-Whereas her father might have playfully teased, or smiled in such a way that spoke volumes of the blossoming lovebirds, Kami didn't find herself 'old' or 'wise' enough to do the same. Though quite certainly she understood the sentiment, not more then a pawful of months ago prancing around like a silly little child, with her head up in the clouds over Ta.
In fact, she still felt like that sometimes, but time and responsibility had done something to hide to the fact, an effort to show atleast a little regality to the position she'd been thrust into.
Shifting a little gently, she tried to settle herself back more, so her stomach didn't rub against the ground as it seemed almost inclined to, before returning the lioness' greeting.- "Pleasure to meet you."
-She tried to think of something clever to say to Ai, something wise or smart like her father.. as it didn't seem appropriate or necessary in this case to rattle out the rules. But nothing came to mind, so instead her expression took on something of discomfort, shyness, comically reflecting Ai's own bizzare face.- "I... think that people who like each other should get to stay near each other.. So..."
"She is free to join if she likes."

Kat stayed quiet, fidgeted her toes against the earth beneath her paws lightly and not in a noticeable manner. She was just nervous, she wanted to stay, so very much, Kat wanted to have a home again, not be out in the open like before when that big black...winged thing went after her. She shuddered on the inside, yes, she wanted to stay away from the rogue lands now.
She felt her cheeks get warm, she didn't know if they turned red when Ai started to stumble with his words, she smiled though, smiled a never ending smile and flicked her tail once when she felt a cool breeze behind her.
Once she heard Kami speak, she swore her heart stopped beating, that she stopped breathing, she wanted to know what Kami would say, but was nervous, but when Kami spoke, she almost sighed out loud. But her heart started beating again.
She could stay!
She was going to have a home again.
"Thank you Kami, thank you so much..." she said softly as her ears fell back slightly in an expression of gratitude along with her smile, and the look in her eyes. She looked at Ai through the corner of her eyes and she felt warm, she was indeed going to have a home. Her eyes then went back to Kami...Kat almost jumped for joy and would've given Kami a hug-type thing if she could.
"I'll do anything I can to be part of the pride, I want to fit in as well...help others..." she said with a nod.
This was the beginning of something new.

If the earth had been sitting on his shoulders at that very point in time, even that weight alone being knocked away would have been anything in comparison to the one that almost seemed to be lifted from the adolescent's as he sighed with relief.
He purred, rubbing his nose against Kat's cheek affectionately, then bowing his head again to the lioness they sat across from.
"You have no idea what this means to us... thank you. Let me know if there's every anything I could do for you to return this act of kindness." he stammered, almost as if his brain had shut off the moment that Kami had said that the lioness by his side could stay.
And in most aspects, if asked, it probably had.
However, the 'reeefraaaaain' in his head seemed to come to a halt as Ai's.. 'observancy' in recent family bits (His aunt in particular.. ) came to spill out in regard to Kami herself, if not in as straight-forward as a manner.
"And that includes being a 'royal babysitter'."

-The tiniest hint of a short giggle slipped from Kami, her head bowing softly at the enthusiasm, before she offered lightly.- "Well there are plenty of members in the pride that would be happy for help I think. Whether it be helping bring in food for all the new mouths to feed. Or helping look after some of the little ones when the parents go hunting."
"Lots and lots of things to do" -She drawled out whistfully in thought.-
"Hm?" -Her attention turned towards the male with soft confusion, unaware of the morning he'd spent with her mate. Also seemingly oblivious to the fact that everyone could see how obviously rounded she was becoming these days. She waved a paw softly trying hard to smile, though the words weighed on her mind. An unintentional but cruel reminder of the two cubs she'd abandoned in adolescence.- "Ahh, I think I can care for a cub or two myself. But thank you for your kind offer." -If only she knew that that 'cub or two' growing in her belly was in fact 9 wriggling little bodies. Well, atleast they'd all be in for a surprise.-

Kat smiled and leaned against Ai a bit, this was a great day, so great, she couldn't get over how great it was. When Ai mentioned 'royal babysitter,' she peered at him and smiled. Cubs were cute, energetic, and fun to be around. Babysitting could always be fun, she could run around with cubs, watch hem, make sure they were alright. Perhaps even live out some of her lost cub-hood along with them.
That'd be interesting.
"I have to admit, I'm not the best hunter..." Kat said embarrassed, "I can fish alright, I can watch cubs if anyone needs me too," she said with a nod, "But I can do anything or try to do anything anyone asks of me," she said with a definite nod. Yes, she'd try to do anything and everything if it was asked of her.

Ai smiled an nodded at the queen's words, agreeing that, yes, she'd be well off to raise her little ones without his babysitting 'abilities' (that were non-existant..) . Then again, it was unknown to even him that soon there would be enough children around for him to trip over most of the lot. Dear lord, that'd be the day.
On the note of taking care of children, Ai seemed to get a sort of 'hmm?' look on his face, before a sudden realization. He bowed his head a bit to Kamilika, before nudging Kat's side.
"If you want to take care of little ones, perhaps I can introduce you to my aunt and her little troop of kids. She's an excellent nanny, so perhaps she can teach you a thing or two, eh?" he suggested, then again looked to the mother-to-be and nodded his head.
"I think I'll go take her to meet some more of the pride. It was nice seeing you this morning!" he beamed, obviously enthusiastic about helping Kat find her niche.

"Of course! First you should settle in thought I think." -She nodded, smile wide upon her maw, quite obviously amused and impressed by the enthusiasm that the lioness held.
Surely she'd be a good addition to the pride. To the 'family'.
Ears perking gently to Ai's suggestion, she nodded lightly.- "Ohhh yes, that's right. If you think you'd like to be a nanny sometime down the line.. Getting to know Tai is a wonderful idea. Her opinion is very highly valued to me when it comes to that sort of thing."
-Nodding in soft departure to Ai, she didn't shift too much, watching the two, well intent on sitting for awhile longer after they left.- "Take care then. I hope to see you again soon Katana."

Everything just seemed to have gotten better for her, so much so Kat could barely believe that it was true. But yes, now it was a fact that she had a home, she had Ai, and she'd make some great friends. That and Kami seemed oh so nice, Kat would do whatever she could to be a worthy pride member, she would, she'd make sure.
"I hope to see you soon as well," Kat said with a smile, then looked to Ai as she couldn't wait until where she went next here, or who she met.
Everything, from now on, would forever be grand.
