facing camp. The question had to be asked, she needed to know now. She turned to face him, waiting up for him. "When will we... get together like this again?" A pleading look came to her face, she hoped he would say sometime soon.

"Of course, Raza." He said softly, getting up to start walking toward camp, "Tonight, you should see me near the camp, we can go somewhere private, nobody will need to know."
With that, he put his serious face on and started back toward camp. He was a terrible liar, but the odds of being asked about this were terribly small. The others hardly talked to him for pleasure anyway, only asking for an escort. He could keep this secret, so long as nobody found them out, and his conscience didn't get the better of him.
