Kai Ramiel 99% of the time, i think japanese dialogue is better. the voice actors fit the characters so well, and they put so much emotion into it. there's also alot of japanese speaking-only jokes or sayings that you just can't translate. one thing i like about anime is that it allows me to see the life of another culture, because it's designed only FOR that culture. there is no "overseas editing" and stuff. what your watching is intended for japanese people who are different than us. dubbing "americanizes" anime so it's easier for some to watch. every now and then though, a series comes across a little bit better in english. one of the only examples i can think of, is Ranma 1/2. it has so much flavor in the english version compared to the japanese. yep, totally agree with you (>^^<)

It depends what anime really. I don't think its better but int he beginning the dubs were really bad. Lately these days the dubs are better but I still rather stick to sub.
The english cast for Tsubasa has been released.... it's not coming out yet till May. I don't know about many voice actors for dubs but according to my friend (knows a lot about voice actors) says the cast is okay...

I really don't like dubbed anime, it feels like the dubbers take the "magic" out of the dialoge.

Im glad you asked...I hate dub...simple as that..the voices are always cheesy and there aren'y any good anime voice actors that speak english...plus I love it when japanese voices show emotion...way better than dub...I watched ranma in japanese and it was awesome...still looking for YuYu Hakusho subbed...and too bad happy lesson is only in english...

Widow-Of-D00m dubbed anime is great! if it isnt dubbed for tv >_> which means that it gets a complete PG rating makeover.... i perfer the cussing.. D : They don't 'curse' in Japanese anime...not as far as I know. A lot of that is just "dubbing make-up" by either the dubbing company or the subber to make the dialogue sound more interesting. It probably is done because some phrases in Japanese can be seriously insulting without swear words. Like, if they used the word aho instead of baka (which is a major insult) then they might say @$$ instead of idiot even though the words both translate to idiot. It deals with level of intensity.

A lot of the things they are say are just...emotionless and that makes it boring and sometimes stupid sounding.

sadly in my opinion....99.9% dubbed in English is horrible(Had heard too many times that they just find the wrong voice and wrong personality) I like the original jp more cause the voice actor did put a lot of emotion, and they make it very professional on the voice acting.Even though you may not understand of what they're talking you can still feel the character
While in English, sometimes they just messed with the script and the line too I couldn't believe that Kagome sweared,Inuyasha eps 7 when Shippou supposed to be intro himself while he just said "Thanks",and then later on the same eps Inuyasha can actually be able to called Shippou's name<---I am like...huh???=.=;; <---lol I was too frustrated about it that my mom just told me that if I dun like it then dun watch ^^||| Anyway, just my opinion of how I felt on the English dubbed

They've done well with One Piece despite how long it takes for ten to twelve episodes to come out at a time. It depends on the company that is dubbing the episode and if the show is mainstream.
