>>she flashed a sort of glare at the torso, childishly angry that she was being interupted. The girl reached out and picked the oldest guitar. The wood was slightly cracked and it creaked if you moved it to much, but it would provide the sound she needed. Sayuri sat down and began to tune the thing, glancing up occasionally at the new male. Maybe she would give him the special game<<

::With a light wave, Enkei floated through the door, eyeing the other girl cautiously. He didn't like the vibe he got from this pale being, too cold. Pushing a hand through his hair he smiled at Yamashita.::
Nice to meet you Yamashita. My names Enkei, Enkei Hideyoshi. How long have you two been... uh here?
::He still wasn't sure of the name of where he was staying. Was it heaven, hell, purgatory? Something much different he supposed. With a sigh, he observed the small girl, still unsettled by her presence. Blinking a few times he nodded to her.::
I never did get your name...?

((Yue briefly wondered if the game was to see how fast you can die...again. xd j/k...))
Yue was blissfully unaware the the hostility flashing between the two other beings. Or rather, he chose to ignore it.
He noted that Sayuri was tuning the old guitar with ease. Perhaps she had done this several times before? It seemed like it... He wondered what she was going to play.
But it did amuse Yue briefly that there was another one that could be mistaken for a girl. Or at least from behind. Did all of them look like this? Wait... Did he look like that to THEM?
The thought was irritatedly waved away from Yue's mind. The corners of his mouth lifted a little as Enkei stumbled over what to call the world he was now in.
"Yue's fine. I've been here for a couple of months," the male cloaked in black answered, "And "here" is Meifu, the realm of the Shinigami. Well, more specifically the music room in the Division."

Enkei Hideyoshi. >>The child softly spoke, never looking up from the old guitar as she tuned it. She stroked the strings once, nodding thoughtfully before making a few more subtle changes<< Did you know...that to give a demon your name, is to give them power? >>She looked stroked it again and looked up. A tiny smile played on her lips that never did quite reach her empty blue eyes. Perfect<<

::He absorbed the words for a moment, before having his train of thought interupted by the girls ommision. Glancing to Yue to observe his reaction, then back to the still nameless girl. With a shrug he sighed.::
Well, then... Seeing as I'm dead from what I can gather, I really could care less, but thats rather selfish if I may say so myself.
::With another apathetic shrug, he blinked a few times the teal eyes gazing upon the ivory of the piano. With a smile of reminiscence he looked back at the guitar. Something about the guitar had struck a certain feeling. Something from his life in which most memories were already fading. With a sigh, he closed his eyes and floated nearby the wall.::
Meifu eh? Some guy approached me earlier and said something to me of Division Six. You know anything of it Yue?

Ignoring the chill that went through his spine, Yue carefully composed his expression to show that he was unaffected by her words. He calmly watched as the half-formed being floated to the side after gazing at the instruments.
In his peripheral vision, he watched the kimono-clad child. Demon or not, she was still only a child. He refused to be intimidated by someone almost two feet shorter than himself.
His attention was shifted to Enkei at his inquiry. Yue mulled over the question before answer, "Some guy...? Did he have long-ish hair with pointed ears? Elf-like? That would be the Adjutant. My seniors tell me that he's like... the voice of the High Summoner or something to that extent."
The amethyst-eyed figure racked his mind for the jurisdiction of the sixth Division. 'Was that the one in the States? No... That would the first... The sixth...the sixth... the sixth...'
In his mind, a chibi version of himself paced back and forth, muttering the locations of the divisions in order. The super-deformed Yue seemed very close to slamming his head against the proverbal wall in frustration. Suddenly the chibi Yue snapped his fingers.
"Division 6? That should be the Central Asia and the Middle East... Well, more accurately speaking, Central and Southwest Asia. So when you get a mission, that's probably where you'll be headed to on Earth," Yue said aloud.

Don't be paranoid Enkei Hideyoshi. >>she replied in that soft voice<< Just a asking if you knew. >>Sayuri then thought about what song she should sing. The girl didn't really know any songs, and none that told of her feelings. So...she made one up on the spot. Slowly her voice rose up, soft yet strong, childishly highpitched but somehow...fitting. Her fingers danced upon the guitar, setting an eerie feel to the room<<
First attack, Second attack, Third attack la.
On the fourth attack, Mother was killed, Fathers sons too.
First attack, Second attack, Third attack la.
They were sent, To the underworld, And I should be there too...

::Bobbing slightly, the man gave a look of despair at his excuse of a body. He frowned lightly before hearing Yue's words. It made sense... mostly. The Adjutant was indeed the man that had talked to him, but he had praised him. Blinking a few times he shrugged before turning back to Yue.::
Well, he said I'd make a good addition to the Division. I suppose I've been assigned there as I grew up in Japan... I think...
::This amnesiac affect of Meifu was really starting to bother the long haired beauty. He liked to keep his memories close to him, as the experience meant nothing unless you could retain what it felt like. Sighing he glanced back at the demon-child. Her words while full of meaning, and possibly threats glanced off the man.::
You can call me Enkei if you'd like. And I'm not paranoid.
::This little girl was trying to penetrate his mind on the first day. It was almost comedic, her vain little attempts to rouse the man. Chuckling lightly, he watched her play, sing her sadistic ideas. He smirked before turning back to Yue.::
So, these divisions then. I suppose theres a lot of them? And we take part in missions back on Earth? What the hell is this place some kind of army of dead souls?

