Suyi didn't seem to think anything of what he had said, far too focused on the water that was dancing around Demyx now. "Goodness... that's lovely," he murmured finally, smiling brightly up at the other and waving his tails around excitedly.
"One of my brothers can do something like that, as far as I know. I'm not sure about my other two siblings, 'cause I've never really met them. But I inherited my... other father's ability. I can control fire as you can control water... scares me to scrambling sometimes, though." His smile faltered, becoming a bit ashamed and rather sheepish.

Demyx finished his humming, and the water droplets slowly shifted back to their original state. With a wave of his paw the droplets floated back over to drop back into the river where they belonged.
"Thanks! And...you can control fire? I know another Kitsu that can control fire, but yeah...it is a bit frightening. Dunno if it's cause I'm the water loving one and it just comes naturally or what. That's gotta be weird though, being afraid of the thing you can control...er, not that I'm saying you're weird or anything!"
The blonde shifted, not wanting to insult his new friend so quickly.
"It's just...I can't imagine being afraid to use my own power...do you do the fire thing a lot, or just avoid it?"

Suyi watched with a smile on his lips as the water was sent away, before looking to his new friend once more and looking thoughtful.
"I use it more often than I would originally imagine," he murmured, tilting his head. "But I put it off until I feel the urge to try and face it again, to see if I can belt down my fear, y'know?"
A light shrug, before he laughed softly, trying to lighten the mood. "I'm just a bit of a wimp, is all. It's really not that bad."
Gesturing slowly, he traced his paw through the air, sparks following it at first, then, as he trailed it back in the opposite direction, fire flowing through the air.

"That makes sense...I'm sure one day you'll be perfectly comfortable with it."
Ears perked slightly as Suyi went about with his light show. Demyx was certainly frightened at first, but the blonde forced himself to quickly calm down. The other was just showing off his ability, nothing more. Besides, it was rather pretty to watch, and at least it was on a rather small scale. Axel seemed to like fire on a much larger scale.
"That's pretty neat!'
Green eyes focused intently on first the sparks, and eventually the flames that followed them. Despite initial fear of it, Demyx was rather appreciative of the skill.

Suyi finished and shook out his paw, something of a shudder going through him as he shifted where he sat. "
I suppose... it still unnerves me more than it should to use it," he said softly, flashing a crooked smile at Demyx. It seems he felt the same fear that Demyx felt, even though it was his own talent and not someone else's.
"I'm sure I'll get used to it though, like you said. I just have to keep practicing. I can do things on larger scales... but only once in a great while, before I have to build up my confidence to do it again." A pause. "What about you, Demyx...? What all can you do? And how long did it take you to learn how to do it...?"

"It'll be real useful when you master it, huh? Then if you got nervous around others you could probably scare em off with some fire."
Demyx laughed a bit, his return smile rather bright and happy.
"I'm...not really sure just how much I can do. From what I've tried, I can manipulate the water around me, like making those droplets dance in the air. I can also, if need be, summon water even when away from a source of it. That's really hard to do though so I avoid it."
Indeed, summoning water out of thin air was a pretty taxing feat. The resulting energy loss usually put him at the mercy of the other.
"I know I can use it to help fight, like blast things away....but I prefer not to. I'll do it if I have to though, ya know? As for how long...it took quite a long time. I know I was 'born' with the ability, but getting familiar with it to a point of being able to do it without flooding the area took some time. I'm still learning actually, though I think I'll always be doing that."
Heh, born. Was it even right to call it that? The creation of a Nobody, merely a fragment left behind of what was once a whole being... Demyx shook the thought away. It wasn't a very nice thought to dwell on anyway.

"It must have been difficult... I can imagine that water is even more difficult to control than fire would ever be," murmured Suyi, cocking his head slightly and looking thoughtful. "It seems like it would be... slippery, if that doesn't sound too strange."
He flashed a smile at his new friend, laughing softly and definitely feeling far more comfortable with Demyx than he had when they had first bumped into each other. That usually didn't happen...

"It doesn't sound strange at all! Being a fluid, it's a bit difficult to contain. But once you get the hang of it that flowing nature can be quite handy. I'm sure fire isn't so easy either, since they can easily burn out of control...erm..not to scare ya or anything."
Demyx seemed just as happy with the situation. It wasn't too often he had a nice conversation with someone. The Organization was usually far too busy with it's plans or tormenting each other to bother holding a decent conversation with the local water boy. This was certainly a nice surprise for the day.

It was a relief for Suyi, who just didn't feel the urge to speak to anyone for this long of a time. He laughed quietly at what the other said, nodding slightly and smiling at him. "Don't worry. I understand what you mean. And it has happened, which is why I'm so inclined to be spooked by it. Too many times have I singed myself or worse, and it's something of an embarrassment, given that one of my father's is a rather fine Firebender. A prince, at that."

"I can see how it'd be embarrassing..."
Indeed, he wondered why the Organization let him stick around anyway. It always seemed like they had cooler powers, and better control over them.
"Your father is a prince? That's pretty neat! Don't let it get you down though, I'm sure he didn't pick it up immediately either."
Demyx had slipped into the goofy grin that so easily came with his nature. This...this was a great feeling. Even if somehow he knew he wasn't truely -feeling- it.
"Maybe one day you'll even be better than him. That'd be fun to work towards."

Suyi laughed and shrugged lightly. "Maybe. I'm just not sure if I'd be willing to take a step above him, y'know? I don't want to be seen as better than my father, because... well, the first born should be that, no? And I'm not. I'm third born... sort of. Since we were all born at the same time, just... well, you get the idea."
A goofy smile of his own appeared on his lips; there was juts something about the way that Demyx relaxed with him that caused him to relax rather easily as well. He quite liked it , to be honest. "What about you? Do you have anyone you aspire to match up with, or something like that?"

"I erm...guess...that's true?"
Demyx couldn't remember much about his family. He guessed he had to have one, but there wasn't a single thing he could remember about them. So he really didn't have a grasp on the concept of first borns and things like that.
Aspiring though...that he knew about.
"Er...kinda? I'm in this group....and everyone in it seems so much....stronger? I'd love to prove to them one day I can be strong too..."
For a moment Demyx's gaze seemed distant, the blonde deep in thought. Within seconds he had shaken it back off and was back to his grin.
"I suppose I will one day. I'll just have to work hard."

Suyi was intrigued by what Demyx said. He was in a group, but there was no family that he looked up to? Despite his curiosity, he didn't press, chirping softly and perking his ears.
"I'm sure you'll be able to get stronger. After all, all one can do is improve, really, so long as you're trying... besides, you seem to be rather strong already, controlling the water by just humming."

"It's easier with the humming really. I think music goes along with the natural flow of water."
Demyx chose to focus more on that then the idea of being strong already. It probably wouldn't be good to mention that others in his group held powers involving everything from fire to the moon. Though, despite not responding to it verbally, Demyx still smiled at the idea of being powerful.

"Perhaps, yes," murmured Suyi, dipping a paw into the water once more and purring softly, before looking up at Demyx again. "Would you like to go for a swim? It sounds like it would be nice to me."
