Howl chuckled deep in his throat at the femme's comment about her flying. "Sounds like my old friend. He was supposidly a good flyer until someone knocked him out of the sky. Now he has trouble getting his body off of the ground and even more trouble staying airborne. Silly Jala," he said, a hint of amusement in his voice.
Howl shrugged his shoulders slightly. "To be quite honest, I had no idea I was doing it until some woman pointed it out to me." He canted his head to one side just in time to see her shudder. "It wasn't really like that. No blood involved. I guess what they really meant was that I flirted with them too much so that it broke their little hearts into a million pieces whenever I left them for another woman...or something like that." His reputation as a womanizer never left him for he was still doing that in this world.
"A permanent home to rest?" He canted his head to one side. He never really thought of that before. Maybe it was time for him to settle down and find a tree for him to stick to.

"Oh, that's too bad, flying is fun, even though I prefer running," she said with a nod. "So you were doing it without even knowing it?" She asked him quickly, wide-eyed, about to ask if he had blacked out or something when he explained, and she blushed slightly. "Oh, oh, now I understand," and she laughed at herself. Of course he hadn't done it like that, he didn't exactly have anything to do something like that with. No horn, so it would be kind of hard to. Why anyone would want to was a mystery to her. Had anyone done so? Hmm..
"What? Oh! Yes, a permanent home. My permanent home is in D'ob, but I still travel all I want. At least I know I have a home and friends to come home to," she said with a grin and a giggle. "It's really quite nice, in my opinion. D'ob is placid just about any time of the year, so if you want some different weather you'll have to seek it, which is both nice and irritating. It's nice, because you never have to worry about the snow or anything, but it's irritating because it's almost always the same. But it is nice," she said with a smile, flicking her curly tail.

“It must be a thrilling adventure in the sky. I wish I could fly again,” he said and he realized that he had said too much. Shaking his head, he skittered a little bit ahead of the femme. “Not like I tried to do that in this life. Though I imagine what it would feel like in the air with my wings stretched out. I’d probably be a horrible flyer, though. I’ve never had that kind of talent in this life.”
Shaking his head, he stared down at the ground as he silently answered the femme’s question. “Maybe it is time for me to stop these ways I have known myself to become and start anew.” He paused slightly as he canted his head to one side. “Though I am stuck on how to do so,” he said sheepishly. Maybe he would stick to the way he was for now until he could find another life to live.
“D’ob-now that is a good place to be. Very nice Nequus all around and you hardly get bored. I wonder if I can find my permanent home one day. I’ve always been the wandering type. Do you think I should?” he asked her curiously.

"It is nice to fly," she admitted with a thoughtful nod and a flick of an ear, "but I still prefer running. Much more exhilerating," she said with a grin and a giggle. If he should? Hmmm, that was a hard question. She furrowed her brow and scrunched up her nose to think, unaware how incredibly entertaining and amusing her face looked. "Well," she hesitated, trying to think of a good answer. "Well, I think everyone needs a permanent home. Someplace to come back to when you've been gone for a while, a place you know you'll always be welcome. Someplace--ooh! Ooh, ooh!" Her eyes had wandered as her mouth focused on speaking, and it worked fairly well until her eyes caught sight of a field of beautiful wild flowers.
"Howl!" She said with a grin, dancing in place. "You should go check out D'ob, I think that'd be a nice place for you to start. I suggest you go and talk to Nyx, too; she's an orange and blue splotched aeri like yourself, with a short mane and tail. She's very nice. I'm going to go roll in the flowers and pick some, I like to put them on my tree. It makes it look so pretty!" She beamed, clearly ecstatic over finding such a large array of flowers. "I'll see you again soon!" She called as she was already racing towards the flowers, not even waiting for his good-bye. Her mind certainly was simple, and flowers were one of the biggest distractions for her.
