Kianga's breathing was heavy and her jaw hurt from holding on to the struggling animals leg. She didnt realize it untill the adrenaline wore off but her body hurt in the places the animal had kicked her.
The ampala stopped it's frantic attempts to get away when Haveo had sunk his teeth into it's neck, giving Kianga the opportunity to release her grip on the animal. She felt good about her capture even if it was somewhat pathetic, she stretched on her way back up to her full height, she had ended up crouched down with all her weigh shifted to her behind to keep the animal from getting too much power and taking her with it.
She returned Haveo's smile only breifly, she felt shy again especially when he told her she did well. She watched his chest rise and fall quickly, when she realized that he was kind of handsome. A blush rose to her cheeks and she turned her head away to look at the falling sun.
"how do i join?" she asked, it took her by suprise when he had asked. she had never been asked something so important but it made her nervous..she had never been in a pack before.
"do I have to do something to get in?..and- and what if I dont like it? " she spoke to the ground.

 The shock on her face was amusing and actually rather cute. The nervousness in her voice only added to her cuteness. After Ujuzi had her pups he was becoming more and more interested in becoming a father.
"It doesn't take much to join, we don't ask for you to do something special. Just that you can pull your weight and don't cause problems." Haveo was gentle, he was nervous about the proposal of joing the pack at first as well. At that time he too was hungry and thirsty.
"My pack has no settled territory, we wander around. If our pack doesn't hold what you seek for than we'll freely accept it." He himself had no intention of staying, well niether had Dafina but that male was still here. He was sure she'd enjoy it. So much time on her own...the feel of a family would be soothing to her soul.

"I dont think I would cause problems" she supressed a giggle, she wasnt the confrontational sort, she hardly ever even spoke her opinion. She certainly wouldnt be causing problems That's not something to be proud of, I wont even defend myself A loud sigh escaped her, though to anyone but herself it probably seemed out of place.
"I guess I can try it" she said nervously..pawing at the ground. "Do I have to ask your leader for permission?" Leader..now that was a new word to her, she had been her own person for so long, it would be weird at first to refer to someone as her leader. Maybe I will like to be in a pack, I wont have to be so alone all the time at the least.
She looked over Haveo once more, he looked stronger. She liked that he was in a pack, it told her a lot about his character. Since her father she hadnt much respect for the male gender, her dad was a coward who didnt give a damn about his family only wanted to knock up her mother and go. She blamed us for driving him away she thought bitterly.

Haveo smiled at her. He thought she wouldn't. Indigo orbs easily caught the slightly sadder expression but said nothing about it. He wouldn't bring up bad memories for her, he understood that feeling well enough.
"Yes, I do believe you'll have to ask Haiji about joining. And most likely Ujuzi, our second in command will be there too. Don't worry, my pack isn't harsh about these kinds of things. Though most likely our pack's going to move somewhere else. We've just stayed in the pridelands so Ujuzi could have her pups and let them grow enough for them to travel."
He wasn't one of the most talkative in the pack. He preferred being the big brother/father/uncle figure to them. ((I PM'd DDB about it so hopefully she'll answer soon~))

This feels right, joining a pack might be the best thing for me..maybe I could be a hunter like Haveo. She knew she was jumping the gun a little bit on that one, deep down she knew she probably didnt have what it takes to be a hunter, she certainly wasnt big in fact most strangers took her for an adolecent.
She had almost forgotten her thirst untill her eyes perceived Haveo swaying, she knew immediatly it was her mind playing tricks on her, it had nearly been 24 hours since she had her last drink in the jungle. She wasnt clear on what she was supposed to do. Do I go back to the jungle to sleep and come back in the morning to ask permission? She shook her head, she wouldnt worry about it now if she needed to she would sleep on the plains. What she needed now was water.
"Haveo, could I ask a favor of you?" She was laughing on the inside, that made it seem like it was much more important then it really was. "Could you tell me where I might find water? I'm a little thirsty"

