The cat purred and smiled. Silently he glanced at the notepad and watched while talking as he wrote down things. Holding his tongue he just purred as his tail swished behind him. Personally, Basil enjoyed the sound of the other felines giggles and laughter, it was very refreshing and quite pleasant, and it was nice to see that he wasnt quite as nervous as before, for he was smiling now.
The reason that the cat had asked the other to help him draw was for the fact that he beleived the other to have mass amounts of artistic talent locked away. Not being mean, but a blind could be one of the best. They have room to create what they please, no matter if its right or wrong, and it gives them a more creative air about them than most other artists. Artists paint or draw what they see. Why couldnt a blind paint what they see? They may see differently, but they can still 'see'.
Going back to purring he glanced up at the sun a moment. "I better finish some more. I see that you wont mind if I do so, for you have your notepad." Giving a smile and gently patting the other on the head, he moved gracefully back to the concrete where he continued with his art. He would and could still answer questions and converse with the other even while drawing.
'Scritch... Scritch...'
Continuing he held his skirt while filling in reflections within the stream in the picture. As he drew, he saw the scene in his mind and thats what he drew. It was his own place of paradise. Always warm and sunny. Bright and freindly... There were no people, just scenery for thats what he loved best of all, and day after day he would draw different places of the mysterous land of his own, sometimes beautiful nightscapes, or even afternoon time. Sometimes mostly water, others completely green. It always varied, but never had he drawn the same thing twice...

Jigue ended up stabbing at the thick layers of paper in his notepad, able to "read" the pages like brail with his sensitive fingertips. While doing so, he placed the pencil very carefully along the page, following invisible lines across the pages that only he could "see." The tones in his head started out slowly, then gained in tempo like their friendship and how it was blossoming. The tones were long but not drawn out, moving to a more upbeat tune as time went on. He still wasn't completely satisfied with it, but it was an excellent start to a lovely song.
His ears twitched as he rose his head from the tablet, trying to face Basil's way as he spoke. He loved the cat's voice; it was so musical and comforting, much different than what he was used to. He smiled, replying, "Oh, good idea! It would be nice if you finished it today, wouldn't it?" His tail waved happily about, the bushed tip of it bobbing around like a tree branch on a stick.
However, when Basil moved away and Jigue tried to continue on with the notes of the song, he felt the warmth of his body leave and he felt himself become oddly... cold. His pink-tipped nose scrunched slightly in irritation, but he found himself fidgeting at the loss of close company. After a pause, mulling over what he was to do, he scooted over back to Basil's side, at the shore of his masterpiece. Content, Jigue placed his fingertips gently on the chalk-painting's surface and closed his eyes. "I can tell that this picture really depicts your inner soul. It's very... soft, and kind. Very beautiful, even if I can't see it for myself," he explained, lifting his hand from the image without smearing what was beneath them. "I hope I can depict it right..." he continued, murmuring under his breath.

The cat's ears perked as he heard the other one move. Looking at him he watched as he felt the picture. Giving a smile and a constant purr he spoke, "It's a shame that I can't make it textured for you..." His ears drooped slightly and his tail swished as he thought... Giving a smile he grinned at the other. "I'll make one sometime. I promise. No matter how long it will take. I'll be able to show you clearly what it looks like..."
Moving a little closer to the other feline as he took the other's hand gently in his. He bit his lip slightly before smiling as he looked at the others hand. "I promise, I'll find a way to truly show you the landscapes I draw.... Somehow." Purring he gently kissed it then brought it to his cheek and held it there a moment.
After a moment the cats tail twitched and he grinned. "Come! You can help me finish. <3 ~" At that he gave Jigue a couple chalks and led him to several uncolored butterflies and flowers. There he took the others hand again and traced what was to be colored for him. When he began to work, he stayed close to the other as he spoke to him calmly about random subjects and purred continuously...

Jigue smiled, warmed by the tone and sincerity in Basil's voice. "Textured, huh? Now that would be something!" he laughed, believing every last word the cat spoke. "I'll be here when you make it, I promise you. I wouldn't miss it for the world. However, I am quite content now. I can feel the devotion you put into this, and that's enough for me. You put your soul into it, and I can tell," he commented with a smile. He would wait until the ends of time to see what Basil had in mind, even if it was through other means. After all, nobody had ever wanted to do something like this for him.
He was taken by surprise as Basil's hand found his, but he didn't jump; his touch was so careful and gentle that it couldn't have. He blushed at such a loving touch, and flushed even more furiously when Basil had kissed it. However, he didn't pull away like he would normally. He felt something different in this one, much more sincere and devoted than anyone else would have after just a partial day together, and it made his heart skip a beat. He had never felt something so sweet before, something that touched his very soul like this. "I'm sure that if anyone could do it, it would be you," he said lightly, smile spreading widely on rosy features.
His head snapped up at Basil's coming enthusiasm, and after a moment's pause after being jostled around willingly, he agreed. "Okay, I'd be happy to!" he chirped, gripping the chalk tightly in his hands. As Basil led his hand around the image, the picture was drawn in his head as he tried his best to color it in. This time, he alternated between colors to give the butterfly he was coloring more dimension, even if it was poorly done. He didn't seem worried about it, content just to be helping Basil in something he enjoyed. "Do you always color here, or have you elsewhere as well?" he asked, keeping the conversation going.

