At once, Kivumbi'wingu's eyes darkened.
"Prove myself to you?" he asked, his lip curling into a slight snarl, "Why would I want to pro-..."
But at the mention of Mafa, he pulled back, and cast Frit an uncomfortable gaze. That's right. He was in this pack now, and he needed to stay. Any word against Frit, and maybe he'd be pulled out. She was, after all, in a higher rank than he... and if pack officials were to believe anyone, it would most likely be Frit.
The male walked after her, his awkward gait becoming all the more clumsy as he lost himself in thought. He wondered what Frit's true intentions were, and what she had in mind for him... twisted minds seemed to gather at the Graveyard like bees to honey, and Frittilaria was no exception. Behind that helpful exterior of hers, it seemed she had an ulterior motive. Maybe he'd be used. He had to be on his guard, to make sure that the female did not delve too deeply into his mind. He'd be her 'pet' for a while, but he resolved to change once he had earned respect in the Graveyard Pack. He couldn't let Frit get to him, she seemed like a tricky beast. Best to keep his guard up.
He sped up as she did, matching her pace with his, powerful paws striking against the earth as they travelled back to the Pack Grounds.
""You'll come and share my spot with me, I'll make sure you're trained the way mafa wants you to be."
"If that's what Mafa wants, Frit, then I'll do it," he growled reluctantly, then hesitated, "Although, I'm not sure what you're after. I'm in no place to refuse your offer, so..."
So, what?
"Fine."
It was a childish way to answer Frit, but Kivu couldn't find another word. Maybe this was how life was going to be for him from now on... stretched out, long and full of unpleasant surprises waiting for him around corners...
"I'll accept your training, Miss Frit."

She let a little smirk lift her lips and she gave a curt nod as she padded off back to her 'scouting point' "Thats a good thing because I'm the best you can get." she let a long high pitched laugh echo from her chest as she ran up the large skull and settled in one of the eye sockets, her fore paws crossed in a pleased manner. It was about time she had somone who knew she could teach them things.
