Yeah, character profiles (ala RP profiles) are completely optional - they aren't required or even really encouraged, since we're essentially RP'ing as ourselves (or our avatars) whenever we log in.

Sub-order profiles, as Weston noted, are what we really need.
And considering how much work went into the original profiles, I honestly wish we could find them again. crying

How's this:
Shrouded in the mists of far antiquity is an order of knights who protected members of the Societas Romu from harm wherever they might roam, and made fast their citadels with deadly force and unfailing acumen.
These knights, known as the paragon gaurd, were thought to have been destroyed for some time, but it is now known- at least to members of the society- that the gaurd now operates under the name Templar, and has been far from idle over the years.
The members of the Templar are sworn to poverty, moderation, and faith. They may not retain more than five thousand gold at any given time, and donate any excess above this amount to the poor. They may not drink to excess, partake of illicit drugs, or engage in relations which may interfere with their duties.
They are sealed to the orthodoxy of the church, and any Templar found guilty of heresy will be expelled from the order and given one week to reform or face a death warrant.
Templar are bound to accept any request for aid from another member of the society or a worthy member of the church at large. They must obey the commands of their charge except where those commands are not rational or in the best interest of all concerned.
The basic duties of the Templar are as follows:
1.The stewardship of sacred relics and texts, protecting them by force of arms or any other available means.
2. The protection of any worthy church member from all harms, by steel, by reason and by faith.
3. The preservation of the boundaries of the order and the holy land itself from the incursion of heretics, malicious aliens, and fools.
The proper discharge of these duties is the highest goal of any Templar life, and any price- up to and including death - is low in comparison to deriliction of any of them.

The Watcher-General shall be present. heart

I still need to hunt up the original sub-order descriptions. I think I have them hiding somewhere in my backups for my system.

I wrote something for the Scholars, since I guess that's what I am. I don't know if you'll like it though...

As long as there has been a church, there have been those who support it. Many serve to protect, by steel, by reason, or by faith. There are those who sustain not by weapons, but words. The Scholars of the Societa Romu. These are the ones who serve in the background, often not seen.
These learned men and women strive for enlightenment. For themselves, for others, for all. They seek with their knowledge to make Gaia a better place. Their posts are always to encourage intelligence, relevance, and logic. They are always to be well informed on what topics they converse, and not tolerate the misinformation that plagues the land.
The Scholars hold the belief that the Pen is mightier than the Sword, and their tongues are sharper than any weapon. Debates are their battlegrounds, and the ill-informed their enemies. In and above all things they uphold the doctrines of the Church. Heresy is not tolerated.
The duties of a scholar are as follows:
1. To study the doctrines and holy texts. Nothing is more important than knowledge. They will go to whatever lengths to find and record these. Above all, this information must be preserved, and any scholar worthy of the title will lay down their life for this cause.
2. To uphold the church in word and deed.
3. To bring intelligence and enlightenment to the forums of Gaia.

Westonian
Your Slayers stand ready, Superior-General. By the Grace of Mod, we will purify Gaia! By force if necessary!

*The young slayer-kitten stands ready behind her commander*
May it never be so. *salut*

The blonde kitsune tips her head. "So... wait. I'm confused. If I want to be the person who's not "BLARGHDIE!" and more of the sort who's like "Hm... not quite, hon. *editedit* There." Then where do I go? Cause... I'd really like to be something on the support end..."