Haveo chuckled as she mentioned water. He looked to the sky. He could easily carry the two bodies. He idly went over to the mostly eaten one, flipping it onto his back. Then going to the new kill, he got that one onto his back.
His strength had grown immensely from joining the pack, he was sure Kianga's would too. It's amazing how much you do in a pack but he loved it. He loved being busy, one of the main reasons he stayed a hunter. It was a responsibility was good for him to have.
"Alright, there's a little water hole near by. The lions rarely visit it since there's a larger one anyway." He moved in a direction opposite of where the sun fell. ((no prob :B))

"Do you need help?" she thought she would ask even if she knew she would be of no help. Still it was interesting to see him lug both the ampala.
"You could just point me in the right direction" Kianga suggested. She really didnt want to make him go to far out of his way, it was especially dangerous for him to be lugging around fresh kill everywhere. His mention of lions though made her fearful, so she was glad to have him come with her if that's what he wanted.
She had only met on lion in her lifetime it was an adolecent but still at least her size if not bigger. she was friendly enough but she knew all lions couldnt be friendly, especially this firekin Haveo had spoke of.

Haveo shook his head a negative. His back was used to having things on it. Like little pups who liked to play.
"I couldn't let you go off on your own. You have no idea where our pack is." He chuckled gently, slightly joking with the female. Not too far off lay the little spring. It was actually just a hole a few elephants dug up but it still functioned well the elephants didnt mind them as slong as they didn't both them.

She walked beside Haveo untill she spotted the watering hole he spoke of, before giving it a moments thought she ran ahead of him to the water. It was a nice spot, the water was a bit murky but she could still see the sky reflected off the surface.
Without further adieu she lapped up as much water as her stomach would allow her to take in. Her mouth was no longer dry and her thirst quenched, she never wanted to be that thirsty again it was not fun.
Kianga waded into the water when she was finnished drinking and went under, the cool water felt nice against her warm skin. She was still a little warm from the chase, not that she did most of the chasing but still she wasnt used to doing any sort of hunting. She came back up and swam back to the shore, water poured off her gleaming fur, when she shook it off it puffed her out making her look like a pouf.
((haha..pouf, sorry my inspiration is waning))

Haveo chuckled watching her enjoy the feel of the cool liquid. It was nice to knew she could swim, it was a sad fact that he...kind of couldn't. He could float! But not actually swim...Though it's said it came naturally. He didn't know, he wasn't a water kind of dog.
Haveo out right laughed seeing her fur poof up. Though his eye twinkled finally seeing the gemale fur fully clean. He himself had dried mud everywhere on him. He should jump in sooner or later, the mud was becoming itchy. He sighed, he had to take home the kills first. At elast she was enjoying herself. He couldn't wait to see her face when she realized what his family was like.
"Come now you silly fem. There's a hungry pack that wants to meet you."((Good new leBuns~! DDB totally approves of you joining us~!))

Kianga giggled under her breath, and wagged her tail. She loved the water, better yet she loved the clean feeling that she got after swimming even if she looked poufy when she shook off.
"You make it sound like I'm to be dinner" She immediatly went to work controlling the pouf, licking her fur downward so it would stay that way. She didnt want to meet more strangers looking so ridiculous as she knew she must. Oh no..more strangers she began to mentally hyperventilate, she totally forgot that being part of a pack would mean meeting them.. Suddenly all her self conciousness came back to hit her at once. She put her tail between her legs and took a deep breath.
"okay..I think I'm ready"

Haveo smiled and laughed. "We have enough bodies to feed the pack, I don't think yours is neccessary." He didn't joke around with others often, even those amongst he pack. He...was somewhat distant from the pack very content to just stick with the background.
His eyebrow raised up as she took on a submissive stance. He had taken one to but he saw how self consious she was. He went over to her and nuged her tail out a bit. "The key is to be nice, not submissive Kianga. You don't have to worry, I'm going with you." He smiled gnetly and gave her a little nudge. He quickly moved ahead to lead the way. He hoped she would enjoy it.
