Guess where it's a crime to "procure a miscarriage?" Goto Page: [] [<] 1 2

Treacherous Desire
WTF?
But...
Are abortions legal in that state?
If so ... isn't that sort of stupid?
So it's okay if you get it done medically, but if you knowingly do anything to miscarry, kaput?

That is incrediably stupid.

I think it's that she induced abortion at a late stage, when abortion was no longer legally elective, since she mentioned giving birth, and the child was reported to live for a few days afterwards.

That said, I feel really bad for her, especially considering that she had recieved no education on essentials like birth control.

But still, women are hardly charged for things like drinking, smoking, taking other drugs, or engaging in overly strenuous activities that may induce miscarriage, so I don't see why she would be charged for doing so in this fashion...

But it only weighed 1 pound... and She said she'd only been missing her period since September... Okay so those aren't the best indicators.

It would have been helpfully if they had noted exactly how far along she was.

Has it now gone to the point that taking any medication that a woman may need for her health but may be bad for the feti been overidden (aka, it only matters about the feti's health, not the mothers)
The doctor of a friend of mine would not write her a prescription for pain medication when she had a serious knee injury. Why? Because it causes birth defects. Nevermind that she wasn't pregnant. Or planning to become pregnant. In fact, she's in a monogamous relationship and her boyfriend was in Iraq at the time.

So, yes. It has gotten to that point. scream

That REALLY scares me...

This is insane.

And that poor girl! She's faced trauma enough but now they need to needlessly go on with the subject. It's over, it's done, don't they have more important things to deal with?
