Jareth sighed again, he really wasn't in the mood for this. "Well it certainly is mindless." he mumbled, there was warmth of sorts in the comment, although it was very hard to spot.
"Might I see where you're staying now?" he enquired after a rather long pause. On the inside he had a bit of a soft spot for the unigon, and didn't wish him any real harm or unhappiness. If the conditions Macy was living in were unsuitable he'd have to make some changes.

Macy smiled and stayed quiet, his gaze flicking around as he studied the plantlife. When Jareth expressed interest in his accomodation he nodded, leading Jareth out of the forest--which was behind a block of apartments-- and down the street. Which was quiet due to most people being at work, Macy walked everywhere as he hated Cars.
"I live in an apartment above Nishi's club" he said, walking up to the building in question and opening the club door. There was a note tacked to the wall from Nishi, saying he would be back at opening, Macy glanced at it before leading Jareth through the quiet bar and across the dancefloor to go up to the VIP area. He opened the swing doors to the kitchen and turned to go up a staircase and into the carpetted hallway.
He slid his shoes off and placing them in the shoe rack he walked across the hall and opened a door that lead into the living room. "this is my home" he said monotoniously.

Jareth smiled "Only for the time being." he replied gently. The apartment was actually a lot nicer than he expected. Although is was small it looked fairly comfortable, although he could imagine the noise from the nightclub below being a problem.

Macy nodded at Jareth's comment and entered the living room, walking through to the kitchen to check for notes and grab a drink.
"the apartment is soundproofed in case you're wondering, would you like a drink?" he called from the kitchen, studying a note from Alexi as he drank from a bottle of spring water. Tap water upset his stomach and he didn't really favour fizzy drinks or much junk food.

"Ah, ingenious." said the Goblin King with a nod. "And I'll have some tea thank you, no milk no sugar." he never understood why people put milk in boiling water, it all seemed rather disgusting to him but he also found herbal teas very appealing. He eyed Macy from the other end of the kitchen. "And is the food here to your liking?" he asked in an attempt to make small talk.

"fine, the food is rather...disgusting....all of it is 'processed' or something" Macy answered, flicking the kettle switch to let the water boil. He searched through Nishi's cupboards, certain he had brought some Mint Flavoured tea a few days ago, finding the packet he held it up for Jareth to see.
"would you like this? he asked, wandering how Jareth always amanged to pin him under his thumb.

"That looks fine, thank you" said the Goblin King with a quiet laugh. "I seem to recall that you were always rather fussy back home, some things never change, although you look like you're coping well."

Macy plopped the teabag into a mug and when the water boiled he poured it into the mug, letting the bag stew as he fetched another bottle of chilled water for himself.
"well, most of the stuff was disgusting, well I meainly stay in here...the air outside is too disgusting" he muttered, taking the teabag out and dumping it in the bin. He picked the mug up and handed it to the Goblin King.

Jareth smiled graciously and took a careful sip from the mug.
"It can't be that bad, surely." he replied, a small smirk upon his lips. "Better than the dampness of the castle I bet."

Macy sighed and popping the cap of the lid of the bottle of water, he took a sit and pulled himself into a sitting on the counter. " I just...want to go home sometimes....." he murmured, staring at his bottle intensely. He sighed and leaned his head back against a cupboard.
"you're an evil idiot Jareth, the Goblin King"

"I let you cone home on holidays." Jareth protested, although there was no pleasing the Unigon so it was a tired and halfhearted protest as he sipped his tea. "When you're with me you want to leave and when you're away you want to come back. It hurts me to see you so unhappy but unless you can miraculously figure out what does make you happy then I'm afraid I can't help. Just think about that before you resort to petty and meaningless insults."

"i'm lonely both here and at home! Caspian is now a good friend of mine...can't he come to court more often? and actually feel invited and can't I visit him on his ship? and why should you feel hurt? you made it clear im only a subject and I dont know many kings who care so much about a subject that they get hurt just what do you think of me Jareth?" Macy asked, his gaze sliding to rest on Jareth. He was still sat on the counter, his shoulders and head leaning back agaisnt the hanging cupboard.

"Caspian? When did that happen?" said Jareth looking slightly startled and also relieved that he wouldn't have to explain his feelings if he managed to deviate from the question. Although in all fairness and though he would never ever ever admit it out loud, he trusted the Pirate King with his rare ward a lot more than any other courtier he knew. "And I'm afraid I have no control over how often Lord Aurelius is in court. He comes and goes as he pleases and I very much doubt that my invitation would change anything in his behaviour." he smiled briefly, it sounded like an interesting friendship indeed. "But if he comes to visit you, then I see no problems."

Macy let out a held breath. "well i've talked to him a couple of times once with Nishi and once at a ball and we've got alot in common" Macy answered, his voice somewhat softer than his usual gruff tone.
He jumped down from where he was seated and chuckled. "he's invited me aboard his ship, I was just passing it by you so you won't see it as kidnap" Macy smirked "because, as you keep saying i'm rare"

Jareth shrugged slightly, he felt slightly jealous that his estranged relative had managed to accheive a friendship with the Unigon, while all he had gotten so far was a grudgingly civil conversation or two. not to mention the fact that he had alway secretly envied Caspian's freedom to go anywhere he wanted without paying attention to the consequences. He had never managed this, consequences always wanted to come back and bite him in the royal backside. Like Macy for instance, he had promised his mother, one of his few close friends, that he would care for her child and the consequence of that was that he had become overly attached to the unigon, as much as his withdrawn self could manage, only to be resented by the one he had cared for as his own.
"If that is what you want." he relented, none too happily. "Just don't let him talk you into anything. And don't let him get drunk, he likes to hunt for non-existent treasure when he's drunk." he spoke from numerous experiences.
