So long as extremes are avoided in any system of government, it will endure longer than those who do use extremes. Effective democracies do that, but only where effective and organized properly. Honestly I haven't studied enough of government (and frankly I doubt anybody in this forum has) to make any solid statements on this topic. Even if I had studied it... without having LIVED in a country under a different form of government for a long period of time I'm not qualified to judge.

elfenlover Joshua_Ritter Absolute Monarchy. Hey guys. Come meet your new leader. lol. Agreed. Monarchy is so the best. i could have sworn the whole reason for our counrty even comeing about is because our founding fathers were sick of the monarchs...i dont think it is a bad idea, but you would have to make guidlines so as not to let the monarch have comlete controle.

How about near anarchy? Everyone keeping to themselves and doing no harm for fear of retribution by the community of loose-knit autonomous yet cooperating individuals.

Ok i like my gov. for the most part. “I live in the U.S." but I wish that they would put more focus on different things, like our public school system. Which at the moment, is a loss cause. Or our economy, which is now failing miserably. I also wish we had more candidates’ to chose from. Last time I voted i felt like i was choosing the lesser of two evils. It felt horrible. I love my country but man do we make some stupid mistakes.

That's a constitutional monarchy. But mine will be absolute. So, no.

You could vote Green, Peace and Freedom, Libertarian, Independent, (if they actually had a candidate) National-Socialist Libertarian Green, or anyone else.

I've put a lot of thought into this... and Democracy tends to F--k everything up, because people as a whole are idiots, and thus elect and vote for idiots and idiotic things... Monarchy isn't perfect because the first in line are good.. but... then, like an empire, the line gets weaker traits etc... Anarchy is just... that is why punk people and hippies should NOT do drugs confused ..direct democracy worked very temporarily... A republic? naw...
No. People are too stupid as a whole to do anything to cooperate with what their leader is saying; when they have too much freedom, they oppose the leader, when they don't have enough freedom, they revolt against the leader... and when the leader is incompetant, the people tend to like them, or don't care, then the leader leads them to a hell of stupid mistakes.
If we knew more about psychology and how people think, and.. how to control that >_>... for the greater good of course. It's perfectly okay to comepletely mind-control someone as long as it's for "The greater good" right? mrgreen [/sarcasm]
People are dumb, make them smarter, you sacrafice their freedom, leave them dumb, and... they get dumber. When you get a large group of people together, living together, for a long period of time, and they don't cooperate JUST RIGHT, you tend to flip a b***h on evolution...

I become the monarch and then my scientists build me nanoprobes so I can stay alive and rule forever and don't have to trust me idiot children. I hope you all support me in my bid for Kaiser und Fuhrer.

No, we need a Dictatorship, with a benevolent Dictator who is open minded and doesn't have his thoughts controlled by any certain religion. (ie. Bush and christianity). It's a country of all people and all religions, it shouldn't be ruled by the laws of one. Judgement should be more just, when a person is proven guilty the cost of their crimes should be far far greater than they are and we go back to the old Roman times where in court you don't swear on a damn bible, you swear on your reproductive system, cuz if you're caught lying, snip snip.
Who wants to vote me Benevolent Dictator of 2012? (Wait....VOTE?! ******** that s**t, I'm taking over wink mwhahahahaha...er...I mean ....CANDY FOR ALL =D )
But anyway, Democracy sucks, because you have a country full of dumbshits and rednecks voting for fellow dumbshits and rednecks....capisce?

Personally, I wouldn't mind Socialism, if everyone gave into the money pot, as someone wisely said before me. I have the kind of thinking that would embrace Marxism, but that's sort of a lost cause already. Looks good on paper, anyway. So maybe I'll just stick with Socialist Canada. blaugh

Wolfeona The Wise i know, but those partys are a wasted vote. i ment like two people per party. that would be nice but they would proble get more elabrate in there sceeming There is no such thing as a wasted vote! That's why the Republicans and the Democrats have screwed us up so much in the first place! THERE ARE MORE THAN TWO PARTIES IN THE UNITED STATES!!! NO VOTE SOMETHING ORIGINAL! At any rate, there is no form of government that is not run by humans, and as such, it is subject to the same entropy as humans. There are good humans and bad humans, therefore there are good governments and bad governments, and it has nothing to do with the model used, but the people within. IF YOU DON"T LIKE YOUR LEADERS, VOTE THEM OUT! Also, Josh Ritter for Almighty World Emperor.
