"Well ... you didn't like per say. But you also didn't tell me you had a family." She kicked at the water for a moment. "I, i like having you around. Is that good enough for a start?"

"You never asked..." He nickered softly as he brushed his shoulder against his. "D'ey a wild bunch... When d'ey grow up d'ey won't need me any..." They wouldn't rely on him to keep them safe. Between the three foals they'd already proven themselves to be headstrong, wild creatures. His daughter was determined to take care of herself and his sons were... Trouble and Vanity. He shook his head slowly, letting his attention draw back to Rogue.
"Ah guess it good for a start... As long as it's a start an' not d'end." He touched his nose to hers once more. "We are startin' somethin', aren't we?"

"That one ... seems a lot like you." The almost blue foal didn't look completely like his father but he certinally brought the stallion to mind. "Its probably good i haven't met their mother." She probably wouldn't be nice to the other mare and whoever she was didn't deserve any gripe from her.
"I suppose we are." If she was admitting she liked him and he was staying he wanted her then they probably were.

"Ah want you t'meet her eventually, Rogue." He brushed his shoulder against hers, letting the touch linger for a moment. It wouldn't be any time immediately and he knew that well enough... But, sometime down the road, he wanted them to. "An' Ah'll have ta introduce you properly to Trouble..." And to the other two foals as well...
He stepped back, looking at her with a silly grin. "... Wish Ah knew what it was 'bout you d'at made me feel like a foal tryin' ta flirt for da first time."

"I think you'll have to give me some time before i meet her. I ... i don't think i could be nice as of right now and she doesn't deserve that." She wasn't looking forward to those foals either. The two that lived with the two legger were more than a pain.
She looked at him with laughter glittering in her eyes. "Maybe because i'm making you realize how much of a idiot you are?" She was kidding and he better realize that.

He would like to think that his foals were far better than the two odd ones that Pretty Lady and the Brave had somehow wound up 'adopting'... But he could understand why the mare was apprehensive and he'd respect that. "Ah give you time, Rogue. Don't want ta rush anythin'... Tryin' ta do somethin' right for once."
His nose wrinkled as he butted his head gently against her shoulder before making his way back across the stream. "Ah see how it gonna be." He snorted softly, teasingly turning his nose into the air, letting his tail swish behind him. "Ah shoulda known a river rat like you'd never be nice to a swamp rat like me."

She snickered slightly. "Nice is a little much to ask." She trotted out of the river and after flicking most of the water off her tail looked at him. "You'd have to earn me being nice and i don't think you've earned that yet."
Turning around and looking over the plains she looked over her shoulder at Remy. "Maybe if your a really good boy then i'll be a little nicer"

"You're killin' me, chere." He nickered softly as he followed after her, leaning down to give her flank a gentle nudge. "Ah been good since da day you met me... You jus' didn't want ta admit it." He nodded slowly before looking past her towards the plains.
"Y'feelin' up for another run?"

"When am i not up for a run?" She shifted as he nudged her and then took off at a canter away from the lake. He could catch her then they could run together.
She liked running and it was even better when she had someone to run with. Not many could keep up with her.
