The more I find out about it, the more I want to learn it. gonk I swear it's got to be one of the most pretty languages on the planet. Lots of people agree with me; I've seen it claimed that it's the "perfect language," and I'm starting to believe that. http://youtube.com/watch?v=IL5D8CJq5RQ&mode=related&search=@_@

Hey, neither of the music files work on my computer (which is the lameness, by the way), is Aymara the language they're speaking in that video?

Do you have any reasons why its so perfect? I find their perception of time, and the tertiary logic system interesting, I just don't see the 'perfection' in Aymara. It looks neat, but not that neat.
Don't get me wrong though, I like all them languages. (except french) talk2hand

(except french) talk2hand Basically, because it's -extremely- flexible compared to other languages and can accommodate almost any neologism one throws at it - so much so that it's been accused of being a constructed language before. See this for details. @Jaqueline: What, the second song I provided? I know. It's so pretty that it's got prettiness outprettied.

I see. But do you know how it is able to do that, and what it is about the language that makes it so flexible and all that fanciness?

That's what I've been researching. xp
There's a ton of information on www.aymara.org , but it's all in Spanish and thus the going is slow.

Will do. I'm considering translating a bunch of their stuff... I understand enough Spanish that I can do that.

What the hell is that? Some huge Aymara word? Then either its highly agglutinative, or it takes a damn long time to say anything.

Vajra B. Hairava What the hell is that? Some huge Aymara word? Then either its highly agglutinative, or it takes a damn long time to say anything. It means "It is my personal knowledge that it is necessary for all of us, including you, to make the effort to communicate." Behold! Polysynthesis.
