"Who knows? There might be."
Laeri watched the innocent little boy get attacked by her baby and stiffled a shriek of terror. First the unexpected kid, then losing her at the clothing store, now this? How could it get any worse?

"Omigosh, I am so sorry."

Ankaa heard Finn's screaming and remembered that she had never heard Laeri scream. This hair couldn't belong to Laeri, and the only time she had heard shrieks was when she was at the marketplace and other babies were near. So the lock of hair must have belonged to a baby.

Oops.

Slowly, Ankaa drew hand away from the hair and felt quite embarrassed. A few seconds after she released Finn's hair from her death-grip, she felt that burning pain increase in intensity. Screaming from pain, Ankaa released huge clouds of smoke that traveled all around the room. The fire alarms began to go off and the ear-piercing beeping drove her to scream even louder. This was the worst day of her life, and it could not get any worse.

Then, the sprinklers went off.

Ah~

Relief washed over Finn as the crocodile hold un-grasp his hair allowing him to finally calm down for once. Yanking his arms out of the little opening before anything else could try to tear it off; he let out sniffle as he rolled to his side near the stuff animal that was put back in to the stroller.

"It's okay; you just have an inquisitive little child. No harm done beside a few hair los--" Feeling the tap of the rain drops a confused expression played on her face as she looked over at the girl.

Finn, on the other hand enjoying the mini down pour let out a happy giggle as he failed his tiny hands as if trying to catch droplets until his "mother" pick him up and drew him closer to her chest to prevent him from getting soaked.

"Come on; let's get ourselves some place drier before everything gets drenched." Motioning for Care Taker and her child to follow she started to walk right toward the door.

"By the way, I didn't pick up your name."

What had been an excellent day for Ankaa had turned very rotten.

She was wet. WET!!! Ankaa hated being wet. She hated being bathed, spilling drinks, anything that involved a liquid touching her anywhere but her mouth. Now she had water falling from the sky onto her skin and she was not enjoying it. The sensation sent shivers up her spine as she felt the stroller being pushed in the direction of the voices she had heard all day.

Laeri pushed the stroller towards her new acquaintences as Ankaa began to flail her arms wildly. Personally, the guardian liked the water, it made her feel nice and clean. Unfortunately, the little prostar didn't feel the same way. Sighing, Laeri caught up with the other baby and caretaker and shot a grin in their direction.

"My name is Laeri," she said and made a gesture towards the babe. "And this is Ankaa."

Once out of the indoor down pour she stood in the halls waiting for the other care taker to follow her. Once getting a hold of her name she freed up an arm so she could hold out her hand to shake Laeri's.

"Saidi, but everyone calls me Sai and this little guy here is Finn. It's nice to meet the both of you." Realizing the two where wet she kneeled down close to the stroller.

While most of the items where soaking went she was able to savage a dry blanket from the bottom of the basket. Holding the pale yellow blanket out to Laeri she smiled gently at them while Finn in her arm.

"You want to borrow this? Both of you are soaking wet!" She said letting out a chuckle.

The caretaker lifted her hand from the stroller and shook Sai's.

"Yes, thank you so much," Laeri said with a smile as she took the blanket. Ankaa would definately need it more. Suddenly, she remembered something. Reaching into the pouch on the back of the stroller, she brought out a soft plushie about the size of an arm. She had bought it at the marketplace the other day, and thought giving it to this caretaker was probably the best thing to do with it.

"Here," she said as she handed the fluffy plushie to the guardian. "A present for Finn. A welcome to this world."

"Oh my god!" Saidi said in an appreciative tone of voice. "Thank you! Thank you so much." Taking the cute stuff animal she would danged the toy in front of the Finn. Reaching out for it with his tiny baby arms, grabbed it, and stuffed it into his mouth. It tasted fuzzy to him but that didn't stop him from chewing away at it in sheer enjoyment.

"It looks like it got the stamp of approval from Finny boy." She was half laughing at Finn's reaction to his newest toy. In the background the ringing of a clock's bell could be heard. She looked over quickly to check the time only to have a look of horror come to her face.

"I knew I was running late for something! I would love to stay and chat some more but and I have to get going." Yet, she didn't leave right away. With that arm still free she pulled out a card with the words " Livre & Boek" on it as well as an address.

"There's a book store down town called " Livre & Boek" close by the market. If your in the area then drop in and just ask the old lady at the counter, Jenka, for me. Things tend to run slow at that shop so don't be shy to drop by! Plus, there's an array of interesting books for sale to."

"Alright," Laeri said as she took the card and put it in the pocket of her jacket. "Thanks. I'll be sure to check it out.

As she headed back to the waiting room (the sprinklers had been shut off by now), she thought about the two people she had just met. They were awfully kind and she would check out the bookstore later. She hoped Finn would forgive Ankaa for giving him a horrible experience that could last a lifetime. Sighing, she looked at Ankaa's tightly squeezed eyes.

She hoped she could see them again soon.

Ankaa wanted some flower petals to munch on right now. They always made her feel better. How could a day that started out so wonderful end so horribly? She didn't know. Whoever that starlet was, she would never forgive them. Ever. They disproved her theory about there being two caretakers and that truely upset her. Fortunately, she didn't know who this starlet was, so they lucked out... this time.
