JoVo, you're a little harsh? =\

Matiko, just because you have different views, doesn't mean you should jump into another person's thread and critisze them. It's like hoping into a furry fandom thread and going "FURRIES SUCK!" Just not a good move.

JoVo, when talking about the marketplace, I was only talking about store-bought items. I didn't mention rares because I figured you knew how to deal with those(which now I have confirmed that you do).

As for buying then selling store items, why bother keeping it if you're not going to wear it? It's only hindering your income rate...

THIS IS A GAME! YOU'RE NOT SUPPOSED TO ANALYZE! YOU can't HONESTLY apply Real Life lifestyles, policies, forums, etc, to a GAME. It takes out the fun. It makes it boring and pointless.

Gaia was developed for people who liked anime/manga, and to give them a chance to live in a world like that. NOT to analyze how the Gaian Staff allow us to buy donation letters from people that donate to Gaia to keep it running. Our point on being here is to *have fun*. Not become political/financial analysts, and confusing the majority of Gaia with matters that aren't even theirs to understand, let alone vote on.

I think everyone's taking things a little far...

I think you need to get out of this thread. Start one on fashion or something. Let us enjoy our game the way we like.

*shows you the door*

Oh piss off. You're just upset that you know I'm right. I think it's ridiculous you're dragging a game down. Unfortunately this thread doesn't violate any rules, so I can't get it shut down. But you can't throw me out of this thread because I don't agree with you, and tell you honestly that I think you're going too far with a bloody game.

Q: I'll go where I want, and I'll say what I want. And if I think you and JoVo are taking a game too far, by applying a financial analytical aspect to a game. I don't think this is what Gaia was meant for.

I thought everyone was doing fine. Why shouldn't it be analyzed. If JoVo's having fun with it, I'm learning from it, and Q gets to flaunt his intelligence, sounds like everyone's enjoying themselves but you.

It's as you said. Don't like furries? Don't join a furry forum. Don't like Jews? Don't crash a kibbutz. It's common sense, really. Enjoy your personal freedoms? Don't vote Bush. It's common sense, really.

Ah. But yeah, with regard to store-bought items, this is all good stuff you've posted. Thanks, Q! I actually do have several items I'd like to sell, and your ideas will definitely help me to make a profit. I'll also have to consider a signature service or something. Drawing service? I have a scanner, so it might work.

*thinks about how to make more money*

I know! But I... I... I'm a shop-aholic. crying

Are you always this mean and nasty? I swear, every post I see from you is snide. In my own, incredibly uninformed opinion, you're the one ruining "the game" right now. Chill out, man. If you don't have anything nice to say, zip and find something else to do.

Again, just because you don't think gaia was meant for it, doesn't mean we can't take it the way we are taking it.

If we want to play this game our way, we can. And when we make a thread about playing our way, it is not only rude, but also inconsiderate for someone who doesn't like playing our way to burst in and call us crazy.

JoVo: Doesn't matter much if you're a shop-aholic. Just don't be a pack rat. 3nodding

I'm enjoying myself just fine. I just don't see the point of analyzing and complaing about things that don't really exist to begin with. It spoils the fun of collecting these items.

I for one plan on buying donation letters whenever I can afford them. If it damages Jovo's appreciation time for his items, so be it. Since he wants to make Gaia into RL, he can deal with it.

I don't see how you bursting in this thread and saying we're asses will stop us from anything aside from flaming you the same way you're flaming us.

You're just upset that you know I'm right.

No one thinks you're right. We all think you're annoying and effeminate. We also think you have the mental capacities of a nine-year-old. But it's things we don't say because we don't want to be mean. Until you get me to this point. Then I have to be honest, and I feared you wouldn't appreciate it.

Matiko-san
I think it's ridiculous you're dragging a game down.

It's unfortunate that you think anything you don't like cannot possibly be fun for others. The irony is that the same train of thought is employed by fundamentalists when they try to deny gays their civil rights.

Matiko-san

Oh good. I'm glad that denigrating the quality of the game is not a TOS violation.

Your choice, but you're bound to cause yourself and others much more heartache because of it.

Perhaps not, but neither did the founding fathers who drafted the Constitution intend for the slaves to go free. I suppose change ain't all bad.

Actually, I wasn't flaming anyone. If you re-read my first post, you'll see I was only trying to understand the point of this thread.

It was actually you and JoVo that started the flaming first. I only continued and finished what you both started. So please, keep your facts straight.

So much unneeded (funny word, unneeded) drama. gonk Gaia is a place to come to relax and get away from the real world. Chill out guys, it's not a big deal.

So anywho, these price changes are ticking me off. All the old rare things are going cheaper, and new things higher. I paid 35k for this Jack's Despair, and now they sell for 20k. gonk stressed I've seen people offering Angelic Scarfs for those labcoats. Which is just insane. Well, to me, at least.

Your first post was not exactly polite, Matiko. You sort of insulted everyone. You can't expect people to just deal with that.

You don't seem to want to understand anything. You're just acting all high and mighty in front of us.

Are you serious?

I better cancel all my trades then. I'm only getting a one jack item - one shirt or labcoat ratio over here, in most cases.

The prices are fluctuating so much... gah. -cancels all trades- I've never been so confused!

In your first point, you responding constructively. I disagreed, and contended that the situation was not altruistic but capitalistic. And I reiterated that I was was interested in analyzing it further. You responded by saying, "NO ANALYSIS! ANALYSIS BAD!" Then you started bashing heads with your agnostic club of doom.

That, my friend, is called first strike.

Finally, a relevant post!

Yeah, the chaos with price changes are getting out of hand. We might be headed toward some sort of market crash. Especially if you consider the constant influx of new people as compared to new gold. This means that commerce far exceeds the money supply, which may lead to an eventual deflation of the money supply.

In essence, we're all doomed. gonk
