Wahabu was not too surprised to hear his intial thoughts on the feather Inari wore were correct. Neither had been willing to admit they knew gods- Wahabu knew his reason, but why would Inari keep it a secret? He gave the young lion a calculating look, wondering if they had similar reasons. He tossed the idea aside, it'd be too strange to meet up with someone in the same situation as him.
"The god mine came from is one of my best friends," he said proudly, happy not only because he was that close to a god but because he was happy to have good friends at all, "Why do you need to be stronger before you see that god again? That doesn't sound too friendly, unless you like.. made a bet or something." Wahabu stopped to ponder this for a moment before looking back to Inari, "Like I said, I know a couple. Three to be exact."
It was so tempting to say he was part god, but that might be saying too much. He didn't need to brag, and he normally didn't want to but they were on topic.

Inari smiled and flicked his tail, "Yes, having a god as a friend is great isn't it? You know that someday if you needed help, they may come and help you," Inari said with a nod. He was so proud of the fact that he knew a god, more so Mrost, who was a god of strength and wisdom. The god that would help him become a warrior.
"I have to get stronger because my friend will help me become a warrior," he said with a nod, "I want to become stronger, become something incredible to have my parents be so proud of me," he just wanted his parents to look at Inari with pride and not just that he was their son.
"Three? Wow, your lucky." Inari said with a laugh. He'd so love to meet more gods.

"Having any friends is great, though if you need certain kinds of help gods are certainly more intimidating," he chuckled, recalling his plans for if Kilango ever tried to kill him again. Part of him felt that he should defend himself if it came to that, but.. it seemed safer to get help. Wahabu certainly was not like Inari in that respect.
"You don't need to be strong to have your parents be really proud of you, do you?" he asked, tilting his head. If you needed that, then certainly he was the grandest disappointment and Kilango was a source of great pride- and to him that view was most certainly skewed. He shook his head to show his distaste for the idea in his case, "Maybe.."

"Well..I guess not but..." Inari said, then trying to figure out how to explain to Wahabu why he wanted to become a warrior, a strong warrior someday. "One of my friends, wants to grow up and do something great, I figure, if I can grow up, and do something great or become something great, my parents can look at me with more pride," he said with a nod.
Yes, hopefully that explained it.
He flicked his tail and looked towards the sky, no, nothing today. Mrost wasn't nearby he guessed, "Does your friend visit you often? Maybe next time he comes to visit, can I meet him?" Inari asked with a smile, he figured, the more gods you knew, the better it would be.

Wahabu looked at Inari intently as he tried to explain his need to become stronger, his desire to give his parents a great reason to be proud of him- more proud of him. Such thoughts had never occured to the young lion, he'd always just figured they were proud of him no matter what he did. He would certainly not be able to do anything great strength-wise. Was there something else he should be trying to do?
"I guess," he agreed reluctantly, "I never really thought about it."
Thoughtfully, he took looked to the sky when Inari did so- though he did not expect to see anyone. He looked back when Inari asked to meet his god-friend, and grinned inwardly at the idea. K'Anatak would certainly have a great line-up of his friends waiting to meet him!
"I don't know, I'll have to ask him," Wahabu replied with a sage nod. He would never promise away a god's time without asking, and he felt his first obligation would be to Kubwa, if anyone. Maybe K'A would really like to meet his friends, that would certainly be a lot of fun!

Inari flicked his tail, smiled, hoping that he could meet Wahabu's friend, would be nice. Inari wasn't sure however if Mrost would ever want to meet one of his friends. Hmm, perhaps something he could ask him next time? His golden eyes set on the sky again, if only he were a god, he could fly amongst the clouds, perhaps then be a source of pride for his parents.
Thats what he wanted...
He wanted to feel something...be something, he didn't want to grow old and be nothing and become numb... he just wanted to prove something to his family, but most of all to himself. "I hope I can, would be nice, perhaps he could give me advice or something."

Wahabu beamed, intent upon asking K'A if he'd like to meet his friends. He kept running into gods and those who were interested in them, it was kind of funny. He took a moment to laugh inwardly at that realization, it seemed to him now that gods were more involved in the world than he'd expected.
"He's really nice, but I can't make any promises," he replied brightly, "He's really good at being helpful. Are you interested in getting a lot of opinions from gods?"

Inari nodded. "Of course I am, I like getting advice from others, to try and better myself," Inari nodded and smiled. Yes, perhaps this god friend of Wahabu could give him some good advice as well. He might even get another feather from a god, how exciting would that be? Perhaps he could collect god feathers, it would be a fun collection to try and complete.
"Perhaps he may even be one of my friends one day as well," Inari said, hoping it could be so.

"Ah, that makes sense, I guess," Wahabu commented. If Inari wanted to be great, Wahabu agreed a good place to look for advice was from gods! He certainly had a high opinion of them himself. "Maybe, I don't see why he wouldn't want more friends. It's always good to have friends." The yellow lion beamed, quite pleased. It seemed he'd made a new friend, and that was fantasitc!

Inari tilted his head, peered at Wahabu, smile still on his maw, "Do you have any idea when he might come back like...does he come back after certain amounts of time or...do you call him?" Inari was curious, wanted to meet another god ever so badly.
Maybe he should start up a collection of god and goddess feathers.

"I don't know, he usually just comes back randomly," he answered honestly, "Convenient times, sometimes actually! He said I could call him if I needed him, though." Wahabu looked thoughtfully at the sky, wondering if K'A was anywhere nearby- it'd be strange if he just showed up now, wouldn't it?

"Randomly? Well, thats okay, my god friend I usually see when I go searching for him," Inari said with a nod, puffing his chest a bit. Yes, he was so proud to know Mrost, Mrost was so awesome in Inari's mind. He flicked his tail and looked to the sky, it didn't seem like either of their friends was coming now. Plus, he was getting a bit hungry, perhaps he should go and catch some fish. He could meet up with Wahabu soon.
"I'm getting a bit hungry Wahabu, do you think we could meet up again soon? I'd really like it if we could..."

"Yeah, the first time we met we just kind of .. ran into each other, and the second time he found me," Wahabu explained with a nod, also quite pleased to have a friend like K'Anatak, though not just because he was a god. He looked back down to Inari, deciding that no one was going to show up from up there.
"Ok," he agreed, "I'd like seeing you again, too."

"Right then," Inari said with a grin, he was glad to have met Wahabu now, he knew a god, Inari knew a god, it was all good. Inari doubted he could've met a better lion today, no sir, Wahabu was now his new friend, and hopefully, Inari could see him often.
Inari turned and started to pad away, stopped to look back, wave, and then he dashed off to find a good fishing spot.
Today was a good day.

Wahabu felt about the same, he couldn't have had more fun with that conversation and meeting- and now he had another friend! He watched Inari dash away, and then looked around to decide what he would do now~
