I beleive marriage is good, but in general, marriage is too concerned about worldly things to be truely meaningful. Too often people marry for looks or money. Other times, people spend too much time worrying about what they need from a relationship and not enough about what they can give.
I suggest prayer. I've been praying since I was little that the Lord would bring me to the man he wanted me to marry, and now I've found him. It was kind of like love at first sight, but more like love at first introduction because we both immediately loved everything about one another - looks, intelligence, humour, faith and everything else. We are designed for one another. We've been dating for nearly 7 monthes now and we plan to wed on our 2 year anniversary.

I'm divorced. I'm 26! But I still believe in marriage. You have to know yourself, marry a friend, and have passion and romance for marriage to work. And of course mutual belief!

I'm still thinking about it... I am still seeking answers. But oen thing about marriage that i don't agree with it getting a marriage lience and telling the law and or state you're married...If i were to marry i would marry under God's law not a law of a state... i wonder if this makes any sence sweatdrop

well you see, that was your parents, not everybody, my parents are divorced, but I know many people who are happily married. It may be a double-edged sword for some, but marriage is sacred and I wouldn't have it any other way.

Your parent's marriage is not necessarily what your marriage is going to be. You have to be careful not choose someone who exhibits certain qualities that can make a marriage hell (promiscuity, adultery, lying, cheating, stealing, etc, domination, childishness, etc.) and Most of ALL, don't lie to your self about these just to stay in a relationship, because they won't go away. A lot of people who look to get married choose to overlook bad qualities that will later come back to bite them in the a**, aka, my parents.

Alright, sorry if this gets lengthy.
First, I want to sugjest a book. Its written by a married couple. I forget who they are redface but it's a christian book so go to a chirstian book store. Its called "His perfect faithfulness" and it is about this couples relationship. Its really small but it is DEFINITLY worth it. Its one of those lifechangeing books.
Second, I have a personal expirence right now and my mom said it is a lot like a devoce. What is happening is that my best friend of 4 years who not just brought me to Christ but also stoped me from comitting suicide has come out and told me that I piss her off, make her depressed, and she doesn't want to see me ever again. To me it was very sudden, practicly overnight, but for her it has been monthes and monthes. I think marrage is like best friends. It will kill you to break it, but you started it for a reason.
Thirdly, My past relationships. I prayed to God for three years for me to find the right person for me, even though I was only in grade 9. Well, I thought I had found him. His name was Angus Cairne and I fell in love with him the second I saw him.... actualy the first time I saw him I was eather seeing a vision or hallusinating from dehidration.... so that's another thing that made me really think that he's the one for me. we OFFICIALY met face to face at a christian camp I go to... so it was a bonus. He was christian! We dated for nine monthes.... and in that time I started to see how much I really wasn't in love with him as I though. He started to talk to me about pegan Gods and Witchcraft and it was terring me away from God. So, after nine monthes, I broke the relationship off.... and that was extreamly hard. So, not wanting to screw things up again, I prayed to Jesus and told him "Ok, it I am going to do this right then I need you to find a way to tell me loud and clear that this is the guy you want me to date. Even if it isn't the guy you want me to marry, just date, then you really need to give me some big sign I couldn't possibly miss. So, if you want me to date him then he will be in a purple shirt when he tells me he likes me the first time. Cant miss it." So, I go on my marry way, with that in the back of my mind the whole time. My best friend introduses me to a guy named Chandler. She really liked him, and when I met him I really liked him too.... WORST POSSIBLE THING EVER!!! well, he liked me and after a week or two of torcher between me and my best frined and him getting cault up in it we were all on msn one night yelling at eachother and stuff, then he said he liked me and i told him I liked him, and this is getting confusing. Ok, end of story: he was wearing a purple shirt. Yeah! and see point two for the end of the story on the friend side. I don't know what way to turn, but im going for the bilboard sine that God gave....