Yue quietly listened to Sayuri's song. He sensed a feeling of... remorse? regret? beneath the morbid details. A song of society's misgivings and of a lonely child.
Yue's dark head nodded to Enkei's questions. "There are ten divisions. I, myself, am part of Division Ten. Our missions... can vary, I suppose. Some collect souls, some protect them, and others... they find the missing ones."
He couldn't help but be amused at the teal-eyed shinigami's last comment. At the same time, he briefly gazed at the silent Sayuri.
"I was told once that this is our second chance at life, so to speak. We go around to collect souls with this time. But we ensure that they are able to be reborn. And we are given the power to prevent mortals from dying before their time. Maybe we are what humans call "Angels"..." Yue mused. His expression gentled and his eyes softened as he gave a small smile.

You thought it was a threat, when it was just some info. You are paranoid enkei hideyoshi. >>Sayuri put the guitar back up against the wall. The sad thing was, she really wasn't trying to penetrate his mind. It was way to frail for her to even get a good game from. This really was, simple plain Sayuri<< Denying your fears just makes you weaker. And as Yamashita Yue said, we pick up the souls and save the mortals. Being weak will kill you. >>A slender pale hand rose to block a yawn, obviously completely uninterested in Enkei's ignorance<<

: biggrin amn this girl had some nerve. Shaking his head lightly he sighed, smiling brightly a shimmer to his cyan orbs.::
Say what you will little girl, your words have no justification. I never stated that your words were threatening, because they were not.
::Flipping his hair from his face, he turned back to Yue, chuckling lightly.::
Angels huh? Pretty heavy duty we got on our shoulders then.
: razz ushing a hand through the dirty-blonde locks he mused over what he had just learned, happy that he would be overseeing and bringing peace to others, yet he wasn't so sure he was ready to take on these responsibilites just yet, as the area he was assigned to was in constant struggle and conflict.::

((Japan's in East Asia, not SW or Central o_o;; ))
The lavendar-eyed shinigami could practically feel the sparks flying over his head. He discreetly rubbed his temples to ward off the oncoming migraine and wished for scented oils. Someone had introduced him to the therapy that eroded the effects of a headache after a mere fifteen minutes. Granted his hair was a bit mussed afterwards.
"It is a strong obligation. After all we were brought back for this purpose. Or else we would have just gone to the underworld with everyone else," Yue replied.
An obsidian lock of hair fell in front of his eyes as Yue leaned forward with his arms clasped loosely across his chest. "I don't understand. Why does everyone speak of fear as if it's a bad thing," he commented nonchalantly, "it just means that you're paying attention."

Of course you didn't. But you said 'seeing as Im dead from what I can gather, I really could care less.' Defensive. I was just asking if you knew. >>sayuri looked at yue, tilting her head slightly. She nodded<< Fear isn't bad...denying is bad. And bads not good. >>She kinda liked the odd musical male. Yes. Later she would invite him to play a game with her<<

(( Sorry this took so long guys I was outta town D:
And I edited that other post Celestia thanks for that xDDD ))
::Enkei paused for a moment, glancing down to his floating lack of legs, only to notice his long lost friends slowly regathering to join him. With a smile of joy, he placed his own two feet on the ground with a big sigh of content. Glancing back to the demon-child he shrugged.::
Well I suppose I didn't know that fact then.
::Shifting his feet cautiously, he turned to Yue.::
As far as I can see, fear is a double-edged blade. Feeding off your fear can drive you to do incredible things. Yet if you let your fear consume you, take a grip on your life. Well, then you're screwed.
::Scracthing his hair lightly, he closed his eyes and smiled bashfully at his semi-morbid comment.::

Placing his elbow on his thigh, Yue rested his head in his hand. He thought about what Enkei said before answering.
"As Macbeth and his vaulting ambitions spurred by his fears. Fearing to lose his power led to his own downfall," the purple eyed one remarked. Vague snippets of the famous tragedy echoed in his mind. He despised reading the short Shakespearean play as a human teen. Looking back, perhaps it wasn't such a bad thing after all.
"But to do things caused by fear... I would rather accomplish something with my own power because by doing it out of fear, what are the chances that you can repeat it? You'd know you have the potential but you can never reach it again."
Yue glanced at the clock hanging on the wall closest to the door. For some strange reason, he had a strong craving to drink green tea. Not the one where you would just seep the leaves in hot water but the tea ceremony.
The shinigami briefly wondered if the Division had the supplies for a tea ceremony. He missed the bitter yet comforting taste of whisked tea...
