His fur puffed up in surprise at the sudden outburst from the hyena, nearly -flying- away to one side, before checking for his pulse in the name of safety. Oh good, he was still alive.

He flushed a bit at the round-about way of saying he was -loud-, and shuffled his paws a bit. "But I'm not -colorful-. I'd -so- rather have your colors than my markings." he admitted, ears flattening back a bit. Too bad there wasn't plastic surgery in the savannah for little insecure lions like himself who wanted more out of what they'd been born with.

Not that he'd know about such things.

However, Nitesh leaned back as FAR as he could without falling over when the imminent threat of being drooled on surfaced. As great as being drooled all over by a purple hyena would have bee, the brown juvenile -so- was not up for it.

".....Thanks?" he replied unsurely, pondering on what degree he should take compliments from this... well, what he presumed was a less-than-sane being.

Illuminated eyes grew large when the_Izulu suddenly came close again, almost foreseeing the strange affection that the canine had suddenly become accustomed to - were all... Izulucreatures so strange, with their slobbering affections? It boggled the littler feline so as he wiped his face clean of whatever carryon was on his face, his ears swivelling attention to both of them.

"Maybe there is someone on the Savannah who could change your furcolour, then? It may sound funny, but I'd heard rumours when I finally arrived here, of gods and such. Maybe they can help" he idly pulled from the gods knows where, his eyes suddenly fixtated on the little brown lion, curious as to what the answer for that solution may be. It was far-fetched - for the little runner had never truely.. seen a god, and it had even sounded.. funny to him when he was told of their existance.

"You mean the big things with wings that don't go 'squak squak!'" Izulu informed. Somehow, the "little" minded hyena knew what Gods were; perhaps because of the one that had brought her to Urishikino in the first place. Her bright eyes looked between the two of them, not at all upset by the wiping they'd done of their faces. She panted a little, tail beating against the ground happilly. "but Nitesh-not-Paki is so pretty!" She tilted her head, giving a crooning little whine of confusion. "Maybe if a god-thingie will change your colours... we could all go and find one! And it'll be great fun!" She nodded enthusiastically, before her ears flopped back, "But.. the Ivy King will take over the Pride if we go. That would not be good, no no no."

When faced with the actual chance of getting a different look, Nitesh picked up his tail and hugged it as best he could. While he was indeed vehement about a different fur color, he was NOT vehement about letting anybody else change it for him.

"Umm. Thanks for the suggestion, but I think I'll stick with this one." he said, grinning nervously, then looking to Izulu and taking the last thing she said as a reason why, not realizing it may seal his doom in the future.

"Like she said, we have to protect the pride from the.. er.. Ivy King!" he parroted, laughing and sinking his shoulders a bit in a sort of nervously way. Not that he knew what 'Ivy' was, nor that in the mind of the Hyena, he was a very large threat to all of sanity and whathaveyou.

That might have been why she was messed up in the head, however.

"... Besides.. I... don't know that I've seen a 'god' before.. I know we have one around her SOMEWHERE.. but I don't trust them." he insisted, speaking the truth on a strange level. Odd how one raised to believe in gods wouldn't trust them.

Well he knew that prides could be odd, but not as odd as the one that these two apparently had been in. Scrinching his face in a odd "what?" like fashion, only to drop it after attention to unravel what they had just said and dropping it like dead weight. Blinking once and shaking his head, he decided to answer the last part of the conversation, about the so called Gods.

Cocking his head left, he looked to the other two almost in pure curiousity. "Gods? I've only heard of them on the legends that had flooded my homeland from this place. Are they lion, or like me, or The-Izulu?" He asked with honesty riddling his voice, for he had only arrived here from such a short while ago, and wanted to be accustomed to everything he could so he didn't look like such a foreign being.

