"Ah." Leboya said, nodding her head as the green lioness explained her own being there at the beach, the single phrase being a mere interruption in her humming. It was a rather simple tune, to say, but Leboya loved it. She and her sister had hummed it as children, and she'd passed it on as a lullaby to her own young-ones as well.

"The ocean has a call that will lull you into staying. I'd have to say I agree." the brightly colored lioness chimed in reply, smiling over one shoulder, then nodding her head to one side, heading to walk off of the beach and into the grass.

"I'd suggest you don't try to drink from where the ocean and the river first meet. The water there is salty." she explained, then added "As well, it's rather turbulant and violent. I have to take care it doesn't sweep my little ones away, see?"

Leboya seemed to explain everything in reference to being a mother, not on what it could do to herself. Then again, that was one way her mind had changed with their little appearance.

"But wandering on or no, you're welcome to stay."

Yes, the ocean did have a gentle called that begged her to stay much more than any other place she had ever visited, and Muujiza nodded her head slowly, lost in thoughts of the beach and the white-headed waves gently sliding onto the sand. She barely noticed and she turned and followed Leboya off the sandy beach and onto the grass, and it wasn't until they were some distance from the beach that she finally did realize they were now striding through the grass, swayed by the wind.

"But the river isn't awfully fast, is it?" She asked suddenly. After hearing what could happen to cubs, she wondered if at any time the river's current would be swift enough to sweep a grown lion off their paws. She had a deathly fear of being surrounded by water. It was simply one of those things. She believed that drowning was the most horrible way to leave the beauty of the Earth and the miracles of life that blossomed each day in the savannah.

"Depends on where you catch it." Leboya replied casually, finally finding a place along the bend of the water to take a seat at, looking over the edge of the water at her own reflection. She seemed to admire her own appearance for a moment, before looking to Muujiza.

"There are places where you'd hardly think it to be moving, while in other places, you avoid it like the plague for only the sake of common sense."

The red-eyed lioness thought about this for a moment, before nodding her head and saying:

"I guess it'd safe to say that you can't truly trust anything. No matter what, it'll go out of control at some point, though to what extent you never know. The river is a testament to life itself. It cuts through obstacles, has it's own bends and turns, and does, generally, as it pleases."

Well that was true. Muujiza thought of the rivers and how each year they seemed wider, longer. She thought of how the water snaked through the land, both the giver and taker of lives at the same time. "That's true," The green lioness nodded her head in agreement. The rivers did do as it pleased, and now that she thought about it, none had more control over life than nature, although nature in itself was controlled by the life that it held within it.

"Except that nobody ever tries to keep it from doing what it will," She added after some thought, more murmuring to herself to contemplate than anything.

Leboya considered this suggestion for a moment. It was a very good point. "That's true, from my own knowledge." she replied, pausing, finally, to dip her paw into the river, before leaping into the 'knee deep' (on her, at least..) water with all of her feet.

It was strange to her how she could still enjoy such things. Perhaps she hadn't fully grown up, or maybe it wasn't so stereotypical to place in the water as it was categorized to be all the time.

Looking to her companion, the jellyfish-marked lioness grinned, almost as if she was plotting something, before swatting her paw to splash the green lioness. If Muujiza was going to live by the water, she'd have to get used to the water sooner or later!

This way was just funner for Leboya.

Muujiza watched, holding back as Leboya sloshed into the water. She peered eagerly at the slowly flowing river. Ah, the sounds of water played like windchimes against her ears. She lost herself in the gentle swirl of the current, and didn't quite notice her companion grinning mischievously, and didn't realize anything until...

Water flew and before she knew it, her entire front was soaked. She blinked in disbelief. Oh, that was cold! But in a land so warm as this, she could hardly say it was cold. It was... she searched for a word... Refreshing. Yes that was what it was. She leapt forward, her front paws plunging into the water at an angle so that it resulted in a giant splash toward Leboya.

Leboya grinned, tail flicking back and forth like a child's would have. She raised a leg to try and 'shield' herself (a horrible shield..) from the oncoming splash, but instead got completely soaked. So she started to bound about in the water, part of her fur dripping hopelessly everywhere, while she used a paw to return the splash to the female who'd returned the siege she'd started.

She was laughing, enjoying all the play that came with being away from her mother role. Afterall, her children weren't allowed to know their mother had play bottled up in her, or else she'd never get time to sleep.

Leboya would have to pass that message on later, she decided.

For now, the splash war would continue.

Muujiza grinned as the second splash flew toward her and felt the wonderful cool splash of water against her fur. She bounded forward (Or at least, as well as the water let her) toward her brightly colored companion. She loved the way the water splashed out from under her paws as she sloshed through its gentle current. Her paw lifted as she sent another slashing Leboya's way, and leapt back in a futile attempt to avoid any retaliation.

Leboya leaned back a bit, holding another paw up to shield herself, hopelessly, against the water that was being splashed in her face. She laughed, dropping another paw into the water, before using it to return the splashing to the green lioness once again.

Muujiza had moved away from her enough that her splash barely got her, however, so Leboya was up again and bounded forward to splash again, hopefully to a better end.

The green lioness laughed at the prickle of water drops on her face, moving back as Leboya bounded forward again. And then suddenly, an idea struck her. She dropped down into a crouch so that most of her body was covered by the water and crept forward toward Leboya. She raised her head at the last moment, water dripping from her face, and grinned. "I'm too wet to get splashed!" She announced, her voice filled with childish glee.

Pause.

After getting a bit of water in the face due to the sudden movement of the other lioness from the water, Leboya stopped in her tracks and seemed to consider this defense, 'hmmm'ing to herself a bit, before frowning sadly. "... Darn. The only sheild that works in the world of water wars.." she said, 'tsk'ing a bit at the end.

"You win this time!" she decreed, bumping shoulders with the green lioness, before turning to step out of the creek, shaking her bright fur out as she moved, before sitting down to set the mussed mess back into place.

"Think we should start heading back?" Leboya inquired, looking over one shoulder to Muujiza when asking, then looking back towards the direction of the beach.

Muujiza nodded sagely, the look on her face so somber it was almost comical as she followed Leobya onto the bank and gave her fur a good shake. The water flew everywhere and she was rewarded with the barely audible plonk of water against water as droplets landed back into the river. She grinned as she shook out her tail and turned to smooth down the fur on her shoulder. It was all sticking up all over the place!

She looked up at Leboya's question and looked out over at the beach as well with a slight nod. "I guess we should," She agreed, standing up. She'd have to resist the urge to lounge out on the beach. She didn't quite fancy the thought of sand sticking to her wet fur.

"It would do us no good to waste the day out here and end up making a search party to look for us." Leboya said in jest, shaking her fur out again, before rising to her paws, turning one glance up towards the sky, out of habit of looking for the estimated time of day, then a look to Muujiza.

"We should move along, then."

She waited for a moment for the other lioness to join her, before turning her attention towards the ocean they'd both come from, it's waters expanding out and forever, it seemed. Leboya smiled a bit as she walked along, a bit of a spring in her step.

How hard it was to be a child in the company of children....

And now it was to the same children she was to return to, in company of a new friend.