He was happy the other had gotten warmed up enough with enough confidence to help. His tail flicked slightly as he kept it off the chalk, not wanting to have to groom it later. At the question he smiled as he colored in a couple spots. After a moment he moved back over to Jigue and held his knees as he smiled.
"Oh, I color where ever there is room. Sometimes on sidewalks, but mostly here. It's a pretty big park and it has a nice amout of working space." It was true. Sometimes he'd find a nice sidewalk where he'd stop and start to draw on.
Giving a purr he gently leaned over the others shoulder. "It looks lovely." He would have ruffled his hair lovingly, but his hands were colored from chalk and he didnt want to color the others lovely locks. Silently he had a small urge to gently kiss the others head instead, but he moved on, purring warmly.

Jigue tried to steady the chalk in his grip, getting a better hold of it than he had had previously. The sun was getting a little warm, but his hands weren't as sweaty as he thought they should be. White-striped hands turned blue with the chalk, but he didn't mind at all. It might mess with his sense of touch, but he would work around it; he knew how. His bottlebrush tail snaked through the grass as he colored, showing his pleasure in the activity.
He found himself laughing at Basil's answer to his question, nodding. "Well, I can see how that would be best! There's plenty of space here, I've been told. Are there any more of your drawings still out there?" he asked, wide grin on his face. I wonder how many he has done? he wondered with awe as he continued to color. As Basil leaned over his shoulder, Jigue couldn't help but blush once more. He was so sweet to him...
Just then, a shadow passed by Jigue's vision, coming from a group of friends on their way past. The cat slowed his breathing as his ears went back slightly in reaction to the presence of them, but his heart jumped as he thought he heard a single word pass by their lips. "Freaks..." His hand slipped just then, sliding a line across the image from the butterfly into the sky. He cringed and leaned back, hands clenched and resting on his knees. "I-I'm sorry..." he stuttered, trying to hide his face from the other.

Basil smiled happily, "There still might be one that I did just---" he stopped as the group went by... and his ears caught everything that was said. Giving a twitch of his tail, he looked their direction, his normally warm gaze quite icey and his voice was chilly as he spoke, while standing. "That isnt for you to judge..."
He watched them go by, before going to the other feline and wrapping his arms around him and sitting with him in the grass. Gently he rubbed his cheek gainst the others with a light purr. "It's okay... You're butterflies look beautiful Jigue..." He smiled lightly and gently kissed the top of the others head lovingly. He was attached to him, and would hate to let him go...

The thick-furred feline fidgeted slightly under the shadow of the group that passed, and he closed his eyes. He couldn't understand why humans had such trouble accepting anthros such as them when there were so many of them around. Just because they were different didn't mean they had any fewer rights...
He barely noticed as Basil growled at them, too unnerved over the matter. However, he couldn't help but notice when he tried to soothe him, and he felt immediately that he had needed something like this. Was it always so comforting to have a friend hold you when you were upset? He didn't know, always one to lock himself in his room when things grew out of his control, but was starting to feel like this was better. He leaned into Basil, wrapping a hand around to return the hug he gave him and sighed. "Why can't they just accept us for who we are? Why do they have to fear what they don't understand..?" he asked quietly, not expecting it to be answered.
Instead, he snuggled into Basil's grasp and twitched his ears to the kiss. He was taken by surprise, but he wasn't about to pull away. He was too comfortable around him, and right now he was all he had in the world. "Thank you... It means a lot coming from you, Basil," he murmured as he nuzzled him. He didn't know why he felt so affectionate other than the need to be with someone while he was so upset, but he felt the need to stay. For how long, it didn't matter to him; he was happy for once in what seemed like ages.

Silently the cat gathered up the chalks and put them away. He was done for the day, he’d rather to go get some tea and some sweets with the other feline at the moment. Even if he did finish his drawing, he wouldn’t be satisfied with the outcome… Murring gently to the other he kept at least one arm around him as he gently nuzzled into the others hair.
“They’re afraid of the unknown Jigue. They don’t want to step out of their comfort zones to see what it’s really like, they just judge as they go. Passing glances is how most humans judge others. The good thing is, some do accept us, and we should be glad for them and be thankful for the understanding from them. It’s different reasons for everybody, so I couldn’t tell you for sure.... It’s all about comfort levels…”
Having been able to reach all the chalks and putting them away, the cat gave a purr lovingly to the one he held. “Come. Dessert and tea will make you feel better, I know the perfect place to take you…” Standing he helped the other up, still keeping a hold of him. Looking at the mostly finished landscape his eyes gazed over the butterflies the other feline had did. Giving a smile he gently rubbed his cheek against the others. “Your drawings are beautiful…”