"She is a great winged one like nitesh-not-paki!" Izulu informed him happily. A thought stirred at the back of her head, then, but she paid it no mind as her tail and bum wagged happily. He'd agreed with her! Izulu gave a great bark of joy and pressed her side to Nitesh's. After giving one of his ears a gentle, but thorough, gnawing, the heyna grinned, "I didn't know Nitesh-not-paki knew about the Ivy King! You must help me!" She bounced a little in place, then once more glued to his side. "And Ujalla-thingie can join us maybe and we call all rid the world of his evil together!!"

It was then that the other thought clicked and her ears swivled up right as if to catch a small noise. "The Goddess is a lion like Nitesh-not-paki and Izulu-thingie!" She barked softly, a huge grin spreading across her face. Suddenly it all made sense! She lived with lions, for that was what they called themselves, so that must be what she was. It had never occurred to her why people were so obsessed with "what" another thing was. Now, she realized she had her own "what" to be a part of and it made her proud.

He seemed to realize, a bit too late, that the Hyena was rather serious about this Ivy King bit, and had just, unwittingly, offered himself to the cause of the girl's war.

AHHHHHH.

"So a big winged lion-thingur... gottit.." Afterall, since Izulu had referred to herself as 'like the goddess thing', and Nitesh as 'like the goddess thing', Izulu = Nitesh, and Nitesh = a Lion.

It all worked out in his mind, at least. But still.. he'd never seen a lion that looked so strange.....

The brown juvie rubbed his poor molested ear, looking at the Hyena by his side, and imagining her fighting a giant plant of some sort from how passionately she seemed to want to fight this 'evil' she spoke of. Well, at least it seemed like she was referring to it in a negative way.

Perhaps he was just losing braincells.

Swirving his ears back on his head once more, his illuminated eyes flickered away as he took the idea into his mind, winged lions were just as scary as real lions were to a cheetah, but they could be like vultures! Picking things out of the sky.

How frightening.

"Well, that's somewhat of a shame then, that the gods are only lions - but they are considered kingly in the races, so I guess I understand." he stated, with his maw sort of crooked. "But is the_Izulu a lion also? You look more like a dog than a feline to me." he noted, his tail flickering from beside him. "I think the gods must be wonderous, always being able to roam the words, outliving us and watching over their kind. I wonder if they watch over cheetahs.. and.. the_Izulus also.." whistfully finished his statement, as he sunk into a very thoughtful position, almost daydreaming about meeting one, atleast once, so that he may bask in their beauty.

"The Izulu is a lion!" She chirped, somewhat defiantly in the implication that she wasn't. She had only just adopted this new title for herself, but in moments she was as affronted as if it'd been a part of her personality all along. The ever shifting reasons and understandings that lay within her mind seemed to have some sort of synapse misfire once again. She slobbered on one of Nitesh's ears, quite disinterested in the entire conversation for a time and banged her pale lilac tail against the ground merrily.

Sitting around like this was becoming boring, however, and she'd come out here for a reason. Now... if only she could remember what it was. The hyena-turned-lion tilted her head to one side, letting Nitesh's ear go. It took a moment, but then something green in the distance ((they were in a jungle, what WASN'T green in the distance?)) caught her eye. "IVY KING!" She crowed and took off after it, leaving the other two in peace.

"Sounds like a kinda depressing life if you ask me. I mean... I wanna live my life, and when it's over, it's over. I'd HATE to live forever. I mean, if regrets last forever, then that's how much longer bad memories would haunt someone, wouldn't y'think?" Nitesh inquired with his opinions on the gods, before leaning away from the Hyena slobbering on his ear.

"*UGH*, can we try to not get spit in my ear, please?" he complained, rubbing a paw against his ear, only to make the problem worse.

ARRRRRGH!

In fact, he tilted his head to one side and bopped a paw against the other side in hopes it'd make the substance just fall out of his ear.

So far, it was making him lose his hearing, and failing horribly.

"Wow, slobbery makes you deaf, apparently.." he commented.
