The question startled her. She had expected to be lectured, yelled at... but not helped. She'd always had to help herself... and had, indeed, spent a lot of her time helping her family too.
Tara regarded the lion in front of her with wide eyes. No one had ever asked her that before. And although she'd thought she knew what would make her happy, now she wasn't so sure. Bitterly, she wished her mother did hate her - it would be easier than this agony.
But she did know one thing.
"I want..." She looked away and swallowed. "I want some time alone. Away from here."
She didn't know if it would make her happy. She didn't know if anything could, if she left her mother behind bereft and alone again. But... maybe it would give her the strength to return again someday and face what she'd left behind.
"Please, tell Has-" She swallowed. "Tell Momma I love her."

Banji said not a word, merely watched. Perhaps it would've been better if he'd never came here. He had thought Hasana would hate him for what he had done, but for so long now she'd been molding her daughter into him by force without even realizing.
He had always been thankful of his quiet life, but he realized now what a tragedy this family truly was...
----
"AND YOU JUST LET HER GO?!" Banji had seen his sisters temper and faced her wrath himself, but this was completely different. Hasana was hysterical, panicing, pacing back and forth with eyes that were unfocused and quivering, barely breathing and doing so in short, quick gasps.
"Hasana-"
"SHUT UP!" the lioness snapped, snarling fiercely enough to make even him startle. "WHAT DID YOU TELL HER?! YOU HAVE TO TAKE EVERYTHING FROM ME!" Left and right, left and right. The male twin winced and watched as she continued her pacing. When it seemed to slow, a signal she was at least slightly more calm, he tried again.
"Sister-"
"I TOLD YOU TO SHUT UP YOU b*****d!" It was too much. Hasana couldn't take it. She asked if she hated her, and Tara had said no. But now she was gone? It made no sense! What had she done wrong this time? Should she be a mother at all. --No, no she shouldn't. They weren't safe with her. What horrible things was she doing to the rest of them without realizing?
The thoughts flew through her mind so rapidly it seemed as though another voice had entered her head to help keep up. This did not go unnoticed by Banji, who kept quiet for the time being. Nor did it go unnoticed by the spoltchy, black and white young lioness only a few feet away.
Banji said nothing of her presence, but Mother... Mother didn't even seem to notice she was there. She couldn't even see her. Couldn't see anything. She was losing it.
Ohahira's teeth grinded together, and even though Banji dared to take his eyes off her mother, she still didn't notice just how loud and viciously she was growling. Her perfect family... Her mother, her sisters, her life... Ruined by some runaway? After all of that?
I hate you, Tarajia.
"I hate you for doing this!"
