Oh my goodness, I'm so glad somebody brought up the point on here. My friends and I have sucked this subject dry so long ago and all of us (finally) believe that Brom is Eragon's father for way too many reasons to list. I think we wrote them down somewhere...

By the way, Dissona, excellent evidence (that was the form my conversations with my friends went; I eventually won them all over smile .

As much evidence as there might be, I still can't help but hope your all wrong. For Brom to be eragon's father would be horridly predictable. And so far, Paolini has yet to do anything along those lines.

Predictability depends on your point of view. Some of my friends, and myself had the plot of Eldest down pretty accurately...