Jigue refused to leave Basil's embrace, snuggling up to him as much as he could. Humans were so confusing and unpredictable, he didn't understand how they could be so single-minded. Why couldn't they open their views a little and let in the unexplained? Or even the odd. They didn't deserve to be treated like trash; they used to be equals! What happened to make them hate their race so much?
The pale-striped cat buried his face in his friend's chest, not wanting to be bothered with any more situations like that. He listened to Basil's explaination and after a while nodded in response, but he was still a little unnerved over the ordeal. Ths was one of the reasons he always kept himself locked up in his own room, as he didn't want to face the harsh truth of reality, but Basil made it seem so trivial. The warmth of Basil's body against his own calmed him immensely, and he found his upset demeanor fade away. "I know you're right, but... it's still so confusing. We don't do that to them, why should they do it to us?" he asked with a sigh.
As he was moved to rise to his feet, Jigue followed without hestiation in his movements. He was comfortable, something he didn't feel often enough, and he liked it. "Tea and dessert sounds really good. Let us go," he replied with a smile, tension dissapating. Basil knew just the way to brighten Jigue's mood, and he was grateful for it. He blushed at Basil's comment on his drawings, but couldn't find the words to thank him. Instead, he just nuzzled him back, tail waving happily as he purred.

Basil mimicked the other felines purr both warmly and lovingly as he nuzzled into his hair. Giving a small smirk he murmured, "Maybe they're just jealous... Like children showing their adoration to others by pestering others to no end..."
He couldnt help but give a chuckle at the thought. He knew that wasnt it, but it was quite an amusing theory none the less. "Come. Let us go have some snacks!" He grinned happily as he began to lead the other to the barkey he visited often. It was owned by one of the anthros that lived outside of the estate, though he visited at times.
It was a nice warm and welcoming little bakery with delicious treats of all sorts...

Jigue finally pulled away from Basil's grip, thinking it might be a little hard to walk like that if they were going to be going anywhere. However, he kept an arm wrapped around the other cat's waist, finding his voice once more as Basil spoke. He couldn't help but laugh himself, pulling at one of his fuzzy ears in emphasis. "Wouldn't that be great? I wouldn't feel so bad if that was the case. After all, they could grow out of that behavior," he said with a smile, releasing his grip on his own cat ear as he finished.
He followed with eager steps, thinking that they probably wouldn't find the same negativity in the air if it was a place Basil frequented. Maybe tenseness, but it would be quiet awe if anything. As his stomach grumbled slightly he grabbed hold of it with his free hand and blushed. He could smell the goods from the bakery they were heading to, but the smell took hold of him in a way he wasn't expecting. "I... guess I'm hungrier than I thought," he said with a laugh. "Could you... tell me what the place is like?" he asked, a little shy to be relying on someone else's eyes so willingly.

Basil purred at the others cuteness... Looking down and around a moment, he realized they were missing a very precious item. "Jigue..." He stopped and looked at the feline. "You didnt grab your violin. Come on."
He gave a small chuckle as he began to lead the other to where they had started, having not gotten very far. Gently he led the otehr to the case where he waited for him to retreive it before purring.

Jigue jumped slightly at the mention of his missing violin, and his fur immediately stood on end. He forgot it? How could he do that to someting he considered like a limb to him? He flushed, but more from anxiety than embarrassment. "We... we gotta go find it! I don't want someone else to take it!" he said frantically before he realized he was being pulled back there to retrieve it. His head sank; now the blind cat seemed like he was losing his mind.
Flustered, the cat whimpered slightly in fear that someone really had stolen it. Basil's warm and comforting touch to his hand, however, really helped him calm down. He must seem like such a spaz... but Basil didn't seem to judge him like that. Why not? He was just too sweet to do a thing like that to him...
He grabbed at his violin once he felt its presence with his sensitive fingers, holding it close to his chest and wrapped in a hug. He buried his nose behind it and turned to Basil, his presence still warm by his side. "Th-Thank you. I would have been devastated if anything happened to it," he said, blushing. Slowly, Jigue lifted his hand to find his friend's face. He followed his fingers to find Basil's cheek, and quickly, he kissed him. He had never done that before, but something inside told him it was right, the other's purring just seeming to encourage him. "Now, how about that dessert you were talking about?" he asked with a shy smile.

Basil purred. He didnt think he was a spaz. Things got forgotten at times of distraction. At the wimper he gently nuzzled the other, "It wil lstill be there..." Giving a smile when they retruend and he retrieved it, Basil purred, his tail flicking slightly. "See? We weren't gone long enough. And most pepole are freindly in the park."
Thinking back at the group he added a murmur... "Normally..."Shaking it off as he felt the other's touch on this cheek, he purred and closed his eyes, willing him on. His touch as gently and warm, and he welcomed it happily, along with the kiss.
There was a tiny moment of shock as his ear twitched alittle, but it was just a small glitch. Not big enough to notice. Giving a smile he gently pressed his lips to the others forehead. "You're welcome. And dessert. It sounds absolutely delicilous right now." Giving a purr he began to lead the other feline down the path they had begun just moments ago.
